Wet and Wild↲ OOC Plotting
Minimize
As the days go on, the refugees are sure to notice that following Tanabata, the weather has been unusually awful. While there are have been some sun breaks here and there, for the most part, it's rained every single day. Rumors have circulated that the cause could be related the failed symbolic meeting of the two emperors, though few have put much stock into that idea. And yet despite the weather, the residents all seem very happy about it. Why? Because last year, it hardly rained at all. The stark difference serves as a pleasant reminder that time truly is moving forward.
But that's not the only reminder. Over in the Itabashi Ward of Tokyo, a certain project has been underway for a very, very long time. And now that time is finally moving, Itabashi Gardens is finally open.
Boasting a massive indoor complex, it's one of the largest buildings in Tokyo, housing a vast botanical garden, aquarium, and water park. Those looking for a break from the rain are encouraged to come by and spend a day or even a week there.
Wild Waves

Given the miserable weather outside, the first stop for many guests will be the water park. While the area will be a little overrun with children, the park is open to all ages, and includes a number of activities and pools for guests to use. Large water wheels can be seen pumping water through bronze-colored pipes, and a rainy midday sky can be seen though the steel and glass roof covering the complex.
But some may take notice of the large number of "swim at your own risk" signs. It turns out that Itabashi is among the first water parks in Nippon, and there aren't too many safety standards yet. They have lifeguards at least?
Totally Tubular Itabashi, Tokyo
Everyone who walks in will be immediately met by the sight of dozens of bronze tubes and slides encircling a number of pools. These water slides come in a variety of speeds, with one even requiring that riders must ride two at a time, with the smaller rider in the larger rider's lap, or else risk being shot out and hitting the glass wall on the other side of the landing pool. You know, safety first.
While most of these slides are simple enough, one boasts two loops, in which about 80% of riders get stuck. Hopefully you at least make it to the top of one of the loops, as there's no easy way out otherwise. They even have a name for those poor souls who get stuck in the middle of the two loops -- purgatory. This slide is closed after a few days, and no one really questions why.
But the most fun (and also safest) are the larger tubes intended for pool inner tubes. Riders can ride alone or share a double ring, with the most popular slide being designed to look like a trip down a series of waterfalls. At the end of each fall is a small pool area, containing mini whirlpools to get riders stuck spinning in circles. Of course, the best part of this slide is that in order to move on, you frequently need to kick other riders down the waterfall to keep things moving. Just watch the face, yeah?
Have Fun Don't Drown Itabashi, Tokyo
One of Itabashi Gardens' biggest selling points is their lazy river attraction. A narrow river circles and weaves in between other pools and under footbridges, lined with tall plants to give the illusion of privacy as swimmers float or ride atop an inner tube along the easygoing current of the water.
Along the way, swimmers can push their friends into "trap" sections, such as through a cave filled with waterfalls that drops buckets of heavy water on their head, or a slide that leads down into an isolated pool with a small bar, where swimmers can sit in the water and enjoy alcoholic beverages. Drinks must be finished before walking back out to the main river again, but there's more than enough space to swim and float around by the bar. Alternatively, the bar exclusive hot tubs are located just outside another exit, where additional drinks can be delivered while you relax in the hot and bubbling water.
And of course, what water park isn't complete without a wave pool! Rather than use machinery for this, instead the lifeguards themselves have been trained in Mizu magic, allowing them to manually control the rise and fall of the waves. This results in a much more personalized experience, with some swimmers taking to goading the lifeguards into giving them bigger and bigger waves.
Just... don't piss them off. They're professionals who've studied for years to be able to do this, and insulting them will encourage them to bend the water around the offender, causing them to fall onto the dry pool floor. The water will constantly bend away from them no matter how fast they try to dive back into it. While not fun to experience, it's certainly hilarious to watch happen to someone else.
With The Fishes

