[Sometimes, Kazuha just liked to climb someplace high up and admire the scenery. Sometimes it could inspire poetry, but other times it just helped calm his heart and put his mind at ease. He's needed it in the past year more than ever, and now he has a new conflict in his height to consider from the rooftops.
He's grown to really love Kyoto. Kyoto is still different than Narukami— autumn still finds it, things change, unlike the Eternity of Inazuma. As autumn is in full swing and the trees have been raining their red leaves for weeks now, the sight makes him more homesick, more lonely, mired in saudade.
Kazuha tucks one leg under the other, comfortable on the tiles of the high roof, out of sight of windows. Up here the birds are his only companions, and as he eats a bag of nuts and seeds, sometimes he picks out some of the best seeds— big sunflower seeds —and shells it for any bird that might be brave enough to approach.]
