He smiles at the appearance and settles in against his friend. The colors suit him!

"Aah? I would not kill him because he'd simply be replaced by someone worse. In making sure he had to stay bedridden, his loyal guards would keep him in power."

The colors have meaning: red and/or yellow signifies courage, white signifies death, and blue signifies heavenliness. They are a message without him saying a word or wielding his sword.

"He must be a coward. I wouldn't accept such a limited life." Sesshomaru turns his head to watch Zishu, "What about you? Would you be content?"

All of the meanings of those colors suit Sesshomaru.

Zishu blinks at the words, considering them for a moment before huffing out a little breath, gaze dropping. "...Yes. He is."

A wry little smile tugs at his lips with that question and he shakes his head slightly. "No."

"So I will stay beside you, Kitsune." Sesshomaru is only half-teasing. He has no stomach for cowards. Raising himself slightly on one elbow, he peers down at Zishu.
