Pirate Ninjas Tho?!

[ To put it simply? He was annoyed to an extent that he'd been pulled from his home in such a way after what that boy did. Domi was still there too, on the top of that Ferris Wheel and he'd almost charged back to go back after her but his body was still sluggish.

Just how many 'loops' had that even been?

By the fifth loop he'd managed to not allow himself close enough to have the book affect him, and that's when the door had appeared. Instinct told him he should take it and so he did, and then the information overload had almost been too much. Noé had to take a walk around to try and get acquainted with things, satisfied enough in the knowledge that time wouldn't pass yet and so Domi wasn't in any more danger for the time being.

What mattered now was that he'd almost kept getting lost in every little thing that caught his eye.

At least until he heard something about a free stay somewhere and it'd gotten his attention, and was why he found himself on one of the cable cars heading to this place. So anyone else present will be definitely privy to this nineteen-year old pressing his cheek to one of the windows' glass as he looks outside. ]

So amazing...! I've never seen anything quite like this before!



Spring of Truth | Enchanted Bathwater

[ Eventually or rather inevitably he did find himself happily checking out the hot springs and with a look of amazement Noé had settled in the Monkey Spring, settling in deeply into the water with a peaceful look of contentment on his face. They didn't have anything like this in Paris, or even in Altus as far as he's ever known so this was fascinating.

It was like a hot bath but natural?

Just when he felt like he could fall asleep here, movement caught his attention and he realized that one of the little monkeys was sneaking off with his towel. He blinked a couple of times before trying to swipe at it, almost falling out of the spring itself and realizing now that someone was on their way to coming in.

So he froze up before sinking right back into the water. ]

Ah... My apologies. I hadn't meant to be indecent...

[ That's his priority.. not entirely the now lacking towel.. but now he did have a problem now that this was a reality. ]



Unlimited Thirst Works

[ Okay so he'd missed exactly why people around here had all these pink bands on them, and there was an unusual scent in the air he couldn't figure out whatsoever. This place was amazing, but also so strange in the way that it didn't seem to run on formulas or anything.

Noé at least had managed to secure one of the simple white yukatas to walk around in, and it was in passing one of the rooms that his sensitive hearing picked up on some VERY lewd sounds and that made his cheeks flush red, a nice shade atop of his tanned skin. He turned quickly on his heel and rounded the next corner, but immediately ended up running into someone.

They didn't look well. Like they were sick.

He brought his hands up to their shoulders to steady them, a look of concern written all over his face. ]

Are you alright? Is there any way I could help?

[ Really. He had no idea what he was getting himself into. ]

[The modest man will notice the monkey sneaking off with his towel is now the proud owner of two towels. It stands there on the rock, ooking and eeking as if laughing, mocking the poor guy.]

So he got you, too, huh?

[Koro appears, stretching his neck as if he just completed an exercise. The tall, sculpted man is stark naked, and showing no shame in it either. The complete opposite of the one hiding himself in the spring.]

Been trying to catch this little jerk for a hot minute now.

[ The pain of coming from the time period Noé came from had a huge hand in things such as modesty and the like, used to certain kinds of ways of going about matters. So he just figured he was being courteous to the other person, who... also apparently had lost their towel thanks to the mischievous monkey.

He was kind of at a loss because now the little monkey WAS cute but he was a thief? So much conflict there. ]

Ah... yes.

[ It wasn't as if he was ashamed of his own form or anything, wholly lacking scars and bearing toned muscles without anything too remotely bulky. Just... his decorum and manners making it a bit more difficult to just walk around so openly without clothing at all. ]

I didn't even know monkeys liked stealing people's things. Is that... common?

[ Noé please. What were his priorities even. ]

[Koro looks over for a moment, eyeing the stranger hiding in the water.

Oh, was he embarrassed? Heh. Cute.]

Think you can help me catch it? Probably not good for us to be walking around without towels.

[ Well at least they agreed on one thing there. It'd be too scandalous to walk around without their towels and at least right now... there was only the two of them so maybe it'd be fine if it was just to retrieve their towels. ]

Yeah. If... you can distract it, perhaps I may be able to catch it by surprise.

[ A soft exhale. This was fine. He rose to his feet, a bit of a serious look soon falling across his face. ]

Does that work for you?

Heh. No need to be tense. We're both men, right? Or are you shy?

[Koro stretches once more, perhaps to show off his body a little, but most importantly to prepare himself for a fun little "adventure".]

Question is...how does one distract a monkey?

I'm not quite sure shy is the right word... it's just not something i'm really used to. Public baths are not... common where I come from.

[ Even while being respectable of the other man, one couldn't deny he did keep himself in excellent shape and was fairly tall when in comparison to himself and he wasn't exactly short by any means. ]

Perhaps if you come at it from the front, it will focus it's attention on you and then I'll be able to move in to grab the towels.