The aquarium is perhaps the greatest showing of Tokyo's technological advancements over other cities, with vast tanks containing any number of fish and other sea creatures. Guests can spend hours looking into the tanks and appreciating this rare look at Gaia's unique wildlife.
And for an additional fee, guests can even stay overnight in one of a number of rooms sharing a wall with the largest tank in the complex. A little pricey, but not an experience one would want to miss! Just keep in mind that with the lights off, it's not too hard to see across the tank and into another bedroom.
Jaws Itabashi, Tokyo
By far, the greatest appeal of the aquarium is the different ways one can experience the sights, as in addition to the winding paths outside the tanks, there are also guided tours inside, using magi-tech breathing apparatuses to allow for breathing underwater. These devices have a half-hour time limit before they need to be refilled at the surface, but those proficient in Mizu magic will find they can stay underwater just fine for well over an hour.
Guests will be warned not to stray from the group for their own safety. But those who do may find themselves in areas they're clearly not meant to be, with one such area including a large shark tank. For the most part, the sharks won't bother anyone. They're not the thing to worry about. Unbeknownst to the staff, a kagewani was accidentally captured when gathering specimens for the aquarium. Known as the shadow-shark ayakashi, it appears only as a flat dark shadow with no physical body, and should your own shadow cross in front of it, it'll attack and simulate the very same pain as if one were being legitimately bitten by a shark, even from very far away.
Immediate treatment will alleviate the pain, but waiting too long will allow the curse to settle into their bones, resulting in a deeper pain that lasts for over a week. Alternatively, killing the kagewani will undo the curse immediately. How do you kill a shadow? While stabbing it may cause it to run away, forcing it to the surface is the only guaranteed way of killing it, as this will expose its entire body to light.
The Shape of Sexy Water Itabashi, Tokyo
Over in another section of the aquarium, guests will be given an out-of-water tour by one of Itabashi's most famous residents: a Kappa Yokai named Kawataro, who chooses to live among humans. As most Kappa rarely stray from their homeland, let alone from the water, it's a unique opportunity to learn about the freshwater wildlife of Nippon.
But that's not really why people go. They go because Kawataro ripped all to hell and is a rather infamous flirt, spending much of the tour showering compliments on men and women alike who catch his eye. Can Yokai develop human fetishes? This surely toes the line.
At the end of the tour, two lucky guests may be offered the opportunity to explore his own private quarters, comprised of a large tank, and a number of winding passageways that connect every freshwater tank in the Aquarium. They'll be given a magi-tech breathing apparatus, and offered a swim suit and flippers to better assist in swimming through the narrow tunnels around the aquarium. Speaking will be a bit difficult, but who needs words, really?
And for those who seem receptive to the idea, he'll lead them to his private tank, where sunlight glitters far up above, and all sorts of tropical fish can be found swimming around. And here, he'll be making a move to suggest an underwater threesome. How long do you think the staff here will tolerate this...? Not like they can fire him. But are you really going to pass up this opportunity to feel the shape of water?
The Greenhouse Effect

