[Paimon nods as well, crossing her little arms as she floats between them. "Paimon would have insisted even if he said no. After all, Paimon wouldn't be able to carry him back if he fell asleep while walking! ...are you gonna finish that?"]
[Ah, he never did finished eating... but it's fine. He just passes it to Paimon before standing as well.]
But I'm not actually living in the same place anymore. It was too hard to go back to an empty house, so... I'm staying with Childe and Zhongli for now.

I see.
[Diluc casts his eyes around the park, finding his bearings, and then lightly adjusts the weight of the wind glider. Wearing it is easier than carrying it and he doesn't care about any looks he might get (few people here have any business looking oddly at anyone, if he's being blunt about it). He tilts his head then lightly points off down the path.]
That way, then. After you.

[He steps forward to take the lead, though Paimon is the one actually leading the way. Aether's tired enough that she doesn't quite trust his sense of direction.]
...have you met either of them at all?
no subject
[Still not really betraying anything, he gives a small, deliberately reserved shrug of one shoulder. That he knows where they live may not be much of a surprise given his tendency to be very well-connected, but he rarely makes much advertisement of who he knows in Nippon on a more personal level.
Though he was the same way in Mondstadt, too.]
For all its size, Nippon manages to not be a large place when it comes to running into other people from Teyvat.
[By now, he thinks, he has probably met almost all of them.]

I've noticed something similar myself. Even when I'm not seeking anyone out, I run into people from Teyvat or other refugees more often than not.
Maybe the kizuna flowing between us just naturally draws us together?
no subject
I imagine we just have a tendency to gravitate to the same kinds of places. [By the Seven he doesn't want to think about kizuna at the moment.]
For the activities, the company, or the potential for information.
[Festivals would have much the same draw across Teyvat, after all. People from all over a country might head in to a yearly event.]
For myself, I tend to lean towards the latter. There's nothing to be learned from not being where others are.

So, us meeting in that particular forest in Kyoto was probably just coincidence, then.
[Not that he thinks Kizuna was absolutely the thing that drew them together, but it was something worth thinking about. Even the NRL didn't understand all facets of it.]
Or I guess it could have just been fate. Especially if this really is the second time around we've experienced this year.

[Diluc has his own, of course, but he's suspicious of almost everything that happens in Nippon and especially when that 'something' has to do with either kizuna or time loops. Just because he knows they exist and has seen them in action doesn't mean he trusts a damn thing about how they work.
And he doesn't trust the NRL as far as he could throw them, either.]
I'm not sure about it, myself.
