I. Starry Night - Pond

Times like this were peaceful for him. When he could stand at the edge of a pond like this and see the stars in the sky as well as the reflection of the water. It reminded him so much of quieter times before everything had changed in his life. When he was just the Night Immortal with his Dream Beast at his side. Before all the pain and suffering...so much caused by his own hand.

Embracing his element, he stepped forth onto the water, walking across the surface with only soft ripples following. Soon the dragon was several feet away from the shore and just looking up at the sky above him. He smiled softly as he did, a breeze softly stirring his hair.

Hearing someone behind him, he looked over his shoulder to see who had joined him.

II. Starry Night - Daytime Stalls

Curious about the stalls that appeared for the meteor shower, Runyu visited them during the day. The food looked good but he wasn't hungry and ignored it for the most part. The trinkets though? These had his attention. Little toys and hair pins and other accessories. He couldn't help but to smile as he looked them over, sometimes picking them up to inspect them before setting them aside.

It was like he was looking for just the right thing. Which was honestly true. He was looking for little gifts for his loved ones. Something special to give to them. They never asked for that but it still felt like something he wanted to do all the same.

Lifting up a pin, he hummed softly then looked at the person next to him. "What do you think?"

III. Starry Night - Meteor Shower

Once all the lights were out, he moved to where he could have a good view of the sky. The shower was stunning, much like the ones he would provide the Mortal Realm in the past. It brought a smile to his lips to watch it happen. "...beautiful."

Near him he heard whispers of which on the rainbow tails. For a second he considered it then shook is head as he looked to the sky again. There was nothing he wanted to wish for. Nothing that he felt he could deserve to wish for. It was better that all that remained in his own world. Unless he wanted to wish for Xufeng's happiness which he already knew his brother would have in the end with Jinmi and those beautiful children.

So, he was just content to watch instead. "I wonder who controls the night sky here..."

"As am I." As a fellow person who's done Horrible Things™, he's learned the value of a fresh start. Even though he had Zishu in his previous life, his lust for revenge was a wedge between them that doesn't exist in this place. "You look more like your true self."

"That is fortunate for all of us," Kexing mused. "It would be a true pity for a magnificent creature such as yourself to be haunted by self-loathing." He stepped a little closer, probably closer than people who are just friends would stand. "I like this version of you just as much."

Though Kexing was closer than what would be appropriate for a friend, he'd honestly been more than that for awhile now. So Runyu didn't mind and welcomed it, even stepping closer so he could lift a hand to gently make sure that that beautiful hair framed the man's face just so.

"If you've the time you can see how far the changes go. I would welcome that."

"For you? I always have time."

Kexing reached up to brush his fingers lightly across the scales on Runyu's face. He couldn't help noticing there was no one else around and a sly grin touched his lips.

"We could make love right here, under the starlight."

Kexing all but purred in agreement. He reached between them to pry open the front of Runyu's robes, waiting until his hands were clear of Kexing's own belt to reach for eh dragon's. He could undress a man in the span of a few heartbeats, and though he's eager to see the changes to Runyu's body, he also wants to take his time. It isn't often he gets to lay another out in starlight.

Feeling the air on his skin, he laughed softly and kissed the man again. His hands were already roaming, freeing Kexing of the layers so he could get to the warm skin beneath. The dragon scales were covering his sides and back now to trail along his arms and lets. That tail was certainly on display now, wrapped around the man's leg to hold him close. It's only when his lungs screamed for air that he pulled away, nipping at Runyu's lower lip.