One of the most intriguing points of interest is the Botanical Garden. In addition to beautiful local plants, the garden boasts many exotic plants, including those previously thought to be impossible to raise in captivity. Those who experienced the forests in Chubu back in March might just find a few that are familiar to them.
Butterflies can be seen fluttering around, and while the inside of the garden is very warm, those sensitive to heat can borrow a cooling poncho with a magi-tech powered cooling device fixed inside of it.
Stupid Sexy Plants Itabashi, Tokyo
Among the most popular is the False Silver Dragon Grass, a rare plant with properties that both neutralize other toxic plants, while also taking on those impurities and magnifying them within its blossoms. Very few can claim to have ever seen them for how difficult they are to grow. And for five lucky winners each day, they'll be allowed to go home with a single blossom that's been harvested from the plant's flowery stem, containing an extremely potent version of the comfort leaf's aphrodisiac effects. Of course, the blossom on its own is harmless. But should anyone get curious enough to dry and crush it into a powder for tea, the resulting drug is so strong, even just a pinch is enough to drive anyone horny out of their mind.
However, those looking for something a bit more dangerous should make their way over to the Nuruname Blooms. Carefully guarded by a well-trained samurai during the day, these plants are known for using their long, slimy buds to inject seeds into living creatures in order to incubate them. The samurai is there for your protection, not the plant's!
But the Gardens can't afford to pay a samurai to be there 24/7, and at certain times of the day, the nuruname is simply guarded by a strongly worded sign not to get too close. And while that may be a sufficient warning for visitors, it's not enough to stop the nuruname from hurling its vines across the barrier to try and drag some poor soul into its grasp. Looks like it grew a little faster than expected. The slime it produces is also a powerful aphrodisiac, but try not to have too much fun out there.
Spooky Scary Itabashi, Tokyo
Plants aren't the only thing on display in the Botanical Garden. Isolated from the rest of the complex is a series of rooms housing plant-like ayakashi. Before entering these rooms, guests must be purified by a brief prayer given by a local monk, and affixed with a thin paper talisman on their forehead. Removing it will prevent them from being allowed to leave the area until they've walked back to the front and received a new one, in order to prevent any ayakashi curses from spreading.
After all, the very first enclosure houses an entire field of higanbana. As these flowers only grow in places where people have died, it begs the question of exactly how they got them here in the first place. However, there's a rather interesting trick at play here. The higanbana is only visible to those who have witnessed a person die. Those who haven't won't see them at all. Instead, they'll see the vast graveyard filled with stone markers hidden below the flowers, with an otherwise hidden plaque reading: "Dedicated to those who didn't survive to see the end of the time loop, and pledged their final year to the research of this facility. May their souls rest in peace." A bit grim, but a unique memorial all the same. But should there really be so many...?
Many of the next exhibits aren't too exciting. A Venus flytrap type ayakashi that gnaws on anything unlucky enough to sit next to it, a grass-like ayakashi that turns the ground acidic enough to melt metal, a distressingly stinky flower that manifests temporary synesthesia in anyone who stares at it for too long... okay, the tree that grows fruit that resembles laughing human heads is pretty wild.
But at the end of the exhibit lies an enclosure labeled "Unknown". Inside sits a singular boulder and nothing else. But the moment one turns away from it, they'll hear the sound of a woman crying and wailing for help in the distance. And yet, the source sounds as if coming from the stone itself. Attempting to listen to what the stone is saying won't bring any clarity, but it will cause the listener to begin crying profusely, overwhelmed by a feeling they won't be able to explain. Those who are affected are encouraged to leave as soon as possible, as the full effects of this ayakashi's curse are not known. What is known is that those who cry when listening to the screams of the yonaki-ishi will become more prone to crying whenever they become upset in the future. How long this effect lingers is also unknown.
OOC Notes
Welcome to Jikan's July event! Please direct any questions to the Question Thread in the OOC Plotting post.
• The slides can be as dangerous as you want them to be, but no fatalities, please! They have a reputation to keep up.
• Visitors are not allowed to retaliate against the lifeguards. Doing so will result in being removed from Itabashi Gardens all together. Splashing back doesn't count as retaliation.
• Feel free to get creative with what underwater wildlife exists in the aquarium! Siren jellies can be found swimming throughout, for example, but you're not limited to what exists on the Flora and Fauna page. However, due to their dangerous nature, any aquatic ayakashi such as Fukugyo will be kept in sealed tanks with no swimming access.
• If you are unsure whether your character would be able to afford basic amusement park entrance fees, you can assume someone at the NRL bought them a ticket!