[ Not the worst idea he's come up with. Really. Noé thinks it has a good chance of working out, honestly. ]

Spring of Truth (Nyuu)

[Oh dear... The outdoor baths are mixed, but--Nyuu also wanted to enjoy the fresh air while relaxing in the hot springs. The indoor baths were nice too, but there's just something about being able to look up into the sky while your body melts into the warm water. Plus they had hot spring monkeys!

Speak of the devil, there's one now, but it has a towel in its hand.]

Ah.

[Uh oh. Nyuu was warned about this, so she knows what it means. Some poor soul is without their towel. Thankfully, her vectors have a two meter reach and the transparent hand is able to snatch the towel back before the monkey can get out of its radius. The monkey makes a surprised squeal, gives Nyuu a begrudging look, and scampers away. Still holding the towel with her vector and keeping a respectable distance, Nyuu holds it out to the man already in the spring.]

Is this yours?

[Her own towel is wrapped securely around her body.]

[ooc: Since Noé's a vampire, he'd be capable of seeing her vectors.]

[ If he'd been on his own, Noé would probably have just gone out to get his towel back without much of a second thought. So when this young woman showed up as the monkey was leaving with his towel, he had frozen up and opted to stay in the water as it was the most considerate thing to do?

At least it allowed him to be able to watch how she'd snatched back the stolen item in question, violet eyes landing on the transparent hand that held his towel. No other person he'd ever seen had been able to do that, so it distracted him for a second until just nodding. ]

Oh! Yes! [ Noé held a hand out to take it if it was close enough, considering things and doing his best not to look at anything other than her face because it'd otherwise be impolite. ] Thank you, Mademoiselle.

[ He's really trying not to look at the transparent hand, but it's just weirdly fascinating to him. So. Time to do the next best thing. ]

How are you able to do that? If you don't mind me asking...

[Nyuu is also doing her best to keep her eyes from wandering below the man's collarbones, immediately dropping her gaze to her bare feet as he moves to take the towel from her vector, even though the movement isn't enough to reveal anything. She just didn't want to take the chance.

When she hears his question, however, that gets her to lift her gaze (but not before she makes sure it's safe to look first). His eyes are definitely following her vector.]

Oh? So you can see it? Not everyone can.

But to answer your question... [A small shrug of her shoulders.] To be honest, I just think about what I want it to do. It's like telekinesis.

[ In a way it's nice to see this young woman is just as concerned with being indecent as he is.

He'd settled back into the spring properly when he'd folded his towel and set it near him on the edge closest to him, blinking a bit at her question and then just nodding as if that were such an obvious answer to it. ]

How strange. Do you know why that is?

[ His natural curiosity can't help but show itself here, gaze trailing from her to the vector itself for a second until she'd mentioned how she made them work. So they were part of her, was at least what he could pick up on.. but not all of it. ]

Tele...kinesis??

[ Sorry, Nyuu. Noé was a sheltered country bumpkin from the 1900's so he's never really heard the term before now. ]

[She shakes her nod, eyes innocent and honest.]

Not really. Although, I've noticed that of the people who can see them in this place, they had a special ability of some sort, or were sensitive to what most would call "the unseen." It's strange, though, because even then, not everyone who has powers can see them. So I guess, in the end, it just depends on the individual?

[Lucy would know why their vectors are invisible to most, but she hasn't shared that knowledge with Nyuu. Not because it was something worth hiding, but because Lucy didn't think it was that big of a deal.

Some people could see them, others could not. Simple as that.]

Powers of the mind? Psychic? [Would those terms work better?] Basically, I can touch things and make them move without having to use my physical body. It's more mental power than physical.

[ That was incredibly fascinating to him, if he was completely honest. Though it did make sense as she said 'those with special abilities' of some kind, and considering vampires could see things like the formulas that made up the world back home? Being able to see something like this wasn't entirely so strange in itself. ]

It makes sense when you put it that way. I... can see things most people can't, after all.

[ So he didn't directly out himself as a vampire or anything, as he didn't know how other people in different worlds would take it. This was just one way of saying he wasn't like 'most' people to say the least. If she truly pressed it, he would elaborate, though.

For now? She was definitely much more interesting than himself, amazement showing on his face. ]

Ah! That's truly amazing! Have you always been able to do that??

Oh? Like what?

[At his amazement, she grows bashful, ducking her head a little and twirling some hair around her index finger]

No, I only learned how to use them a couple of months ago. Lucy said she could do it since she was ten, though.

[She'll get to elaborating on who Lucy is in a moment, but first, time to get back to what she originally came here to do. She looks at him from under her bangs.]

Um, is it alright if I get into the spring too? I was going to keep my towel on since I knew the outdoor ones were mixed.

