Nah. Was just a little bump...

[ Just when he brushes it off (it actually didn't hurt! Just felt awkward because both of them screwed up. ...or he was supposed to cant HIS head. Either or,) he blinks rapidly a couple times when the white heron gives the tip of his nose another gentle peck. That did more than just set his cheeks ablaze. He suddenly felt very nervous, but...in an exciting way. The warmth in his heart spreads, and he finds himself swallowing because what she did just now?

It was very charming. It's as bold as he's ever seen her. Hell, both of them were taking leaps tonight. And it just so happened they kept catching one another at the end of the fall. Cloud shakes his head and does the same thing, sitting back beside her fully and letting the moment sink in. To say this was a whirlwind month was something of an understatement. And while he refused to take back anything he had to deal with (minus one fight. thank god for healing materia. fdajkslh), he's also taking his time accepting the nature of this world. A part of him may always feel awkward about having those more vivid thoughts. But...when he finds himself with people like Ayaka? ]

All better.

[ Maybe it wasn't so bad. To let his mind wander, both for the sweeter things and—

Oh! Fireworks. Sure enough, if Ayaka does look over, she'll find his mako-infused eyes lit up by the various sparkling pops that kiss the night sky. Yet with one hand still in hers, he can feel her eyes on him, leading to him looking back down. The soft rumble of fireworks from their gazebo casts equally soft flashes of light on the young Kamisato from behind. Honestly... He huffs a soft laugh, shaking his head as his gaze looks out to the distant lights of the street they walked off from. Some of the vendors were beginning to close up shop, whilst some food stalls remained open. Sooner or later, they too would get ready to call it a night as the fireworks became less and less frequent. ]

[ It's too late to take the train back to Tokyo, especially since, given the rather intimate festivities? There was a good chance that the supposed "party" train would have even less chill. No amount of restraint over his yokai self could handle being around that all night... Not when his thoughts were already flickering back to the gazebo at the palace, the gazebo off the beaten path in Ukiyo. How soft her lips felt, the tease of a taste and the squeeze of her slender hand in his. Thoughts that no doubt would leave him having a hard time sleeping. But at least he could go to bed tonight (and many more to come), having memories instead of fantasies.

As they drew closer and closer to her place in Kyoto, however, he looked...reluctant. Like he wasn't so sure he wanted to go. But the other part of him, the rational end? Said that he would probably see her tomorrow anyways! He was staying here tonight anyway. Cloud was going to take her home safely, find a hotel room to stay in since he was still hunting for a place himself, and that would be the end of that.

Even if he did say he'd keep the party going for them...guess it had to come to an end at some point. ]