Shell Overlord | Blood Bank
[Shell's never even heard of water parks before, and is practically overwhelmed at just how much there is to do and see. While it still feels a little warm inside, the fact that it's cloudy and rainy past the glass ceiling means he doesn't have to worry about sunburns.]
[He decides right away that he wants to try all the water slides, though... wisely avoids the one with the loops. Instead, he moves to the one with the waterfalls, tube in hand as he smiles at someone getting in at the same time.]
This one is pretty different from the others, isn't it? It's like a pool and slide all in one!
2 | Lazy Lounging
[The lazy river quickly becomes Shell's favorite area, the water not deep enough to risk drowning, and with a nice current to keep things moving. With all the plants lining the river, it feels like he's actually outside, drifting down a river without a care in the world.]
[But curiosity has him checking out some of the forks in the road, including the bar area. Which eventually leads him to the hot tubs and... dear god. How do people enjoy that??]
...I'd die if I went in there, so I think I'll pass.
3 | Fish Nerd
[While the water park was impressive, the aquairum is unlike anything he's ever seen. Is there really this much life out in the water? He almost finds it hard to keep moving, stopping to stare at each tank with an almost childlike expression of wonder.]
They're so colorful! How can there be so many different colors? Oh, look at that one--!!
[He's practically sparkling as he watches them swim around... no, literally sparkling. Is he bonding with the fish?? Apparently.]
4 | Plant Nerd
[You'd think he'd stop being impressed, but the botanical garden is more beautiful than he could have dreamed. Countless flowers and greenery of all shapes and sizes. He hardly knows where to look first, seemingly making it his mission to smell every single flower.]
[But the heat difference in the garden area of the Garden is subsstantial. He's sweating buckets at this point, which is going to cause a rather odd effect. As a vampire, Shell's natural scent is that of his pheromones, which smell distinctly like roses. And with how much he's sweating, the smell is pretty strong.]
[Which means, when Shell finally decides to sit and rest for a few minutes and wipe the sweat off his forehead, it only takes about a minute before he's being swarmed by butterflies.]
...I-I think they like me?
5 | 2spoopy
Are those... flowers? Something about them looks strange.
[Shell looks down into the enclosure with the Higanbana. There's obviously something supernatural afoot, for them to need these talisman's attached to their foreheads to enter. It feels a little silly but he'd rather look silly than risk being cursed.]
It looks like they're growing on top of something, but it's too hard to see...
[If both of them can see the flowers, another visitor will come up and ask what flowers they're talking about. If only Shell can see them, a worker nearby will be there to explain the phenomenon.]
6 | Wildcard
[Feel free to combine prompts or have one prompt lead into another! or just hit me with whatever or plot with me over here! Shell can also be found enjoying the wave pool, napping while laid out on a towel, passing out from heat exhaustion, and getting too close to the nuruname.]
Plant Nerd
[But much like the butterflies, Glenn finds himself drawn to that scent. It's familiar and comforting, and he has to bite back a purr. Because of the heat, he's only wearing one of those kimonos with a hakama, and it's left his very scarred forearms, hands, and upper chest bared.]
You smell like their food. Butterflies use a proboscis - their tube-like tongue - to drink nectar from flowers. When it's not in use, they just curl it back up like a rope.
So, yes, in a way, they like you.
[As Glenn himself also gives off his own pheromones, some of the butterflies flutter over to him in turn, one boldly perching on a cowlick that looks more like it's made of a flexible feather than actual hair. The scent that curls from him is distinctly sweet and inviting. And though his face doesn't seem like it's used to smiling of late, a faint smile is there all the same.]

That blue feline tail of his floats atop the water like a snake, swishing back and form with a lazy slowness while the front half of him sort of just chills against the edge of the pool like a puppet with cut strings. Dazai Osamu | Bungou to Alchemist
[Don't question where Dazai got this kappa inner tube that matches the one he has at home. Kappa don't even look like this here but it's fine? It's fine.
He floats down the river serenely, idly waving at the people he bumps into.]
This is pretty relaxing, huh.
[Higanbana]
[It's not a surprise to be able to see them, even assuming witnessing your own death doesn't count. But...]
That's a lot of deaths in one place for no obvious reason?
[...Like. What happened here.]
[Underwater Hotel Room: closed to Mafia House, tw: drowning discussion]
[It makes sense to get a suite together, and it makes sense to try out this place's unique offers while they're here. Dazai knows ahead of time that they're getting an underwater room and doesn't have any complaints then.
So then, why is he curled up in a ball on his bed and shivering, eyes tightly shut?
He's fine, he's fine, he's not back there in that canal, he can breathe, he's fine...]

Lazy River but it's silly
[She sees him in the lazy river and, while she could just wait for him to eventually come out, decides to hop in a tube and try to sneak up on him. And when she finally catches him in a stretch where he's floating by himself, she makes her move, propelling her tube forward to catch up to his.]

[ If you're considering the water slides, you'll probably notice him there considering them too - the bird's nest of red hair is hard to miss, after all. It's hard not to notice the way he looks over before he jerks his head in the direction of one of the two-seaters with a wide grin on his face, one hand held out in invitation. He's about six foot even, so ]
Wanna pair up? Don't worry, it's probably not as dangerous as it looks. Even if it is, that's all part of the fun, isn't it?
2 - Have Fun Don't Drown
[ He's not going to float down the river in a tube, but he is going to be sitting with his legs in the water, sipping at a drink and watching the goings-on of the people around him. He may, at some point, be accosted by a kid or two or three that seem to be familiar with him, and it isn't long until the air is filled with small, translucent animals - starfish and narwhals and dolphins and octopi - that weave and bob around the delighted kids to keep them from harassing the adults in the bar. ]
3 - Guns Blazing
[ For whatever unfortunate reason there's a vendor going around handing out water guns. The consequences of this action are rather obvious; there's a bunch of people running around shooting at each other, kids and teens and adults alike, slipping and sliding on the floor as water squirts out in random directions.
Maybe you're able to keep from getting in the crossfire, or maybe you'd like to get in on the action yourself - either way, when you turn around there's going to be a stream of water blasting directly into your face, and though he should be apologizing for spraying random strangers in the face - yeah, no, Childe doesn't look sorry at all. ]
You should maybe work on your dodging.
[ Do you surrender, or take it as a declaration of war? ]
4 - With the Fishes
[ He doesn't think he's seen these many colors before, not even when he was in Snezhnaya. He's not quite pressed up against the glass, but he's close - his fingers trace the path of a particularly colorful fish as it sways to and fro, blue eyes reflecting the light as well as they can. Which is to say, not at all. It's perhaps a little eerie, but the expression on his face is wondrous all the same.
They probably wouldn't be very filling, but they're nice to look at, at least. ]

