Curse/Kizuna Catch-All for September

⌛ Who: Runyu and anyone he encounters
⌛ What: For about a week he'll be cursed (close CR) and then he'll experience his first full Kizuna transformation...

⌛ Warnings: Childhood trauma will be mentioned as part of the dragon transformation. May include implications of child abuse/neglect.

A. Cursed (Closed to Close CR only)

The tea set he'd been given was an odd one. Still, he was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, even with knowing the curses this place had on offer. It was one chipped cup and something about that drew him in. One chipped up in a set... No, he shouldn't apply personal experiences to something as simplistic as a teacup.

Still, he prepared tea in the set and set the chipped up before his own place. The other cups were for anyone who wished to join him.

Of course he was noticing that the more tea he sipped the more bitter it became. And dry? Confused, he frowned and looked into the tea in the pot curiously. Which was likely how someone would come across him if they were at the Four Seasons Manor.


B. Transformation (Open to all)

Of the three of them living in his rooms, he was the one who hadn't yet experienced a full transformation. Probably for the best given what his transformations had been so far. However, today was about to change that fact. Because today he felt the pain in his body as he changed and quickly rushed outside. The large and unexpected dragon form meant that some things were broken on his way out of Four Seasons, rushing into the sky to go into the forests.

There he moved into a pool of water, his scales glistening. He didn't want to be seen. It wasn't the pain that caused it though. Instead it was the idea that someone could see this body of his. His true body. Only a few had been allowed to see it and now here it was on display without him having control of the fact.

Anyone coming across the water in the forest would likely see the large silvery dragon shy away from them. Between pain and panic, he was stressed. In need of reassurance honestly. But he certainly didn't know how to ask for it...

'When both my loves were changed like this I found the best way to help them was to have them relax until they were able to will it. Which is probably what we have to do now too.'

Unfortunately. He hated that he had so little control over this. It made him feel so exposed and vulnerable. Letting out a sigh, he closed his eyes a moment.

'...thank you. For following me.'

[firefalling]

His head cocks at that, then sorrow settles over him - more for his brother than himself. He's never been as uncomfortable in his own form as he suspects his brother is. He doesn't have to know the reason to sense it's truth. He's never asked.

'You would do the same for me.' He knows that, has never doubted it. Why should he? Runyu is his best friend as well as his brother. If they can't turn to each other for something, who can they?

There was a time when he knew that wouldn't have been true. But he was past that time and knew that Xufeng was from before it. So really that was all that mattered. Yes, he would do the same for him. He would. Large blue eyes slowly opened to look down at his brother.

'Yes. Yes, I would.' He had to say it. Like it would ensure it to be a promise he would never break again.

[firefalling]

And Xufeng is blissfully ignorant of that time.

The phoenix gazes back at him, a bit curious why his brother had decided it needed answered. Repeated.

Hmph. He shakes himself and shifts on his feet, feathers ruffling just to do something. He's missing something and has to wonder if it's...him.

Or Jinmi.

But he won't ask. Not while they're like this. Maybe never.

'Would you...tell me about them?' He wonders if that might help his brother relax.

'About who?'

Was he referring to his loves? He supposed they hadn't really talked much about them yet. But he figured he'd better ask to be sure. So he could answer him properly.

[firefalling]

His feathers poof as he realizes he'd gotten a bit lost in his own head again.

'...Your lovers.'

He doesn't have a right to be jealous. And he isn't, not really. He's happy his brother has found people to relax around and love.

'Yu Mingye and Ouyang. Ye'er is someone with a mischievous side. He often teases me for having so much tea since I've been collecting it as something of a hobby. But he has a heart that reached out to me and saved me when I was at my lowest. He's a cultivator and I always know he will use his talents to keep those he loves safe.'

There was clear love in his voice as he spoke of his loves. They were precious to him and meant the world to him. Xufeng wouldn't know about their conflict over Jinmi nor how Runyu would always love her in his own way. Yet none of that compared to his feelings for these two men.

'Ya'er is a solider. He's typically more serious but he and I bonded over similar experiences in our past.' Those he didn't explain because he didn't want to hurt his brother by sharing what he'd endured. Besides his brother was a point where he'd be too willing to give certain people involved the benefit of the doubt. 'He often takes care of Ye'er and I. I think he enjoys that he has more life skills when it comes to cooking and cleaning than we do. Since it makes him so happy I always just stay out of his way. But his heart is a beautiful one. Warm and loving to those that are precious to him.'

His precious loves. How he adored them. 'We have essentially taken in a little dog that I named Daiyu as our daughter. She's so much more than a pet. And now the Dream Beast has joined us as well.'
