We might have.

[There's no way to argue if they'd met in the previous loop, unable to recall anything that happened then, just as soon they would forget they had been... friends this time around. Had they met in the previous loop would it have been fate to draw them close this time around? Was that the only reason he and Kazuha had grown close? Scaramouche dislikes the thought, that his desire for the samurai's time was something he didn't choose for himself.

No, even if they had met previously, everything that had happened had been his choice. He enjoyed Kazuha's company because of all they'd done together, not because fate had compelled him into it.]

If fate is what you want to believe responsible for this, so be it. However, I would rather not give credit for our friendship to something outside of our control... can I not simply enjoy your company because I want to.

[The immortal shakes his head, allowing the samurai to pull him along until they're standing out on the balcony. He notices how despite not being entirely trapped in by the man's grip, the hold Kazuha keeps on him remains tight. With how he's acted, how he tried to run, he can't find reason to blame him.]

Am I not allowed? Perhaps I was tired of being alone.

[The Harbinger sees little reason to give much explanation, not when he's gone through multiple reasons in his own head. He's admit to plenty this night already, how much more detail Kazuha wants from him he doesn't know, but he's not certain how much more he can offer. How much more he has to admit to himself first.

A sigh escapes him, eyes fixed on the other Inazuman now that he can face him and they're alone. He's unsure as to what else he can offer, the feelings inside him not having dissipated. Everything about this is difficult, so he pushes his focus to something else.

With his free hand Scaramouche reaches up to tuck some of the loose strands of hair behind Kazuha's ear, pausing as though there's a particularly troubling thought he's working through. After a moment he pulls the tie from the samurai's hair, running his fingers through it as a makeshift comb. It's not perfect, but his hair loose looks much nicer with his current outfit than it does tied up.]

How is it that even when you dress up you can't keep your hair from being a mess.