2! To give you variety <3
[As the chatter of children draws closer to his ear, he blinks more awake and sits up, frowning sleepily at the sight of watery creatures entertaining the children. Curious, he makes a point to drift to this side of the rest area, not touching any of the drinks. His colorless stare peers at Childe, not recognizing him at all, and then looks to the little creatures. They're cute, but he doesn't hear any life signs from their small bodies (though the gathering of people here makes quite the cacophony of breaths and heartbeats.)]
Cute magic, if that's what those creatures are. Yours?
[He looks pointedly at Childe again, innertube looped around his legs as he sits on the bank. Clad in only a pair of shorts, his immensely scarred body is on full display - and with it, what power it holds in musculature alone. A bit of sweat clings to his neck and face and mats some of his hair to his cheeks and nape, but pretty much nowhere else that's visible.
[But Glenn's hair looks like it's animal fur mixed with feathers - a peculiar cowlick twitching a bit upward despite the water still clinging to its long end. There's also a sweet scent coming off of him - not quite like sweets, but having a very, very delicate pull to it.
[But his facial expression is bland at best, only tell is that he tilts his head with his question. Curious, but distant.]

Kuro | Servamp
[Little known fact: Vampires can't deal with wave pools. Kuro would sink like a rock if he set foot in one, unfortunately.
It's fine with him, though. Just floating around in an inner tube is precisely Kuro's speed, and the 'lazy' part of the Lazy River Attraction is perfect for him. He's happy to half-doze in the water as he floats with the current, letting it take him along for the ride.
Maybe a little too much dozing, though. He isn't paying nearly enough attention to where he's floating, and it would be easy to send him into some of those trap sections, or down one of those waterfalls.]
Hot tub and chill
[He can't exactly complain about that slide detour though, especially when he manages to locate the hot tubs this way. He's quick to abandon his inner tub for a bit to sink into the heated pools, sighing in contentment.
They even deliver drinks. It's a wonderfully decadant experience and while Kuro doesn't usually imbibe, it's a nice enough day for it. So he can be found spending entirely too much time in the hot tub, practically dozing against the side of the pool while occasionally sipping something neon colored and sweet smelling, feline tail lazily swishing in the water behind him.]
Fishbowl experience
[Because Kuro has a very bizarre sense of humor, he can occasionally be found wandering the aquariums... in either form. He's maybe a little curious to see how the exotic fish react to a cat, but also the aquariums are just nice to look at. People can feel free to question the presence of a small black cat pawing at the glass like it's trying to poke at the fish beyond, or scoop him up and try to get him to behave.
And when he's in human form, he's just taking in the sights. All the colorful fish and soothing waterscapes make it yet another nice way to unwind, for Kuro.
At least until he sees the siren jelly. Is he... blushing? He sure is.]
Greenhouse effect
[The Botanical Garden is nice, too. Kuro likes the warmth, and the flowers smell wonderful.
It's enough for Kuro to decide he wants to take (yet another) nap. It's probably not considered polite, but that isn't going to stop him from finding a patch of soft grass or flowers to snooze in, in cat or humanoid form.
...The latter of which might disturb some people, after the higanbana. Why is there a person laying so still in a patch of flowers? At least it's an adorably picturesque view when he's in feline form.]
Wildcard
[Open to pretty much everything! Feel free to hit up my plotting comment here.]
hot tub
When he expressed this to someone, though, he got in return: "Why do you need one? There's nothing to see."
So here he is, pelvis bone out in front of god and everyone, though mercifully it's soon obscured by the water as he slips into the hot tub.]

