[Ye Baiyi walks into the kitchen where he hears some telltale sounds one of his brats is in there. Tucked in his arm are two large bottles of liquor, which he sets down on the table.]

Hey you, get two bowls.

(( Who did he really expect to be in the kitchen other than Wen Kexing? ))

What do you want?

(( Though, he's not about to decline free alcohol and moves to fetch two drinking dishes. ))

[There's a chance he might have been seeking this particular fool out. Although if he'd run into the general who he's learned also cooks, he wouldn't have been disappointed.]

Sake. I discovered this liquor recently and I'm in the mood to share.

[He turns each of the bottles so Kexing can see them easier. One is straight and the other is a plum flavored sake.

Should there be concerns that the Immortal wants to share something?]

Get us a bowl of nuts too.

You look like the guy who makes fish soup well.

[He pours the plum sake into both bowls and pushes one toward Wen Kexing.]

(( He pulls up a chair and plops down across from Baiyi, still wondering what he really wants. ))

Other than an incident with a door getting knocked down... things have been fine.

[He smirks and breathes a laugh at that. It's much easier to brush that situation off now that he has an apology from Zishu and is healed from his injuries.]

[He lifts his bowl in cheers to Kexing and then takes a long drink from it. They were at least going to drink these two bottles plus whatever else is on hand, the old man is certain.]

I'm going to go traveling for a while. I've warned Xie Wang not to come near the manor.

[Has he? That makes the immortal feel oddly better for reasons he can't explain and chooses not to think about.

He shrugs as if it doesn't matter, but his posture shifts to more subdued.]

If telling you I'm needing to travel for a while isn't a good enough reason, then we can keep talking about the liquor.
