Sizhui looked up when he heard that tone in Jiang Cheng's voice. It was hard to tell what it was but it almost felt like it was emotional pain. He knew the man had just gone through so much recently. While he didn't have all the details he had enough for his heart to have such sympathy for him.

No one should ever have to go through that. Not ever.

His gaze lowered as he pondered what the appropriate action to take here was. They were hardly close. In fact, he'd say that his own boyfriend was closer to the man. Yet, this was his family. Very much so. And, well, in the end that won out more than anything.
