[Lucy rests on her side, facing away from Baku as well so she doesn't break her own rule by staring at him.
Awkwardly, she says:]
Thanks.
[It takes her a little while to fall asleep given her anxiety of having to share a bed with a stranger, but her breathing eventually slows and evens out. Her dream, however, is anything but peaceful.
The location is the very top of the Enoshima Sea Candle, or what's left of it since the entire top has been blown off and many of the beams have been twisted out of shape. Lucy sees herself lying on the floor, face down, but just like the Sea Candle, there wasn't much left of her. She was surrounded by a pool of her own blood and melted flesh. Parts of her skeleton--scapulae, vertebrae, and ribs--were visible due to how little flesh remained attached to her. Even half of her face was gone.]
Painful... So painful...
[The voice of dream Lucy doesn't sound like her, though. Instead, it sounds like many voices speaking at once, and that's how the Lucy who's observing this nightmare knows it's actually the DNA Voice she's seeing. Or rather, it was the DNA Voice currently in control of the ruined body.
Meanwhile, in Baku's futon, Lucy's breathing quickened with her heartbeat; her brows furrowed; and her forehead was covered in sweat. She buried her face deeper into the pillow.]
