"Nie-xiong!" If he had a free hand to wave, he would have. It seems Nie Huaisang has a talent for approaching Wei Wuxian when he has too much food in his arms. "We have to stop meeting like this," he teases.

Huaisang is amused at the other's state and he just laughs at the teasing.

"Do you want some help?"

[diabolique]

"Would you mind?" He's already handing foodstuffs over to his friend before Huaisang can answer. "What have you tried so far? THese mooncakes are the best I've had so far!"

Huaisang rolls his eyes and he accepts the items and manages to balance them decently well enough!

"I haven't tried all that much yet. You'll have to share the mooncakes with me."

[diabolique]

Wei Wuxian huffs in indignation. "Well! We'll just have to go back and try everything all over again! It's all really good and no ill-effects so far!"

[eternalgrief]

Huaisang laughs.

"We're both going to end up plump."

[diabolique]

"Lan Zhan will still love me," he snorts with laughter.

[eternalgrief]

"Do you think A-Cheng would still be attracted to me if I were?" Huaisang says casually.

[diabolique]

"Probably," he quips, giving Huaisang a once over. "You're a good-looking person and I don't think Jiang Cheng is that shallow! Besides, he already likes you."

[eternalgrief]

Huaisang snorts and he elbows Wuxian playfully with a shake of his head. "How do you know if he is shallow or not? Perhaps if I became too plump he would suddenly turn his attention elsewhere."

The joke belies the actual insecurity that Huaisang has, the deep fear of betrayal and abandonment.

"I'm well aware he's quite fond of me."

A brow lifts and his smile grows wide. He leans in close and drops his voice. "Are you sleeping with him?"

[eternalgrief]

Huaisang laughs, raising a brow. "Of course I am. Haven't you noticed he's been less uptight lately?"

[diabolique]

"I shouldn't be surprised. I just figured, with his issue he wouldn't get close to anyone." Jiang Cheng definitely has some issues and a lot of them revolve around what happened to his family, which, in turn, falls at Wei Wuxian's feet. It's a guilt he can never atone for, even if Jiang Cheng is willing to be brothers with him again.

Huaisang shrugs and he looks up thoughtful for a moment.

"He was always so angry even when he came here, unable to relax. So I decided to change that."

[diabolique]

"Nie-xiong, can you keep a secret?" Of course, he can! But Wei Wuxian doesn't know the extent of all that... yet. "I think Jiang Cheng is afraid of losing people, that's why he pushes everyone away. I think that's my fault."

[eternalgrief]

"Of course I can," Huaisang smirks briefly. The other really has no idea. He's quiet as the other speaks and stays quiet a little bit afterward.

"I know but it's not only your fault."

Huaisang knows from personal experience that the fault never rests on one person and part of the responsibility is the person who chooses to let their past dictate their present.