Fish
[Higuchi herself is on the small and petite side, which means she can hardly see over the top of this guy. But she can slide in front of him. Sorta. There's some awkward crowding going on right now, sorry-- but as she steals a glance into the tank, she frowns.]
So it's not over here, either... say, you've been here for a while, right? Have you seen a really big fish swim by at all? I keep seeing its shadow, but it must be pretty fast, since I can never catch its body.

Higuchi Ichiyo | Bungo Sungo Dungo
[It feels like a nightmare when Higuchi suddenly finds herself returned to that horrible time loop. But it only lasts a single loop, before the door appears once more, and she lunges for it to escape her fate. Despite only a few seconds passing, it seems much more time has passed in Nippon -- a few months, in fact. And while the scientists offer to contact her friends for her, she decides it would be more impactful if she went to reveal herself in person.]
[But then she arrives at their shared home to find that everyone is out and apparently... at a water park?? So, after a bit of effort to break back into their home to find some of her old things, she makes her way there... i-incognito. Because it would ruin the surprise if they caught her first!!]
[Anyway, all this is to say that a suspicious woman with sunglasses on is skulking around the park. Call her out?? But if she's looking for you, she'll find you first.]
2 | Speed Slide Madness
[Some emotional reunions later, Higuchi decides it's vacation time, starting with some waterslides. She goes right for the dangerous ones that don't require tubes, and seems to be regretting it as everyone in line watches as someone is fired out the slide and is launched over the safety pool and into a crowd of onlookers.]
You think we should get out of line? Maybe they were just... too light?
[But for those brave enough to stick around: the lifeguard at the top says they need to ride together, with the smaller of the two in the other's lap (and at 5'3, that may very well be Higuchi). This wouldn't be an issue, except this is the double loop slide.]
...we're not going to get stuck in the middle, are we?
[Signs point to yes.]
3 | Nippon's Water Level
[Higuchi isn't sure what's better, getting to swim through an aquarium, or getting to do so while breathing underwater?? They just need to surface every so often to refill, so is there really a need to stick with the tour? While swimming through a large tank filled with tropical fish, Higuchi notices a small tunnel that seems to lead downward.]
Hey! Where do you think that path leads? Wanna go take a peek?
[Will this be a fun time or a disaster? You choose!]
4 | Spoopy Plants
[Higuchi can be found looking at all the plants, be it frowning at the sheer number of higanbana, accidentally getting gnawed on by a giant venus flytrap, or staring in abject horror as one of the human head fruits appears to grin at her before falling to the ground.]
[But it's the yonaki ishi that really gets to her, at this point just looking a bit Done with it all. Why is this world so weird.]
I'm sorry, is that rock screaming? Really!?
5 | Wildcard
[Higuchi can also be found: getting drunk in the hot tubs, watching the fish from one of the aquarium hotel rooms, saving someone from the nuruname, or just relaxing in the lazy river.]

He had spent time practicing Tsuchi magic in his spare time, and again once he'd been healed after that awful kidnapping ordeal.
Akutagawa sighed and looked to the water 'slides' with a small frown, followed with a sigh before he turned on his heel to head elsewhere. If he was stuck here, there had to be something he could do that did not entail being around children, right? ]

terror in the tide pool: lazy river edition
The rainbow unicorn stands out like a sore (English) thumb and he nearly slips through the hole in his tube sitting up a bit to get a better look. His face lights up like a spoiled child on Christmas morn' when he realizes who it is piloting the tube and he snorts to himself before slipping into full stealth mode. The Englishman looks ridiculous in that thing, trying to furiously paddle to the bar. Typical.
Could it be the former pirate's lack of finesse with swimming that has his doggy-paddle equally abysmal that led to him getting caught? Probably. France shoots out a leg, smoothly hooking the oversized tube with a foot, laughing brightly at any murderous look he potentially receives.
Although he might... just be trying to lure England away from the bar. Will it work? Care to add to France's bruised shins, sir? ]
Might I ask where you think you're going at the crack of noon?
[ No no, he's not attempting to tow England toward the trap that sounds like there's a great deal of rushing water. It's just waterfalls, not that he knows that yet.
As if he's going to let the other nation actually drown... this time.](no subject)

