Cheating doesn't even come to Noctis's mind when Prompto mentions going on a date with some mysterious magic user. He knows Prompto well enough to know that he would never actually cheat on him, wouldn't even dream of it. Prompto had given everything to stand by Noctis's side in Lucis, going with him when he had no obligation to besides his love and friendship... So, Noctis felt confident in thinking that nothing had changed here in Nippon, that nothing will change.

"Will there be other lessons?" he asks, genuinely curious. "The Sora magic sounds so complex... It took me years to master the magic that comes with the Lucian line, and even then, I still don't have the skills my dad did. There's no way this mysterious person covered everything in one lesson."

He runs a hand up Prompto's leg, pulling him closer to rest comfortably in his arms. The chocobos smell, and Noctis doesn't particularly want to be cuddling in the barn with the chocobos, but he doesn't have the heart to tell Prompto that they should go inside. He's so damn happy... and that makes Noctis happy.
