Maglor eyes the flick and his smile turns a little teasing.

"Good ears, I see."

He is still not looking forwards to whatever he's going to get, but at least he is assured most people don't mind their changes.

"You certainly could give some of the hobbit matrons a run for their money in the hospitality stakes!" He follows him cheerfully.

"Mm. It is one benefit of the magic of this world." And the manifestation of the bond he has with Xingchen. But no, he has no problem with this shape he's been gifted.

Zichen ducks his head a little at the gentle teasing though. "My master believed it was only good form to make sure those who came to our temple would be well cared for. Xingchen and I agree, and so have extended that practice here."

"That is a fine practice." Maglor smiles.

"Doubtless, you have warmed many hearts with such a gentle welcome!"

He leaves for just long enough to fetch the pot of tea and two cups, then sets them down beside the sweet cakes. He pours for his guest first before himself after taking a seat, glad for the distraction of serving.

"The students who come here to learn do seem to appreciate it."

Maglor accepts his cup with a smile, warming his hands on the ceramic as he takes an appreciative sniff.

"Have you many, these days? Ah, but this smells lovely, Zichen."

The outside air still has a pointed chill, though Zichen's core is strong enough it doesn't bother him. Especially when his home is so warm.

But he has always appreciated a good cup of tea, and also sniffs at his cup to make sure it's as it should be.

"Those who keep coming back day after day are enough. There are some who only occasionally come, and more to practice their own forms in a safe space." And are obviously just as welcome.

He smiles with shy pleasure, small and contained as always. "I am glad it is to your liking."

"That is well." He hums. "I am glad that you have found those who will learn from you."

He smiles at him. "Well, I hope the honeycakes suit! I didn't know if you were a sweet tooth, so... please enjoy!"

[tobrushawaysnow]

"As am I," he answers. "It was always a dream of Xingchen's and mine. Now we have it." And each other. How things should have gone. Oh, it's not exactly the same. They're not able to do this back home, with how things had gone.

But here they can. It's enough for now.

Zichen ducks his head a little. "While I do not, I am curious to taste them. And I am sure Xingchen would enjoy them."

[bythewaves]

"I am glad for you."

He smiles and nudges the plate in his direction. "I made enough - you can save some for Xingchen later."

[tobrushawaysnow]

"Thank you," he says softly.

"Then I insist you have some too," he returns and reaches to take a piece.

"You say that as if I haven't been sampling the wares as I made them!" He smiles, but does take one as well.

[tobrushawaysnow]

"That is the joy of cooking or baking," he answers lightly and nibbles on his treat. It really is rather sweet, but...

"It is delicious," he decides. "Xingchen will surely love this gift."

Maglor beams, pleased that Zichen likes it.

"Ah, that is well! I am glad. I have the recipe too, if you wished to learn it for yourself."
