[his words are lighthearted enough, but there's no denying that his self esteem issues are still there. it's not that he wants to put himself down (really, he does feel awful that Red Wine constantly tries to banish those thoughts away), but he just can't help it. he knows he needs to work on it and himself; perhaps, if time were to continue on as normal, he could focus on it. maybe work towards being a better person to himself, and to those he'd formed those close bonds with. and, especially, to the man in front of him.

it's a feat, but at least it's a goal to work towards]
