Because he liked to make sure that Kinn's family was taken care of, Silvio had a habit of sniffing around Yokohama to try and have their backs. He couldn't do it all the time since he didn't live here but he could still do his best. Which was what he was here for right now and in the process he caught wind of Porsche near him.

Smiling, he decided to head over toward him instead. Might as well say hi, right?

Lifting a hand, he gave a small wave. "Hey. Wasn't expecting to run into you today but figured I should say hi. How's it going, Porsche?"

After closing the door to the shop he'd just left and turning at the sound of the familiar voice, Porsche smiled. The werewolf from the party. "Silvio, hey," he greeted in return. "It's going well. Better than I'd hoped for really. How have you been?"

The leather shop he'd just left had been a surprisingly good find and was, apparently, well versed in custom orders. If the holster he'd commissioned met his standards, then he'd be happy to seek them out for other work.

"Bit of a rough full moon but they usually are." It was the story of his life really. The best he could do was just manage what he could with them and recover after. Unless he miraculously got a pack... Or his best friend.

Neither of those were likely to happen so he'd manage.

A sniff in the air made him tilt his head. "Leather shop?"

It took Porsche a moment to understand what the other man meant about the full moon then remembered. Would it be rude to ask questions about it? Maybe, so he erred on the side of caution and let it alone. If he'd learned nothing else under Chan's training, it was that saying less was often the better option.

Grinning, Porsche nodded. "Yeah. A few days after New Year's a box showed up with my gun from my world. But, sadly, not the holster. But leather is leather and after some long discussions, I think I can get one made." He laughed. "Which will make things much much better ... safer."

Silvio could smell the hesitation from him. Hear it in the sound of his heart. It made him smile but he let him move on with the talk of the gun first. "Smart. You never know what dangers are around. Better to have protection than none at all."

And then he nodded toward him. "You can ask me anything you want, by the way. I don't mind answering your questions."

"See? That was my thought exactly. So yeah the gun. And whatever else I can lay my hands on and learn how to use. And I guess there are magic weapons too?" He shook his head. "It's all a little insane."

He paused for a beat then took a breath and gave a little laugh. "Was I that obvious? I wouldn't want to be impolite but if you sure?" Another small pause. "What's it like? Being able to change into another form, I mean."

"To be fair most wouldn't be able to tell. The rest of my senses are just insanely good these days to make up for my eyes."

Silvio laughed softly but then he paused so he could really think about the question. What was it like, huh? "It's freedom for me. Whenever I shift it's like I become part of the world. There's nothing like being able to run around and feel the air move through my fur. When I was changed it was like I found a part of myself I didn't know was lost."

Well of course the first person that Riley was going to call when he found a new place with some art supplies was Huaisang. They barely knew each other but he was always ready to make friends with someone new. Especially someone with a shared interest. Besides! Huaisang should be shown all the places he found as he found them!

Okay, maybe it didn't help that he was currently standing outside a shop looking for someone he'd only gotten a text from... But he was still willing to wait until he figured out how his new best friend was.

Because clearly that was their destiny. To be best friends.

With each day, Huaisang made the attempt to explore new areas of both Kyoto and Yokohama. Understanding this new world was of great importance to him.

But very close second to that was building friendships. He had ever been a social person and that was not likely to change simply because he'd been transplanted in a country that was not his own.

With less difficulty than he might have thought, Huaisang found the shop and standing there was his newest friend, Riley. Waving exuberantly, he called out, "Riley-xiong! I found you!"

Waving back to him, he trotted over to him, practically bouncing on his toes. There was a bright smile on his face as he pointed to the place behind him.

"You're going to love this place. When I poked my head inside I knew I had to call you to come too. The paints there have such a beautiful variety of color that I'm sure you'll love them."

Reaching out without thinking about it, he took his friend's hand to pull him with him inside, eager to show him all the paint supplies.
