It would be foolish to hand over a weapon to a would be attacker, even if his own magic would be more than enough, but she doesn’t seem to be a threat. And he has no real attachment to the weapon, though he’d rather not have to go seeking a new one should she instead run off with it.
He debates with himself a while longer before slowly handing the sword over — staring intently, curious to what she wants it for in the first place.]
