[ The Exuvia's great, serpentine body shifts, fluffy tail curling and uncurling in the growing pool of blood beneath it. More of that same copper scent fills the air and when it looks up, there's bits of familiar red hair sticking out from under its mouth.
The dragon regards him mournfully, then turns back to drop its head, latching onto something and throwing its maw back as something fleshy and shapeless gets swallowed down its greedy gullet. There's the very audible, very loud sound of something swallowing, and then great massive coils of its body unwind as it stretches out and turns to fully face the other man.
Even in the oppressive darkness, its body is a beacon of light, keeping most if not all of the other things in the outlying shadows away. Zhongli can probably hear them; the gnashing of claws and teeth, breath issuing from behind snarls in wisps of steam that issue forth. There's more beyond their little circle of sight, just waiting for the opportunity.
The Exuvia approaches on bloodied claws, its head tilting and lifting so that it towers fully over Zhongli's form. It's definitely a lot bigger than what had been in the Golden House and, aside from the color of its eyes, it retains almost every visible characteristic from back then.
Zhongli's question is answered when it dips its head down, nosing softly at the consultant's features, smearing blood and bits of torn flesh and hair over Zhongli's front. Much like a cat bunting at its beloved human, this not-Exuvia gives the brunet the same treatment. It's certainly affectionate.
