[ Mid-winter is not the time to be taking vehicles out on the road, but Daigo is... so exceedingly bored. He's an accomplished man with high drive, and the lack of work to do is gotten to him. A week or two tasting the local food and introducing himself to the neighborhood was a fun vacation. Now, he really needs something to do, and possibly holing up with a DIY project is the best answer he's going to come across on the fly.

So, he's meandered in to a mechanic's shop to ask around for fixer uppers and other hobbyists. He spends a little time asking about the steampunk mechanisms of the local vehicles, and leaves with a beat up engine manual and a phone number to call. ]

[ Spinner is an avid people watcher. It is a skill he acquired while fugitive across the badlands and into the capital. He could not let himself be recognized, he had to be very careful in what way he accepted assistance, and more often determined his own path to success. All from a little listening and learning about the people around him. The stakes are much less fraught here, but the mechanism of learning is the same. He jots little coded things in a notebook, taking note of what could be researched further.

In his studies, he observes Thanatos. Ghostly, yellow eyes. Spinner sips his coffee, checks the tally of how many times he's seen this one, and then flicks his eyes up again. He's intrigued by the god's quiet poise in watching the tide of life in front of him, but he does so openly unlike Spinner who sits here appearing to have total indifference. Hm.

Spinner gets up and goes to plop himself down next to Thanatos with a wearying sigh and a haphazard sprawl of legs. Don't mind him, bud, he's just a slacking dayworker looking for somewhere to chill out for a few minutes. ]
