[ Maglor makes a face - he's not unfamiliar with the CONCEPT of orphans, but that it's so prevalent amongst Men rubs him the wrong way. It happens in war, to be sure, even amongst Elves - with Maglor himself having created more than a few, but it's vanishingly rare because of how precious children are. ]
