A long sigh escaped him and though Kim couldn't see it wrapped up in Will's arms as he was, Will's face softened and he looked more like his usual care-free self.
"So take the time you need to learn to trust yourself, but don't cut us out, okay? None of us are perfect and misunderstandings and missteps are bound to happen. But as long as we all talk to each other and are willing to give each other a little grace, everything will be fine."
Will pulled back a little and tipped Kim's chin up so he could look him in the eyes. That same hand thumbed away the tears. It seemed strange to see because what he knew of Kim was his strong, tough exterior. Not that he didn't think Kim was a softy under all that, but ut was just strange to see him sad like this.
"I'll let you in on a little something, okay? Just because we're Fae doesn't mean we're all sunshine and rainbows. There's dark and there's light in people; usually more of one than the other. That's just a fact. And it's not one that scares me or Riley." Will offered him such a warm smile, then pulled him back against his chest so he could cry more if he needed or just rest there a while.
"Oh, my sweet, sweet Kim. You're so worried about us. I don't care about your past other than in the sense that it made you who you are. I feel comfortable saying Riley doesn't care either. If you want to change, change. I you don't, don't. You can absolutely use this weird little place we've found ourselves as a second chance. And if that's what you want, I'll support that. And if it's not? I'll support that, too."
