@silversoldier

Am I... a human being?

No such luck. You are a monster.

[Ah. This memory. Of all the memories to come about with Sephiroth standing next to him, it had to be this one. Knowing the general, Genesis doubted he would still believe it. The man was very particular on what was the truth and what wasn't and the main thing that had to happen for him to believe something like this was that he needed to experience it first hand.

Still, Genesis wondered if the memory would suffice, even if it was not his own. Especially as Genesis in the memory not only laid out just what Sephiroth was, but also essentially begged for his help. What a fool he had been, thinking Sephiroth would actually go along with it after all this time, after being merciless with the truth. After all, Sephiroth really couldn't handle the truth after Nibelheim. He handled it in Havenport but would he be able to in Nippon?

Only time would tell.]

Whether your words are lies created to deceive me... or the truth, that I have sought all my life. It makes no difference.

You will rot.

[Reliving this didn't make the hurt that much easier. Genesis hadn't realized it was clear as day on his face, even if he had no idea how his memory could be viewed in such a way. But it really didn't matter. Sephiroth left him after that, to stew in the answer he had been given. Of course, Genesis always had to have the last word back then.]

I see... perfect monster, indeed.

[Genesis turned away as his memory self began to recite LOVELESS once more, more or less walking away from the memory with quick and sure steps. That's all it was. A memory. Nothing more.]
