Mingye does not move from where he's sitting, or how his head is against Ouyang's shoulder. Though, listening to them talk actually has him a bit curious. Something that was on his mind knowing that Ouyang had a piece of their dragon too. His own scale against his chest.

"You mean if he'll let us help."

There's a teasing tone to his voice when he says it. He knows that Runyu won't have a problem with them helping, but there's hardly ever much to help with. He nuzzles against Ouyang's cheek, ruffling a few of his feathers when he does.

"So, we know that we can contact you with the scales and you'll know where we are at all times. Would that work the same with us or does it only work for you?"

Runyu blinked in surprise. Less because he hadn't expected to be called out so thoroughly in a sentence and more that he was amused that he had been. He let out a soft laugh and took another sip of tea as he shook his head. Leave it to Mingye to not let him get away with anything. Even before he'd done it.

Ah but that was a fair question.

"It is my body so that is why I can sense you. But unless you know magic that needs a piece of me to track back to me, I'm not sure how it would work for you. I think there would have to be another way to tie back to me for you both."

Ouyang grins at the teasing once more. He wonders how true it is, but thinks, perhaps, if these men want to keep him, it might not be such a bad life. Realistically, he knows he could never be a kept man. He would grow too bored with idleness. At least they can let him help keep the place tidy.

He's drawn from his thoughts by Mingye's question. It was something that hadn't occurred to him to be possible. Then again, it wasn't that long ago he thought dragons and magic were nothing more than myth.

"Perhaps there is someone in this place who can help us achieve that."

Teasing Runyu came as easy to him as breathing. He also knows that their dragon wouldn't ever hold them down. It was one of the reasons that Mingye was out in the tree playing his xiao or out walking the city. Being idle was not something that he, himself, was good at either.

There's a soft hum out of him as he listens to Runyu talk about how unless they knew magic that he wasn't sure how it would work for them. Though, that just makes him think that they could possibly find either a device or an amulet or a ring... something and embue it.

His eyes look between the two men in his life," Maybe. Or maybe we don't quite need magic, exactly."

Runyu looked interested as Mingye spoke up. He seemed to have an idea of some kind and he was intrigued. Perhaps something clever to allow them a way around this. So that way they could always find each other when they needed to.

Though he didn't plan to ever be in danger he knew it meant the world to them to be able to get to him so protect him if he was to find any.

"What are you thinking, Ye'er?"

Ouyang was also curious. He had far less experience with any sort of magic than either of his partners. It was a rarity in his world, not the norm as it seemed to be in theirs. He can't his head, attention hooked on Mingye as he waited silently for further explanation.