Zhongli | Genshin Impact
[Zhongli isn't the type of man to horse around in the pool or on slides, unfortunately. Instead he's often found sitting in a nice spot poolside where he can dip his feet into the water, a book in hand and looking terribly content.
Between that and the printed button up he's wearing, the 'middle aged auntie' vibe is pretty strong, unfortunately. The fact that he's indoors only just saves him from accidentally completing the image with a straw hat.
Maybe someone will shove him into the pool, he probably needs it.]
Oh no no no no no
[So the underwater tour had actually managed to catch Zhongli's interest. It was a new and novel way to experience the sights, and while he has a few reservations, he doesn't hesitate to sign himself up.
It's... odd, being so far underwater. He is a creature of earth and stone, but that only makes the sights from within the aquarium all the more fascinating for him. He even dares to explore some of the deeper tunnels that don't appear to be part of the tour itself, but when he tries to exit one--
Thick. Slimy. Clingy. Something is curling around his leg and as he looks back with a growing sense of unease, he stares in horror.
The creature might be translucent, but he knows that disgusting sensation of tentacles clinging to his skin far, far too well. He kicks out, flailing in it's hold.
Help him out? He probably needs it.
That, or find him a few minutes later trying to drag himself out of the aquarium, making a disgusted face. Is... It is still clinging to his leg? Yes, apparently.]
Greenhouse effect
[The Botanical Garden is far more pleasant an experience, so far. Zhongli has always been fond of flowers and plants, and he spend a great deal of time merely wandering through the greenery, examining each flower he comes across with quiet fascination.
He's... he's reading every single sign he comes across, actually. He quietly marvels at the stated properties of each plant, and some might find it a little inappropriate how honored he seems when he's offered a flower from the silver dragon grass.]
How fascinating... That you've managed to cultivate a plant like this to such an extent is truly a feat of ingenuity and diligence.
[He's... he's gushing over an aphrodisiac, though...?]
Spooky scary
[For how stoic and sedate Zhongli is, probably few people would expect him to be able to see the Higanbana. But even before working at a funeral parlor he had seen a great deal of death over the millennia. Even then, the flowers themselves are familiar in shape and color to ones he knows of.
He spend a moment of silence there among the higanbana before moving on, hoping that the souls of those who have been honored here have found peace somehow.
It's the 'unknown' enclosure that gives him greater pause however. It's only a singular boulder, not even an artfully arranged rock garden, but he's drawn to it nonetheless. He stares at it long and hard as if trying to figure out it's placement here, but ultimately has to give up after a few moments.
When he turns his back, that's when the wailing starts. He startles, glancing around for the source, but it seems to be coming from the rock itself.]
What happened to you...?
[Is he talking to the rock? Apparently!
It's probably unwise to touch the boulder, but Zhongli's never been particularly wise when it comes to seemingly sentient rocks. One second he is listening carefully and in the next his eyes are aching harshly, his throat too tight, something overwhelming building in his chest, soon spilling outward in the form of tears.]
I...
[Oh.
And now that it's started he can't seem to stop it, vision blurring with tears in a way that feels almost foreign. When was the last time he'd cried?]

Lewin "Lightning" Light | Blue Exorcist
[There's a man here who's very excited about ayakashi. He's fairly average looking, dressed in a rumpled yukata and workboots, with his bangs falling down in his eyes.]
Oh wow! Look at that!
[Is he studying the higanbana, crouching down to try and see underneath the burst of red blooms? Watching the venus flytrap thing chew on a mouse? Examining the human heads tree?
Whatever he's doing, he's absolutely getting way too close to things. And.... where's his paper talisman?]
sexy plants
[A sign? That's basically an invitation. Lewin doesn't even get dragged over the barrier, he climbs right in with the nuruname just out of curiosity.
At least he looks like he's having fun, as he studies the different buds and vines very very closely.]

