⌛ Who: Dohalim ilqaras, Luke re_sonate ⌛ What: Permanent Catch-All ⌛ When: Various ⌛ Where: Various; noted in threads ⌛ Warnings: Smut and other things probably
[honestly, taking it in stride is all Dohalim can do at this point. there's not much he can do, and it's not like he can take time off work for however long it will take for this enchantment to wear off. so, unfortunately for him, he'll just have to deal with it. at least Minato hasn't said anything about it.
at the inquiry for employment, Dohalim offers a small smile, and nodding]
Yes, it is. We focus more on tea in the parlour, as well as the edible offerings as accompaniment.
[Dohalim thinks for a moment, humming to himself. he could go for a cup of tea right now...]
If I were to show you where everything is at the tea bar, would you be able to brew me a pot?
[He nodded. He wondered, idly, if coffee could be added to the the menu later but that would be for a later time if he got the job.
Right now? Minato looked a little surprised but then nodded again. It wouldn't hurt and hopefully his skills hadn't rusted in the months since he had actually brewed a proper pot.]
[rounding the corner of the tea bar, he pulls out a wooden box before opening it. if Minato were to look inside, he'll see that it's compartmentalised with small tins, labeled with perfect handwriting of what its contents are; some of them seems to be blended teas and some seem to be basic teas. as he pulls out the green tea tin, he reaches over to take a tea pot and lays them out together. his movements are fluid, as he continues to lay things out neatly, like the strainer and spoons and cups, as well as a tray for everything. it certainly seems like he wants to know if Minato knows the intricacies of tea serving.
not that that matters particularly in this moment. practices can be taught. Dohalim is just curious. he offers the other a polite smile, before gesturing to where he can find hot water, before stepping back to watch]
[He nodded. He opened the tin of green tea and looked at the leaves for a moment. They smelled good, not necessarily fresh because they were dried but obviously not old either. Good.
He found the hot water as well although he wasn't sure of the temperature. It was steaming though so he assumed it was already ready for steeping tea leaves. He carefully measured out the tea leaves into the strainer. It was something Mitsuru had taught him, not that he was an expert at it but making a good cup of tea was always nice when coffee wasn't available.
He then set out the cup before Dohalim while the tea formed in the hot water. He glanced at the spoons for a moment, shaking his head and setting them aside. Green tea was meant to be drunk on its own, after all. There wasn't going to be anything added.]
If you have matcha as well, I'd recommend adding konpeito when serving this or matcha. It balances out the bitterness.
[He lifted the tea lid to move the strainer a bit, balancing out the tea before lifting it from the pot all together and setting it aside on an extra plate. Then, he set about pour the cup for Dohalim. He wasn't all that knowledgeable on actually serving the tea. Just making it.
Then, he set the pot back on the tray and waited for Dohalim's verdict.]
