Cold and Clean and White, Shining Diamond Bright
⌛ Who: Kokoro and Everyone That Loves Not Dying from Heat
⌛ What: An unseasonably snowy day
⌛ When: July 3rd
⌛ Where: A Park in Tokyo
⌛ Warnings: N/A until they are
[The whole business with people (like her) being kidnapped and forced into bondage against their will sucked. Anyway, Kokoro wanted to forget all that, even if the tattoo around her arm wouldn't come off. (She'd tried to freeze it off, but nothing worked when you were immune to the cold.) Anyway, the summer in Tokyo was oppressively humid and hot, enough to make the yuki-onna want to cry and figure out a way to run to Hokkaido.
So the next best thing would have to be implemented. The extra energy she'd received through kizuna was more than enough for her to do this and also not need emergency kisses. A cloud appeared over the park she'd chosen, as she transformed into her full yuki-onna form, blue fingertips and lips and all floating white hair. Snow began to fall from the clouds as the temperature in the park dropped from oppressively hot to chilly, to nice and cold, just like she needed it.
With the extra kizuna, she could freeze more than 100 yards of the small park, further than she'd ever been able to before. That finished, Kokoro sat down on a blanket and picked out her favorite onigiri from a basket she'd brought along with her. Now all that was left was to let everyone know:]
As promised, I've got a lovely snow day for all of us who are melting from the heat. Please come to the park I've indicated on the map I've made! Let's have a nice day!

[Kokoro motioned to her very chilly-looking self.]
I don't normally look like this, though. I'm Amamiya.
no subject
Kujo. [...] Or Jotaro, I don't really care. [no one calls him Kujo anymore outside of like, teachers]
How did you make all of this? [he will be . . . vaguely nice, look at him trying]
no subject
Kujo-san, then. I'm a yuki-onna.
[She pointed to her feet,] I feel like I have to emphasize I'm not a ghost, if that's something you worry about.
no subject
I'm not worried. [huh, a living yuki-onna. That was actually kind of interesting] I doubt you'd tell me what you were if I had a reason to be concerned.
no subject
[Except the part where he looked like he'd give her a hard time. Definitely someone she'd have to keep at least an arm's length from if she wanted to escape.]
You also wouldn't have hesitated the moment that you saw me sitting here. So, I think I'm safe.
no subject
You're safe. [an easy shrug] If you aren't dangerous, then I don't care if you're yuki-onna or not. It's none of my business.
no subject
[Kokoro shrugged.]
I haven't seen many guys taller than me around here. How tall are you, anyway?
no subject
He's used to the question but he sighs anyway] 195 centimeters. It runs in my family. [and definitely not the Japanese side]
no subject
[Kokoro looked in awe, or maybe relieved, that she wasn't the only Japanese anomaly running around Nippon.]
Mine, too, my dad is about 192 centimeters? Or thereabouts. He just says they make them bigger in Hokkaido.
[But considering her accent, she seems to use Tokyo dialect. Kokoro shrugged and stood up, offering him one of the onigiri.] It's nice to see someone that's my size running around. Here, take one. They're vegetarian, so I hope you don't mind that.
no subject
He gives the onigiri a long look before he takes one] Thanks.
[...]
My mom is American, all of the men on her side are tall. But her and my father are average.
no subject
That explains the eyes, then, too. You don't see a lot of Japanese people with blue eyes. At least, not unless they're contact lenses.
no subject
They're not. [hmm, lets turn this around] You said your dad was from Hokkaido - is that where you're from?
no subject
No, I was born in Tokyo, Higashi ward? Are you familiar with the area?
[Even in Jotaro's time, it's known for its arty atmosphere.]
It actually drives them nuts that I have a Tokyo accent. My mom's from Kyoto.
no subject
[he hasn't been to Higashi often, of course, but he knows of it.
It isn't an amused sound, exactly, but it could be mistaken for one] That must be something. [he considers the onigiri in his hand, thoughtful, before taking a bite]
It's like that in my family sometimes, but with English.
no subject
[Kokoro grinned at him and ate another onigiri.]
It varies if we're visiting her family or his, but it's sort of nice? Like... organized chaos. My dad isn't often around, though. He's a wildlife photographer. Technically my mom is too, but she's been a housewife for a while.
no subject
["organized chaos" gets him to quirk a faint grin] Organized chaos is a good way to describe it. Usually it's my grandfather yelling at everyone to speak English.
[another bite of onigiri] . . . my dad's a jazz musician, so he's not around here. Mom stays home, too.
no subject
[Kokoro laughed a little and finished off her onigiri.]
Frankly, I was taken in the middle of my third-year exams and I'm terrified that I'm going to forget everything I studied by the time I get back. What about you?
no subject
[god, school. He makes a brief face]
I'm a third year, too. [he sighs, because he has not given it much thought but now - ] Second term just ended, but I missed the last half of it because I was traveling.
no subject
[Who misses a whole part of the school term? Suspect!]
I know my private school had a policy that was really strict for third years. Is yours the same way?
no subject
[he shakes his head] It's public school, so they're not as strict. As long as you get the work in.
no subject
[She laughed a little again. It was nice to talk to someone her own age and with similar experience (and he was tall! A third blessing!), and not have it be weird, or have to overexplain what was obvious and natural.]
Did you do any sports? You look like you'd be in maybe...
[She walked around him, considering.] Kendo? Aikido?
[He also looked like one of those old fashion delinquents, but he wasn't peppering his words with those very obvious rude phrases...] Looks like you'd be aces at both of those.
no subject
[he finishes off the onigiri as she starts circling him, eyebrows raising just slightly. She isn't like the annoying girls at school, who flutter around him asking questions and "Jojo this" and "Jojo that".
He finally shrugs at her question, brushing off his hands]
Track, a few years ago. But I don't do any sports now.
no subject
I was the captain of the girls' volleyball team at my school, but I had to retire because of exams. But it was super fun. I still have a really good spike, though. Have you see the dragon-human looking guy? I pass him almost every morning when I take a run.
[She finished circling her new friend and smiled at him.] So if you'd ever like to exercise together, let me know.
no subject
[he's a delinquent but one who turns in his work, like the nerd he really is]
You mentioned volleyball - you must have some advantage on the other players. [because she's tall. He nods] Do you mean Genbu?
[how do you talk to girls when they don't annoy you] I don't exercise.
[...
...
...] . . . but I get up early. Maybe I'll see you.
no subject
[She nods eagerly.]
Yeah! He's really nice, we met up at a festival not too long ago. So maybe you'll see us both in the morning.
