[The whole business with people (like her) being kidnapped and forced into bondage against their will sucked. Anyway, Kokoro wanted to forget all that, even if the tattoo around her arm wouldn't come off. (She'd tried to freeze it off, but nothing worked when you were immune to the cold.) Anyway, the summer in Tokyo was oppressively humid and hot, enough to make the yuki-onna want to cry and figure out a way to run to Hokkaido.

So the next best thing would have to be implemented. The extra energy she'd received through kizuna was more than enough for her to do this and also not need emergency kisses. A cloud appeared over the park she'd chosen, as she transformed into her full yuki-onna form, blue fingertips and lips and all floating white hair. Snow began to fall from the clouds as the temperature in the park dropped from oppressively hot to chilly, to nice and cold, just like she needed it.

With the extra kizuna, she could freeze more than 100 yards of the small park, further than she'd ever been able to before. That finished, Kokoro sat down on a blanket and picked out her favorite onigiri from a basket she'd brought along with her. Now all that was left was to let everyone know:]

As promised, I've got a lovely snow day for all of us who are melting from the heat. Please come to the park I've indicated on the map I've made! Let's have a nice day!

[what do you do when you can't catch snowballs because you're already holding two?

You punch them!

And immediately follow up with the two snowballs, throwing them low as well]

[Kokoro doesn't have time to react, because she is laughing at Star punching out the snowballs. Well. That was one way to get a snowball out of the way.]

Ack!

[Both of the snowballs make impact, and even if she can't feel the cold any more, there is a flurry of movement as she dusts the snow off. Her mandala lays some cover fire, all aimed at keeping Star moving and not throwing balls at her while she dusts off. It manages to fire three rounds before she straightens up again and tosses a fourth.]

[it's efficient and he is a punchy boy it only make sense!

Star does keep moving, unbothered by the snowballs that do manage to hit him - because he isn't fighting and Jotaro told him to be careful so he is - much to the chagrin of Jotaro, who is fucking cold now. But Kokoro might notice that Star isn't moving too far from Jotaro, and he always moves closer when he can, after retaliating.

Like now, two more, coming her way]

Ne, ne. It's OK to get a little far--

[Kokoro ducks down to avoid the snowballs,] --ther from Kujo-san. We don't want to get him wet.

[Star moves as far as he can from Jotaro, then gestures to him and shrugs]

He can't get further than that.

[shutter_hime]

Huh? Why not?

[Kokoro wrinkled her brow, confused. Star Platinum looked like he could move really fast, but did that mean he was stuck? Maybe she didn't understand that right.]

That's his range - my range. He's powerful, but he's limited in how far he can move away from me.

There's other Stands who can do it - but with Star, this is as far as he can go.

That's only about... what? Six meters? Not very far.

[She turned her attention back to Star and offered him a smile.]

Sorry to hear it, Star.

[Kokoro pauses and turns her attention back to Jotaro,]

You said it was your range? Do you just like keeping things close to the vest, then?
