⌛ Who: Yu Mingye and Runyu
⌛ What: Easing the Mind
⌛ When: After this conversation
⌛ Where: Runyu's Place
⌛ Warnings: TBD
Yu Mingye did not make this into a habit. When he'd played for Xingchen it had been because the man wanted to hear it. Had wanted to hear it since before Xingchen had found a way to give him back his arm. An arm that he was still strengthening. Xingchen had been the first to ever step into his personal space. That, in itself, had been weird to him. No one did that. Xiao Xingchen did.
Now? He was heading off towards the address that Runyu had given him. Just walk in. Who did that? He could easily slip through the shadows and in through the window. Instead, comes through the front door and shuts it behind him. Runyu was definitely courting danger allowing him just to walk right in like that, even if he's no danger to his newfound friend.
"Love what you did with the place," he teases.

The park was a pretty vast place and would give them some much needed space. Though, he's almost wondering why it would be that simple. It couldn't be, could it? However, he was already giving Runyu the benefit of the doubt and custody of himself. Well, partial custody. That was still mildly amusing to him.
"Seems fair enough to me."
He finishes his tea and places his xiao at his waist before standing, stretching, and watches the other for a moment," Coming?"
no subject
"I wouldn't miss it," he declared as they entered the hallway, his steps easily falling in line with the man next to him.
no subject
"I would hope not," he teases slightly before leading him away from the house and off towards the park. The place would always remind him of when Xingchen helped him regain his arm, but that was neither here nor there.
"How big can you make the barrier?"
no subject
Which didn't answer the question while also answering it at the same time. Runyu gave him an amused look but still waited for the answer to his question. After all, it would be easier on both of them that way.
no subject
"Big enough that it'll keep people from getting hurt or stumbling in where they shouldn't be."
no subject
So once they were close enough to a nice big space with no one around, he stepped forward. From him came a blue energy that then spread out around them, almost ripping like it was water. Spreading wider and wider, they soon were standing in the middle of a wide space with plenty of room above them as well.
Turning to face him, Runyu rested an arm behind him as well as one before him.
"Is this big enough?"
no subject
"It's big enough. Nothing can get out?"
no subject
After all, he was an Immortal. More than that, he was actually very powerful. He didn't really have the arrogance to say he was the strongest of his kind alive but he knew that there were things he could accomplish that others couldn't.
This, for example.
no subject
"It'll work."
The barrier, itself, was weird to be in, but it would definitely come in handy.
"The dark energy isn't my only weapon."
no subject
Returning his gaze to him, he gestured for him to continue. Obviously he was content to stay where he was, clearly seeing no danger for himself despite being the only one who could get hit here.
"I would like to see it."
no subject
The weapon, itself, seems to come out of nowhere. Or it's possible that it comes out of the dark energy itself. The shape of it looking exactly like a crescent moon, if it wasn't a scimitar it would probably look harmless. Or like a mortal's boomerang.
no subject
"It's beautiful. The design work on it is so intricate."
no subject
"It comes apart in a few different pieces too," he tells him, smile there, even as he throws the scimitar and it comes apart. Each piece of the scimitar going in different directions before he pulls it back to himself with the dark energy.
no subject
"Would you like something to aim for? I can summon something for you to throw it toward if you would like to show off what it can do more."
no subject
"Only if it's not a stationary target."
no subject
With a sweep of his arm, he spread it wide to the side then closed his eyes. Soon shards of ice were appearing around him, about twenty of them. When his eyes opened, he locked his gaze on the other man then let them fly toward him.
They were hardly stationary now and, though he was not aiming to harm him, he was giving something for Mingye to fight again. So he could really show him his powers.
no subject
He gives the other a bit of a smirk before focusing on the ice shards before him. His speed is used to dodge them, a blur before the other man. Mingye allows himself to fall into his element and almost ignores that Runyu is even there.
Dark energy is used against a few before his crescent moon scimitar is tossed out and it separates to slam into ice shards. Of course, the dark energy pulls it right back to him in one piece.
If one of those shards gets him, he doesn't truly notice. He's too used to pain, but he's also enjoying himself and in his element.
no subject
There was an elegance to the weapon. More than that, there was a swiftness to how Mingye moved. The dragon couldn't help but to enjoy the motions, how there was a beauty to it.
It was only when the last shard was finally destroyed that Runyu's hand stopped moving, settling at his waist. "You are truly connected with your weapon and you have a good control over the energy that you use. Though I'm sure you've trained hard you also have a talent to how you fight."
no subject
Even after that, he's still full of energy and allows his scimitar to twist and twirl in the air. "You can take it and look if you wish." He didn't mind the other checking out his weapon. It wasn't like he was too worried over anything happening.
"I've worked hard to perfect myself."
no subject
Runyu moved forward then now that there was no longer a combat situation. Not that he'd ever been in danger in the first place but that hardly mattered. It was always better to be careful in order to respect a fighter.
"I don't really carry an special weapon anymore. But it always honors me when someone is willing to show me their own."
no subject
"I didn't mind showing you," he tells him. "Do we want to stay out here or head back inside?" Staying 'out here' could even easily mean in their little bubble. He didn't really care one way or another what they did.
no subject
Dropping the barrier, Runyu held his hand out to Mingye. There was a smile on his lips that said he was about to be up to something. Which, really, probably wasn't that far from the truth.
no subject
How was it that he kept running into tactile people? He still found Runyu's abilities interesting, though. Mingye also finds that he likes that smile too. Seeing as he's curious what the other is up to, he reaches out and takes his hand.
no subject
"Would you like more tea?"
no subject
"I'd love more tea. Also? That is a very convenient way of transportation. Pretty quick."