Nephelea Autumnsong | World of Warcraft
[So, Nephelea made a mistake; she hadn't seen the sign because the flowers looked so silly she had to see them closer. A mistake, because now she was struggling against the vines and losing the battle. But she heard someone coming closer!
Maybe they would help!]
Ah! Excuse me! O-ooh, please! Could you - ah~ help me?
Lazy River
[ It's not all bad, really, enjoying her little float down the lazy river. Nephelea has pulled all of her very long hair into a high bun on her head and her makes several swimmers do a doubletake as she floats along.
Don't worry, concerned parents! It's a one piece!
a. You've caught Nephelea at the bar, sipping a lovely, fruity little sake lemon drop. It is some what tart, though, and she makes a face.]
Could you taste this for me? I don't know how I feel about it. I'd love a second opinion.
[b. Alternatively, maybe a little bit of a warm up will make the cold water feel even better. Nephelea orders a little bit of icy cold sake and pats the space next to her.]
Oh, don't worry, dearest. I don't bite. Drinking alone is a bit sad, don't you think? Come keep me company.

hypnos | hades
[ The lazy river speaks to him on a deep, personal level. He can simply settle into a tube in the red swim trunks, a pair of sunglasses, and the eye mask on top of his head, just in case he wants it for later or on the trip. For now, he's managed to avoid the traps with brief moments of alertness, using any opportunity to take advantage of his long body to push him away from obstacles.
It's not like he is making a point to stay hidden or out of the way, either. He opts against getting a drink.
He doesn't need any drinks today. ]
I think I may do this a dozen times.
ii. a day at the aquarium
[ Hypnos takes to the aquarium. He likes the entire experience and the idea of it. And while he briefly considered staying overnight, he decided against it in the end. But, that wasn't going to stop him from taking naps or idly falling asleep while passing through the place. He too a slow pace to navigate and observe the fish swimming around him.
He will have fallen asleep in various locations in the aquarium, with little to no regard for the environment or other visitors. He might feel bad about it if he's woken up. He'll likely be floating somewhere nearby - seemingly having fallen asleep while watching the fish too intently.
Or, he will have found a seat in places and taken one to sleep for himself without hesitation.
He looks so peaceful - maybe join him for a nap instead of waking him? ]
Wildcard + Note
[ you know what a wildcard is ;) Hypnos will, honestly, have fallen asleep just about anywhere throughout the event, so if your character just wants to find him asleep, it could be most places. ]
ii!!
She didn't see that he was on the seat already, and accidentally sat on him.]

venti | genshin impact
a. suddenly, water
[ Venti has dressed for the weather. He's careful to also add an overly large sunhat and a pair of sunglasses, just in case. At least the headache seems to be mild. He's not paying too much attention as he gets in the tube carefully, letting himself drifting down the water.
He may even briefly fall asleep as he does. He's an easy target for knocking into a waterfall or any other traps that may happen upon the way. The moment he's knocked into a waterfall, intentional or not, he startles awake and blinks awake. ]
Surprise!
b. there's no hangover if you're always drunk
[ Venti can be found at either bar while he's here. He's already accidentally flipped out of the tube, and gotten soaked under a waterfall. So a bar sounds like the perfect break. For the first, he takes a trip down the slide and immediately encourages the tube by paddling the water, to take a trip towards the bar immediately. He'll remain his tube for duration of his time at this first stop. He only has a couple of drinks while here, but he hears about another bar with a hot tub, which sounds just his speed. Finishing his drink, he makes his way there.
At the hot tub bar, he orders himself a drink and as soon as he has it on hand, he slides into the hot tub, getting comfortable nearly immediately.
Regardless as to where he's found, he'll say to someone hanging nearby: ]
They sure know how to treat a guy here.
ii. just keep swimming
[ If they're going to let him just get in the water and check out the tanks from the inside instead, Venti is going to take up the offer. He takes to the device, and the underwater experience quite easily. In all of his years, he's never witnessed anything like this. It's not that he's never seen fish before, of course, but he's never seen the variety, the extent of the deep water creatures - quite like this. It's so up close and personal.
When that thirty minute mark approaches, he makes his way to the surface. Despite his impulses that tell him to go do his own thing, he's being well behaved and not straying too far. ]
I wonder what they all eat~
[ If someone had mentioned it earlier on, he didn't catch it. ]
Wildcard + Note
[ You know what this is! Feel free to assume Venti's either drinking or just checking things out! ]
ib.
Water parks are meant to be a lot of fun, she's assuming. But without Lance or Hunk around to enjoy it with, she's mostly irritated. She'd even take Keith or Shiro at this point, but she hasn't seen the former in a good while and she's not even sure the latter is here.
Her bathing suit is cute enough, though not necessarily something she'd ever choose for herself. There weren't a lot of options, though, and this one is probably the best she's going to get for now.
The sudden appearance of someone she doesn't recognize is jarring enough to get her attention, and she turns her head to get a good look.]
