[open] Vortex of Time

[After his last few experiences with time surges, the samurai probably should have been more wary, but curiosity has its way of coaxing him to recklessness sometimes. He'd climbed in expecting at the very least to have some memory of why he was there.

He misunderstood what exactly what would happen.

The child that's huddling up to his chin in the bath is very tiny. There's only a slight bit of boyish maturity to him, hinting that his age was a bit older than his size appears— likely around 10 or so. Nervousness is clear on his face, and not from his struggle to keep himself above the water when he's sitting.

He doesn't know where he is. He's heard about baths like this at the Royal Bathhouse, but surely even if his father had been invited to bathe he wouldn't have left his only heir alone with his katana. Eventually, he gets anxious enough he turns around in the water, reaching for the katana laying at the side of the pool when he notices someone nearby.]

Did my father send you?

[He isn't speaking Japanese, though there's some tones to it that make it sound like an extremely old dialect. Having never set foot out of his homeland, he's speaking Inazuman, though his way of speaking is quite mature for such a young child.]
