🌸 i'd give you my sunshine, give you my best
⌛ Who: ayaka + everyone who wants to come!!
⌛ What: a winter gathering
⌛ When: early december
⌛ Where: the kamisato estate, kyoto
⌛ Warnings:
[ It is early, the start of the month, when Ayaka posts an invitation on the network, much like her housewarming gathering a few months ago. ]
no sky,
no land– just
snow falling
It is the season of the tsubaki. And as the year comes to a close, I pray that we all have not forgotten one another.
If you are not busy, I would like to invite you to a gathering for refugees at the Kamisato Estate this Sunday. The address is [here], in Kyoto.
Please bring an ingredient you would like to put in hotpot! You may also dress however you like.
And if you have any questions, please feel free to send a message.
Kamisato Ayaka

Welcome to the Kamisato Residence. Compared to how it was the last time in May, there are more things to see, given how even more furnished the house has become.
Past the gates and into the residence, one will see the courtyard with a small pond, some trees, and stones. The last time Ayaka had invited people into her home, this spacious area was used for a sparring game. Spar with one another using the given bokken, and win a prize! There are still wooden swords to use if people would like to do so, but Ayaka did not intend for people to focus on the outside tonight.
The gathering this time will be indoors! But please behave and don't go into the rooms of both Ayato and Ayaka. The rest of the rooms are spacious and comfortable anyway, so it is easy to find a spot to be cosy and just hang there for a while.
In the dining area, one might find a low table with a portrait of the Kamisato's parents who have passed. With the portrait is a vase filled with a bunch of camellias, and a small candle that's lit. Should you be curious, Ayaka will say a quick prayer before introducing you to her parents.
Platters of sushi and sashimi are served on one side, along with a variety of refreshments like juice and sake, and desserts. Dango, dorayaki, and other assortments are available, and a special sakura mochi is served, too! Once again, a giant pot makes its comeback! It is just as she said in her invitation: bring an ingredient you would like to put in hotpot. And as such? Here is a giant pot, with broth already put in. Anyone is free to add in an ingredient– no matter how silly or ridiculous it may be! The rules are loosely based on her retainer's version of this game. . . if you are able to guess what ingredient was put in it and who did it? Then. . . congratulations! Alas, there is no prize to win, though. Pride, perhaps, in surviving something that may or may not be entirely safe!
Now, before one enters the house, there are little flower pins by the door. "Take three!", the sign reads. All the flowers are camellias of different colours– red, pink, orange, yellow, and white. You may take three of the same colour or mix and match– it is completely up to you! But there are so many pins for everyone.
What are the pins for? Why, for a game that will promote getting to know one another, of course!
Give a camellia pin to someone by putting it on their clothing or simply handing it to them. This will mean that the other person has to give you a compliment, even if you've only just met! The objective of the game is to get rid of all the pins you got at the door and have a completely new set of pins on you!
Innocent and simple as Ayaka's little game may be, she's completely unaware that the shop where she'd purchased these from put a little bit of an enchantment in these flowers. Wearing a red pin may make you a bit more friendly, eager to hold hands or hug the person you're closest to! The pink pin may make one feel extra special, wanting the attention of everyone around you, whether it's in the form of telling a joke, dancing, or just making your voice louder than usual. The orange pin may make its wearer feel like it's cursed. If they don't get kissed by midnight, they're going to turn into a frog! The yellow pin may make the person wearing it keep smiling. Seriously– did you want to chew your food? Too bad, you gotta do it with a grin on your face. . . and somehow, the white pins are mostly harmless, but the person wearing it somehow can't. Stop. Moving. Must. Move! Must raise arms! Must jog in place! Oh no. And having more than one pin on somehow mixes and matches these strange enchantments, too…
Ayaka has also brought out various card games and board games for her guests– challenge one another to a game of shogi or go, play a game of cards? There are normal playing cards for Two ten Jack, and if rules need to be explained, Ayaka will be more than happy to introduce the game! There are also Hanafuda cards and some dice for dice games for one's amusement.
And lastly? Before leaving, why not leave the guests something to remember you by? A scrapbook will be passed around from one guest to another, inviting everyone to leave a note– whether it is for the Kamisatos or another guest tonight. You can leave your name on the note as well, or keep it anonymous. It makes things interesting!
There is no special occasion for tonight, but Ayaka did want to make it memorable! Seeing as it is not a festival, there are no fireworks on display tonight. There are sparklers available to play around with though– but do it outside!
[ Mingle, create your own top levels, and have fun! 🌸 Ayaka will be wandering about and introducing herself to just about everyone. SHE WANTS TO MAKE FRIENDS 👉👈 ]
