There was still new places to explore! An adventurer at heart, Genbu once again set off to learn about Nippon. Dressed in his usual flashy outfit¹, and matching flashy axe on his back, Genbu headed towards a place he's heard of known as "Little Edo".

It wasn't long before he found himself in a more foresty area in Little Edo, a few minutes walk from a shrine. With snacks in hand, he sought out a nice spot to rest in, and placed his axe down...until he heard footsteps approaching.

It was a quiet spot, after all. Very quiet, so he could easily hear footsteps vibrating in his horns. And with an Au Ra's amazing spatial awareness, he could easily pinpoint the source of the noise. Another refugee perhaps?

"Yoooo! Ya hungry? Why don't ya join me for some snacks?" Genbu called out in his naturally boisterous voice, easily breaking the peaceful silence. A vine shifts nearby, but Genbu doesn't notice, as he walks towards the source of the footsteps.

Should the mystery person be someone he's met before...well, he'll find that out in just a second.

[ooc:1. so Genbu's outfit does not contain the red belt, nor the gray shirt underneath the jacket! His titty: OUT. Genbu has a more muscular body like this than the one in the picture above.

For Kokoro's part, she wanted to find a little, quieter place away from the bustle of the the city, and besides, it's nice and cool out. She's felt a little out of it since sitting in one of the hot springs too long, and while the kisses did help... Well, a little bit of nice, cold rest is in order for the snow maiden.

But Genbu's booming voice jerks Kokoro out of her quiet thoughts and she jumps a little.

OH MY GOD, IT'S AN -- I DON'T KNOW??

"Hi! I... I'm good on the snacks; I have to be careful what I eat." Her voice was a little louder than usual, thanks to the surprised burst of adrenaline.

"Oi oi! Why do you sound like that!? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Genbu stares at this young woman-by the gods she's so pink-and ponders.

Oh.

"H-hey now! I may look scary but I'm nice, I promise!" He gives her his trademark cheesy smile as he walks closer, mainly to hear her better.

The look of doubt on Kokoro's face is answer enough.

"I MEAN, YOU DEFINITELY HAVE FEET, SO YOU'RE NOT A GHOST." That's a totally normal, not weird thing to say to someone who looks like they were on the cover on one of her classmate's horror magazines. "I- I mean, sorry, you're just super alarming just out of nowhere."

"Aw missy, I'm sorry! I really mean no ha-"

Genbu stumbles forward when he trips on a shifting vine, causing the bento he was holding to fall to the ground and break, spilling the contents.

"NOOOOOOO! GRANNY WORKED SO HARD ON MAKIN' THOSE!" Oh dear Gods this was the absolute worst. And here he was about to try and share some with the young woman to establish a connection and prove he's not a bad guy.

"The rice!!" Kokoro chimed in as he exclaimed over the bento's untimely demise. Something wrapped itself around her leg and yanked her towards Genbu.

"WHAT?? NO???" The vine did not listen and dragged her anyway, the ice she formed under her feet doing nothing but make her acceleration faster. Impact in 3, 2, 1...

As it were, Sanchoumou had a day off from work. What one does on a day is up to their discretion, but as he doesn't have a usual citadel to dwell in, he chooses to wander about. A peaceful walk in the forests of Little Edo, get the lay of the land, it sounds like a pleasant idea.

Genbu yelling doesn't ruin the pleasant feeling, no worries there. But Sanchoumou in contrast is dressed in his usual classy attire that's actually meant for battle, really... They can both stand out, and while he doesn't let his guard down completely with a stranger, Sanchoumou raises a hand in greeting.

"I see no reason not to, I didn't expect hospitality out here." His voice is smooth and a touch friendly. "Might I ask do you have to eat out here?" He has no real preferences, just curiosity if it's from the forest. Foraged foods, fish... Game?

As he approaches the man, he eventually gets a good look at him. And damn, what a looker! This man stands out quite a lot, wearing attire Genbu can only see in Eorzea back home. In fact, it looks something Tataru could probably make. Genbu will have to ask her about that. Well...if he sees her again.

But enough about that, there's other things to focus on. Like this interesting looking hyur.