The World Formula, for one. Me and those of my kind can not only see it but alter it in order to strengthen our bodies and produce magic.

[ Noé made a small face at that, as he hadn't meant to just be quite that honest with this young woman who was still relatively a stranger to him. She wouldn't know what he was talking about, and so he opted to clear his throat as his expression softened noticeably. ]

At least that was possible where I came from.

[ She is quite cute when she makes a face like that, and he still listened all the same when she had explained how she'd been able to use those invisible hand-things. Those words brought so many questions to the forefront of his mind, such as who Lucy was and how long this person had been able to use her abilities. ]

Even so. I find it quite impressive all the same.

[ Ah. Noé realized he was probably being impolite and not letting her get in, even if some part of him was just... balking a little. Mixed baths were unheard of and he knew he had to get used to this as that's just how things were. ]

Oh! O-Of course! Please.

[ Let it be said he still had his manners though, just nodding his head and looking down at the water almost self consciously because he'd been keeping his towel dry so he could use it when getting out and not for the purpose of being possibly indecent when someone else joined them. ]

Your kind? Are you a magician? Or a mage?

[Mage was another word for magician, right? Only, less childlike. The reason she came up with those two titles was because he mentioned being able to produce magic. And isn't that what magicians and mages do?

She'll ask where he's from in a moment, but at his compliment of still finding her use of the vectors impressive, she smiles shyly and mumbles a soft "thank you."

When he gives her the okay to join him in the water, her brain short-circuits for a moment as all she's able to say is another "thank you," but a little louder than she meant to because of her being just as flustered as him. Technically, this isn't the first time she's bathed with a man, but that time she hopped into the bath with Kouta had been when she couldn't speak properly, so Nyuu couldn't recall that memory. Right now, to her, it may as well be the first time.

B-But she shouldn't let herself get so nervous! They were just relaxing in the hot spring together. It's not like they were going to do anything else besides bathing!

Nyuu looks down at the water too, but she doesn't dare look further than where her own feet disappear into as she enters. The water may not be crystal clear, but she didn't want to risk accidentally seeing something. She does, however, let out a content sigh as she lets herself sink further into the hot water, so that it reaches up to her collarbones now. She finds a place to settle that's neither too close nor too far from Noé; more than enough to give each other space yet close enough to continue their conversation.]

So, where are you from then? I'm from Japan, only, it's more modern than the Nippon we're in right now.

Vampire, actually.

[ This was enough to make him stare a little dubiously at the water for a second, pondering on why he was being so forthcoming about such details. Then again, most people here wouldn't be as phased about it as the people back home would be, so maybe it was okay for someone to know this information. ]

I've seen some who are capable of creating fire and ice, for example.

[ She's definitely thanking him not once, but twice and it's rather endearing and yet he hadn't put it together that it was because of her being just as flustered as he was about this whole matter altogether.

It took a moment for him to look over at Nyuu once she'd settled in the water comfortably, eyes trailing up to those white horns for a second or two. A fleeting thing before pulling himself back to the conversation at hand here, as what she'd asked was a simple thing and nothing he minded talking about. ]

I'm from Paris, France. It's quite a lovely place, but so is Nippon.

[ Hold on. Nyuu had said something about 'modern' but he wasn't quite sure what that word meant. It was kind of like the telekinesis matter from before. ]

Modern? What is it you mean by that?

Vampire? [Nyuu's heard of the term before, albeit only through books and the glimpses she caught on TV.] You mean, the ones who need blood to survive? And they only come out at night?

[Is the polite way to put it. Yet Nyuu doesn't sound too alarmed. If anything, she sounds both curious and cautious. She's not scared. Well, maybe a little, but Noé hasn't said or done anything to make her think he's one of the "evil" vampires commonly portrayed in the media. Plus, he hadn't said anything to make her feel self-conscious about her horns, so she didn't want to make him feel self-conscious about being a vampire either.

Thankfully, the mention of Paris and the question are enough to lighten up the mood for her. Her eyes sparkle.]

Ah, I've heard about Paris and seen pictures! Have you ever been to the Palace of Versailles? Do you see the Eiffel Tower everyday? What's your favorite food from there? [But then she catches herself and reels in her excitement, smiling bashfully.] Sorry, I didn't mean to get carried away...

As for what modern means... Well, it's a little hard to explain since it seems like everyone in my world already knows what it means. Um--What I mean by 'modern,' is that some of the things that are used here in Nippon are no longer used in my time, or at least, they're not as common as they used to be. Most things in my time period run on electricity. We don't have steam-powered home appliances. Then horse-driven carriages have been replaced by cars.

[She realizes he may not know what a car is either.]

A car is kind of like a carriage, except it's made out of metal and you can drive it by yourself. No animals needed. It runs on gas.
