[closed] the heart it beats the thunder rolls
⌛ Who: Scaramouche & Kazuha
⌛ What: Cute date
⌛ When: Mid June
⌛ Where: The West
⌛ Warnings: Will add as needed, Idiots
[There's a lot Kunikuzushi's learned since he met Kazuha, more still since they'd gotten involved. Things he's had to relearn since he closed himself off from others for so long, things he wonders if he's even capable of - the often answer drifting through his mind being no. But the simple things, like maintaining the wellbeing of another is at least doable enough.
The samurai is someone he has no desires to hurt, brings about a different reaction in him when the man expresses pain or sadness, so unlike the pleasure he gets from seeing such extreme emotion on the face of others. It gives him pause, builds a tightness in his chest when he's the one responsible, and makes him irritable when he's the one not.
Rainy season is something reminiscent of Inazuma, the constant downpour, the dreary skies and storms. Too much like home that he isn't certain on his own feelings for it - if he even has any - but Kazuha's response to the weather is much different. Perhaps it's because he's spent so much time with the mortal that he's finally able to read him better, or perhaps it's because it's because the change is more noticeable than Kazuha's usual demeanour.
The other Inazuman is not a fan of the storms.
It's easy enough to come up with a plan to take the samurai's mind off it, a day out full of distractions, little else he can offer to soothe. Kunikuzushi's never been great with gifts and kind gestures, smaller unspoken actions suiting him better, but he knows Kazuha's been miserable and wants to change it. He cares little for wealth and makes more than enough to fund a full day of distractions for his boyfriend.
So when the sun begins to creep into their room, the immortal stretches awake, pulling himself from the futon to go make himself more presentable. His usual morning routine, though the boldness of his eyeliner as he applies it, says it's anything but.]

He lingers in bed a little longer these days, still tired in the morning from light, unrestful sleep. This morning is no exception, the samurai staying behind in the futon as his boyfriend gets ready for the day. He stays as long as he thinks he can get away with it, then finally forces himself out of bed and folds it, putting it away in the storage so as to not tempt him back in.
Kazuha isn’t quite awake, sleepiness clinging to his features and mannerisms as he shuffles around with his own morning routine. He passes by Kunikuzushi twice before he even notices that he's doing his makeup different, and he finally pauses and shuffles over, pressing his lips to his boyfriend's shoulder.]
Getting dressed up for someone, Kuni?
no subject
Why? Have I caught your attention?
[He finishes up a point before setting down the brush, turning his head to better look back at the mortal, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Kunikuzushi hasn't quite decided what they'll do first, not feeling the need to plan every single detail for something as simple as a day out. He's always been the type to do as he pleases anyway, so some planning with the ease to shuffle things around works best for the situation.
How much of the day should be told to the samurai however he's less certain on, assuming that if he were to tell Kazuha that he wishes to distract him from the storms he'd be met with assurances that the man is fine. Instead the immortal reaches back, hand gently brushing against his boyfriend's hair within his reach.]
We're going out.
no subject
We are?
[The samurai is certain that the immortal hadn't mentioned it, though with the way he seems to be doing a little more effort in his makeup, he's suddenly a lot more concerned about being prepared for whatever he had planned.
He picks his head up, curling his arms a bit tighter around Kunikuzushi's waist as he turns his head to place a few kisses on the other man's jaw.]
You are always beautiful, Kuni... Is it a special occasion?
no subject
As arms tighten around him, Kunikuzushi leans back, a warm smile on his face and faint pink dusting his cheeks. It always feels different to hear the man calling him beautiful, someone whose opinion he actually cares for. One of the only people to usually have him respond with less arrogant and sure of himself.]
You flatter me.
[A special occasion isn't quite the words Kunikuzushi would place to the planned outing, though the words couldn't hurt. It's an outing between the two of them as they've done before, a date of sorts with a hidden motive. Perhaps he's putting too much care into it, but with the way the mortal treats him, it's something he wants to at the very least try and do right. Some semblance of what someone with a heart would do.]
It's special enough. We don't have to leave immediately, if you're thinking of relaxing like this.

Hmm... I should get breakfast started. A light one? Any requests?
[It's a question that seems innocent enough, but there's a veiled reason why he asks. The heaviness of breakfast would determine how much activity and eating they were going to do, and he's maybe a little bit curious.
The samurai loosens his arms, giving his boyfriend's cheek another kiss as he slips from him. He doesn't step back though, letting the immortal rest in his grip, secure from falling no matter how much he leans.]

I trust whatever you make to be good, but something light would be for the best.
[He straightens up as Kazuha's hold on him loosens, turning to smile faintly at him. If things go right then the samurai would have at least one day free from the downpour plaguing him, leaving the immortal with at the very least some ideas on how to deal with matters outside of his control. Better equipped on how to handle the rest of the rainy season.
If nothing worked that would still provide him with something, though there would be more he'd need to look into to help ease the troubles of the season. If that ends up being the results he hopes that a day out with him provides even some form of enjoyment.
Leaning forward, Kunikuzushi places a kiss to the corner of the samurai's mouth.]
Did you want help?
no subject
He smiles, warm enough to close his eyes, but says nothing for a moment as he considers. Kazuha hardly allows help when he's cooking, but he feels...]
If you're done with your makeup you can come help me.
[He loosens his hands and lifts his right, rubbing the back of his pointer finger over Kunikuzushi's cheek affectionately. His love is just as soft as the day he brought him out to the plum blossoms.]
I made rice yesterday. It shouldn't take too long.
no subject
Another day, another time, cooking for the samurai could be something he attempted.
Hearing that Kazuha is open to his help surprises him, a small startled look on his face that lasts barely a moment before morphing back into a faint smile. His makeup is bold enough for his own tastes, different enough from his usual that the immortal doesn't think he needs more when the samurai has already spoken of his beauty. Clothes can wait until after breakfast, and he'll straighten out his hair more if needed then as well.]
Does it not look finished?
[Kunikuzushi lightly leans into the touch, resting a hand on the arm still wrapped around him. Depending on when they finished and got into the city they might be able to do something leaning into the other man's love for the arts. Certainly Kazuha would enjoy that.]
