Ayaka doesn't mind what could have been and what was lost, because they held hands even after that, ran away from a threat that wasn't truly so, amongst other things.
She dances for him not to get back what was lost, but because she's moved on. She shows him a display of her elegance and grace, like a heron in flight, in hopes of letting him into her world some more. All he has to do is be there and witness it all if he so wishes. But she tells herself that there is nothing to be worried about. Didn't she want this, too? She smiles against his lips as her arms reach up to wrap around his neck. Those thoughts of kissing him these past days all go out the window. This is much better.
