[ He watches his twin through half-lidded eyes. He's taking in his brother's face - the way Thanatos flushes and doesn't back away. Despite the lazy expression, he doesn't miss a beat. Not the smallest twitch or shift. It's been a long time since he's looked at Thanatos so closely. It's been a long time since he's been this close. And a long time since he's thought about intimacy with him.
Like his brother, he hasn't forgotten about the times that they were. He's certain he never would. It's almost comforting to have Thanatos here again - this close to him. It's a comforting warmth that he's not letting go of. ]

[ He holds onto his twin's face gently. Hypnos is delicate in his touch, treating Thanatos as if he weren't the solid figure of death, but rather one who deserves soft attention and affection.

[Thanatos is still wearing that faintly tense, irritated, puzzled expression even while Hypnos holds his face like that, like he's something precious and something that needs to be treated with care. He would deny if asked that such gentle deference did anything to him, he would absolutely deny that it stirs something up in him that he had left abandoned for such a span of time that he had forgotten how it felt...
Being close to Ares had been one thing - his first reintroduction into long-forgotten emotions when he arrived here - but when it's Hypnos it's different. It's always been different with Hypnos.]

[ They were cut from the same cloth, so even time apart doesn't sever the connection that they have. It may have gotten weaker than Hypnos would have liked, but it never truly went anywhere. And being here - it felt stronger than it had in years. It was such an easy memory to reconnect with. He never truly forgot what it felt like to touch his twin or be close to him. He doesn't want to treat Thanatos as anything other than delicately. It was his wordless admission as to how much this moment meant to him.

[He doesn't need to say 'I'm sure you will'. Thanatos doubts his twin's capabilities in many respects but when it comes to this, he has no doubts at all. He sighs a little as Hypnos' fingers rub over his hairline and the small hairs there stand on end, sending a small shiver down his spine.]

[The corners of his lips soften in a faint smile.]
