[it's nice to believe that Asch thinks he doesn't deserve any of this. and really, Luke is just as stubborn as he is, so is Asch really surprised at how gung ho he is about this whole thing? probably not. and really, two swords are better than one, even if Asch is loathe to admit it.

[in a distance part of his mind he agrees; two swords are better than one, and he really should have at least one other person along to help. The problem is that the stubborn, independent part of his brain takes over and insists he doesn't need anyone, especially not failure replicas.
