He huffed out a chuckle. "Perhaps, if I am here long enough, I will stop," he offered lightly. Here he wasn't working in anti-terrorism, where he had to ignore his own wellbeing in order to save lives. He wasn't at war, either, and there were people here who actually gave a damn. He would've scoffed at it not too long ago, but now it was starting to sound pretty appealing. Letting himself live the safe, comfortable civilian life.
