[The whole business with people (like her) being kidnapped and forced into bondage against their will sucked. Anyway, Kokoro wanted to forget all that, even if the tattoo around her arm wouldn't come off. (She'd tried to freeze it off, but nothing worked when you were immune to the cold.) Anyway, the summer in Tokyo was oppressively humid and hot, enough to make the yuki-onna want to cry and figure out a way to run to Hokkaido.

So the next best thing would have to be implemented. The extra energy she'd received through kizuna was more than enough for her to do this and also not need emergency kisses. A cloud appeared over the park she'd chosen, as she transformed into her full yuki-onna form, blue fingertips and lips and all floating white hair. Snow began to fall from the clouds as the temperature in the park dropped from oppressively hot to chilly, to nice and cold, just like she needed it.

With the extra kizuna, she could freeze more than 100 yards of the small park, further than she'd ever been able to before. That finished, Kokoro sat down on a blanket and picked out her favorite onigiri from a basket she'd brought along with her. Now all that was left was to let everyone know:]

As promised, I've got a lovely snow day for all of us who are melting from the heat. Please come to the park I've indicated on the map I've made! Let's have a nice day!

[Kokoro jumped in surprise as someone jogged up to her (yuki-onna were nervy sorts, and she felt more inclined to flight instead of fight when she looked like this to begin with. She swallowed down her bite of onigiri before answering.]

Nothing this big, usually; I'm just expending a lot of overflow energy I've gained. I didn't think it'd go quite this far, but it's nice anyway. I'm Amamiya Kokoro, who are you?

[At least she wasn't trying to stare at/in the hole from this position.]

[Listen it's fine either way lots of people stare at the hole.]
It's nice of you to share it with everyone, then! Ah, I'm Fukuda Tamotsu.

[But, since she has a Japanese name, and the snow;]

Are you a yuki-onna?

It's nice to meet you, Fukuda-san. And... I... yeah. Yeah, I am. How did you know? Most people see us and go in the opposite direction.

[Miss. Miss. Do you know you feed of human energy, or did you forget?]

Well, it was just an educated guess, I suppose? What with the snow.

[He is not running. If anything he looks jazzed.]

That's cool. I've never met a yuki-onna before.

There aren't a lot of us to meet, to be fair.

[Even at home, she only knew of five others in Japan and most of them lived in Hokkaido or northern Honshu. One of them was her so-many-grands grandma. Who still looked like she was in her twenties.]

Or at least, at home there's not. Here... I'm not entirely sure.

[Nippon wasn't covered in ice, anyway.]

Mm. There do seem to be a lot of things here that were simply the things of myth where I'm from. There could be more like you here, for all we know!

[A friendly laugh!!]

[Well. Despite the hole in his brainpan, he's not making any weird movements yet.]

There might be, but we probably won't see any this far south. It's too hot for us. I've been using up a lot of energy just keeping cold.

[Oh yeah, the hole. It goes all the way through his head!]

Oh yeah... the summer weather must be hard for you. Especially since I don't think walk-in freezers have been invented yet. Though with the magic we have access to, maybe we could make one?

[She's looked, of course she's looked, but she doesn't say anything. Instead, she answers his question.]

I am super looking forward to fall, yeah. The NRL gave me an apartment with a really chilly aircon, and if I have anyone over, I have a kotatsu. But I can't be holed up all the time. And I can't have all this energy, either. So. Snow day!

[She can't stop thinking about the hole (what does he do when it itches?), and motions instead to where his eyebrow would be.]

Have you thought about getting an eyebrow tattooed? Or drawn on?

[He blinks a bit, like he didn't expect the conversation to be turned back on him. A hand raises to touch the area where his eyebrow used to be, distantly self conscious.]

I haven't. I didn't even really know that was a thing you could do? Or... I mean, I thought the hole was more what drew people's attention. And I didn't go out much when I was back home, so it didn't really come up ever.