"Gahahaha! Can't help it. I'm a friendly guy! I like makin' new friends." Genbu pulls out what seems to be a stack of bento boxes wrapped in cloth that seemed to have been loosened. "I dunno about 'out here', though. I only just got here! And I ain't really one to forage around until I become more familiar with the plant life in Nippon. Don't wanna end up gettin' poisoned from foolishly eatin' some random mushroom I find! Bahahaha!"

It really is some high class attire any tailor would appreciate. Honestly though, he should look into clothes that stand out less in the city perhaps. More Taisho, less Yakuza. But for the interesting look he has, Sanchoumou gives a small smile at the bentos once unveiled.

"Trying to make friends out in the forest is a peculiar choice... But those look lovely."

He'll take one of those bento in his hands, and his etiquette is pretty refined. Not perfect, but he treats it more like a snack than meal. Whatever it is will be much better than any wild mushroom, so Genbu's got it right. He appreciates it!

"To pack along food for excursions... I should do that next time." He says that like a reminder to himself, and to be humble. Swords, old swords like him, can forget!

"A good thing to keep note fer sure! I grew up constantly travelin' and campin' with my parents. Survival skills are second nature to me, I reckon! Hahaha!"

Genbu's laugh once again echoes amongst the trees, and vines shifts once again, this time around Genbu's feet. Of course, focusing on this man makes him unable to notice the change, not even as a vine slid around his ankle.

"Then I'm with someone experienced. That's comforting to hear.“

Missions and Expeditions can involve some travel in forests like so, but this Nippon is different from the one he's knows for years. Many, many years.

Genbu's laugh feels like it could make the trees and leaves shake with its volume. But, while Sanchoumou's busy listening to Genbu and eating some of the bento, he can just see the vine move in his peripheral vision, causing to him to pause. He thought it might be a snake, in which caution, not panic is advisable.

"...Do we have another guest with us?"

[Someone he has met indeed, though Ochako's outfit may not be one Genbu has seen. She's in the area on patrol, as well as looking for a good place to go to for training her quirk - either with or without Bakugou - in the future. Somewhere they can both really cut loose and go wild without risk of any real property damage or anything...considering their quirks alone can be pretty destructive...

She hears Genbu before she sees him, her heels clacking against the ground as she comes up, waving one arm excitedly. Heh, she can take a quick break for right now, and a snack does sound pretty nice, too!! It's just about the time she usually has lunch, or tea when she's home doing the chores, so this is actually perfect.]

Hi, Genbu-san!! What are you doing out here?

[Ochako pouts a little bit. Honestly, does he expect her to call him Genbu-kun or Genbu-chan or something?! No way!! He's way older than she is, and even if they are good friends, she can't really...address him so informally. It's just wrong in her culture, and would insinuate something a bit more, erm...

Yeah. No. Not when Genbu reminds her so much of her teacher, or a parent. The very thought alone makes Ochako wrinkle her nose and make a face, before swiftly moving on and switching topics.]

Hm, me? Oh, I'm on patrol right now - hero work!! Bakugou-kun and I do this every so often, just to make sure nothing bad is happening in the city - fires, robberies, criminal activity - as well as a bit of exploration myself. It also gives me a chance to train my quirk.

I-Isn't that...a bit too, um. F-Familiar? [Calling him by just his given name is seriously inappropriate, given her culture. Even if he is a close friend, Ochako is still way younger than he is, so the honorific sort of helps with her level of familiarity and respect for him. Sorry, man, but the least she's willing to do is--] G...Genbu-kun? Is that alright?

[Even that feels a little odd, but not as uncomfortable as simply 'Genbu' is to her. But anyway, m-moving on indeed!]

A little. I'm mostly just doing a baseline patrol - making sure there's nothin bad happening or no one needs any help of some kind. But it also helps me train my quirk, too. Since I usually float myself along and my boosters proper me forward. [She lifts a leg, and one of her boots does indeed have a hole in the heel, where small jets will fire to move her when she's weightless.] I can also use my wires to hook onto things and pull me forward, too, kinda like Tarzan!

