"Well, the truth is that I can't most of the time. For Henry, for example, there are others around who have traits like him so I'd never know it was him. But he wears a dahlia in his lapel every single day for me. So that way I always know who he is. Others do similar things for me, wearing a specific color or item every time they know they'll see me so I'll be able to recognize them."
So the consistency of those things was very much like how others had the consistency of faces. Only his was with things that people wore to help him out. It was something that he greatly appreciated beyond measure.
"With my condition I can have trouble telling animals apart and I can get lost really easily as well. So having some small gesture like that has been helpful. Even just having someone tell me who they are as soon as they see me is good."