[And here's where she points to the holes in her wrist guards.]

A new arrival, but clearly not unfamiliar with Nippon in a sense. Naturally he got to know the land in a more modern setting, so being able to explore it in a time before it was to become eventually was exciting to him.

Approaching the area that Genbu would be making his resting area the last thing he’d expected was such a boisterous personality, it only managed to throw him off for but a minute before being offered snacks.

“Ciao, ciao! It would be an honour to join you for...” Oh dear, did he even realise what time it was? Italy looked up for a moment before offering the other a smile.

“Merenda! Yes! It seems about that time, doesn’t it?”

He couldn’t help but laugh some, beaming up at the friendly stranger.

“My name is Italia, and I appreciate getting to meet someone new!”

Aw, what an adorable midlander! The way he beamed so cheerfully made Genbu's heart melt just a little.

Maybe he just really likes hyurs a little too much.

But come on, he even chanted for 'chow' so happily! Poor guy must have been hungry.

"Nice to meet ya, Italia!" Interesting name. Sounded a bit feminine but Genbu wasn't the type to judge. "My name's Genbu! Call me anythin' ya like, though! I love nicknames! Though uh, 'Miranda' might be a bit out there! Gahahah!"

There was that joyful little laugh again, moving in closer to the other as if there were no care in the world.

"No, no... Miranda is the name for a real cute girl, maybe she has a mischievous little wink yes? Meranda is a term for mid-afternoon snack time."

Here he was, being entirely way too personal as he'd given Genbu a hug and a pat on the back, as best he could anyway.

"You have such a delightful name, and your horns are magnificent. What sort of land do you come from?"

"Aw, ya have a word for mid-afternoon snack where you come fro-"

Genbu is cut off and lights up when the small man hugs him. Out of nowhere. Of his own will. Genbu's heart began to race. Oh dear Gods where has this sweet and precious man been all his life? And the way he looked upon the raen with interest rather than confusion...oh gods it was too much for the taller man, and his heart just flooded over with emotion.

He passionately hugs Italia back, and practically lifts him up in his arms.

"Aaaagh!! Y-you're just the sweetest thing! No one's ever approached me like this before! To compliment my horns and even hug me, I'm about to cry!" Tragically, in the commotion he's caused, the stack of bento he was about to pull out fell off his person and came crashing down onto the ground.

Being hugged like this was familiar for Italy, who just gleefully went with it.

"Really? You seem very friendly and kind, isn't that enough for people to want to get closer?" Honestly, it seemed like he would be a hit like this. Then again, Italy has a fond love for fantasy afterall, so why wouldn't he be interested to talk to someone like this?

"Ah... Genbu, it looks like you lost your bento! Is it okay?"

While the hustle and bustle of city life is nice, Kashuu find Little Edo more to his tastes. The traditional setting and atmosphere almost feel like home to him, which is both reassuring and making him think about his mission. Unlike his usual missions, he have no method of returning.

As he explores, he find himself wandering into greener, natural areas. The silence only serves to get him to think about the circumstances.

... Until a loud, boisterous voice shatter the peaceful silence.

"Huh?"

That sure is a recognisably loud voice. It's that horned guy? Kashuu quicken his steps and... yep, that's Genbu alright.

"Ooooh, it's you! Genbu, right?"

"Eh? Oh! Shuu-chan, right? The mystery boy from a while back!" Well, he certainly didn't expect to see him again after such a while. He gives the other a cheerful smile as he approaches.

"What brings ya to this side of town? Or forest, or whatevs."

[saigawa]

"Yep, that's me! And it's Kashuu."

Get his name right, at least! Kashuu stop in front of Genbu, looking up at the taller guy.

"Just exploring Little Edo, actually. And then I find myself wandering right over here, y'know? Little Edo kind of reminds me of places I've been too, so it's just nice to walk around."

"Ehh...but Shuu-chan is so cute..." Genbu murmurs to himself, pouting like a child.

"Well if you're tired from all that walkin' around, why not join me for a little break? Granny made me a couple of bentos, but I don't mind sharin' one!" Genbu even goes ahead and starts shuffling through his person to look for said bentos.
