[Kaeya caught sight of the second cup appearing in his vision followed shortly by the pair of arms wrapping around his middle. The warmth that settled behind him was welcoming, even if he berated himself for even needing it. He kept his fave on the table, but he pulled his hands from his ears and rested his arms against Diluc’s anyway.]

Hey. Did I wake you?

[He never experienced thunderstorms with this frequency before, but he supposed if this land was going to resemble Inazuma, the storms would come with it. He sighed softly. He missed Mondstadt on days like this.]

No, you didn't.

[He curls himself slightly over Kaeya's back as more blue streaks flush through his hair with the proximity between them. He coaxes Kaeya to sit up so he can press a soft kiss behind his ear, and gods it's so much easier to comfort him when he isn't second-guessing everything he does.]

Hard to sleep through this.

[Diluc takes hold of the edges of the blanket and bundles Kaeya up in it, resting his chin against the other man's shoulder.]

You don't have to deal with this on your own, Kae.

[The kiss made him shiver lightly, but it felt nice. Everything about this felt nice when he wasn’t second guessing things and wondering if something would go wrong. He let himself be coaxed up from the table, sighing softly as he leaned back into Diluc’s embrace and helping get the blanket around the both of them. He sighed softly.]

Old habits die hard.

[He laid his head against Diluc’s.]

And I thought you were sleeping.

I was, but it's fine if it's you.

[He might have been a little grumpy if he was woken up, but given the circumstances he could hardly have stayed mad about it. He wouldn't have.

Diluc settles under the blanket with him and hums, resting against his back though not with his full weight. A flash of light streaks across the sky outside and he hugs Kaeya back against him before the thunder that follows.]

I'll stay here.

You sure?

[Managed to get out before the thunder hit and flinched lightly. Diluc holding him helped a lot more than he realized and he kept his eyes shut, curled up a little until his heart seemed to calm. He relaxed once it did and he sighed. While he wasn’t as unsure about things, Kaeya did want to do something that he didn’t get to do before when Diluc willingly help him during the storms.

He tentatively wiggled around, turning so he could face Diluc while essentially sitting in his lap. It was far more intimate than they had been as of yet, so Kaeya hoped he hadn’t been too forward just now but being in the redhead’s embrace was something he had longed for. For literal years, if he were honest.

He pressed his face against Diluc’s neck, lips kissing softly.]

You can shove me off if this is too much.

[He stiffens minutely when Kaeya first presses in close to him like that, though it's more surprise than any kind of dislike of the change in position. After all, he hadn't stopped him from moving to begin with. The tension disappears almost immediately and he huffs out a gentle chuckle.]

I'll keep that in mind.

[It's not too much yet. He lifts a hand to work it into Kaeya's hair and shifts his head back to look at him, running his thumb across the corner of his eyepatch. For a moment he lets their foreheads rest together, then tips his head to press a soft kiss to the other man's lips.

Still such a strange, exciting thing.]

But it's fine. Don't worry so much. [A quiet sound of amusement does leave him as he immediately realises the hypocrisy of those words, but he leans in for another kiss.]

I won't push you away.

[He didn't answer, because at this point Kaeya was just resigned to worrying anyway. It would be awhile before it really sunk in, that this new development was here for the long term and that Diluc wasn't going to suddenly change his mind. Venti urged him to believe in Diluc. Kaeya wanted to.

So, he would have to make an effort to do so.]

Thanks.

[He returned the soft kiss, leaning into Diluc's hand for a moment. But a flash of light practically exploded in his vision and nearly dove right into Diluc's chest. He even shifted his legs to lightly wrap around the redhead's waist. Sorry Diluc, Kaeya was a starfish tonight.]

[Diluc makes a soft noise of surprise when Kaeya presses in against him so suddenly, but wraps both arms around him and curls one hand over his head as thunder booms loudly directly over the house. He shifts to prop his chin on the top of Kaeya's head and rubs a hand down his back.]

I'm right here, Kae.

[There's still that guilt of knowing that on no small level, he caused this. Kaeya wouldn't be so afraid of the storm if not for what had happened between them that night. At least he can be here now to comfort him through it.]

You're safe with me, all right?

[There was a reason he was face down before. He huffed against Diluc’s shoulder, embarrassed still even as he enjoyed the comfort his boyfriend (wow that was still weird to think, weird but great) gave him. He nodded against the warm, broad shoulder.]

I know. Just wish my brain would realize that.

[He tried to relax in Diluc’s hold, shifting a little again to get more comfortable before settling.]

Sorry if this isn’t comfortable though. We can move if you want.

It's fine...

[A little awkward but not uncomfortable. Kaeya is all long limbs and slender muscle against Diluc's broader, slightly shorter frame though the difference in height isn't enough to make it difficult for him to tuck the other man against him. He pushes his hand into Kaeya's hair and scratches gently at the nape of his neck with his fingertips.

It's... nice. This is nice.]

Do you want to come back to my room with me?

[They can stay out here, he doesn't mind that, but... he makes the offer regardless.]

[Kaeya made a soft considering noise at that. The fingers against his neck and in his hair felt nice too. It really was nice to be able to do this. Even if the circumstances weren’t the most favorable. He sighed and then eventually nodded. He wiggled his feet for a second and then pulled back to lay a soft kiss against Diluc’s lips.]

I kind of don’t want to move but… the bed would be more comfortable.

[They could cuddle properly too. Hopefully before another bout of thunder startled him.]

Mm.

[There's another kiss, a little warmer and deeper than the previous soft ones, pressed to Kaeya's lips before Diluc shifts back and lets the other man move off his lap. He gets up and pulls Kaeya up to his feet, wraps the blanket around him again with a small smile and takes his hand to lead him across the house.

As they enter the room the Pyro Vision at the side of the bed flares slightly and the lamp beside it lights with a soft glow. Diluc sits down on the edge of the bed - a Western style one that he had brought in - and then scoots back with his fingers still intertwined with Kaeya's.]

Come on.

[Once he's on the bed Diluc doesn't waste much time in kissing him again, still keeping it relatively chaste.]

[Kaeya was already feeling cold now that he was out of Diluc's embrace. But he laughed quietly when the blanket was wrapped around him and he was led back to Diluc's room. Their tea was forgotten but Kaeya didn't mind as he padded across the house, holding the redhead's hand with a small smile on his face.

He caught sight of the Pyro vision lighting the lamp and his smile widened a little. So convenient. His own room had a futon for now, although he was going to switch it with a Western bed soon enough. He just hadn't had the chance yet. He nodded and climbed onto the bed, sitting beside him and returning the kiss. He deepened the kiss himself this time, wanting to seek that warmth that he was already missing.]

[There is an odd excitement in this. Of taking Kaeya back to his room and kissing him like this. Diluc is still getting used to what they have now and the shift in his mind that was needed to fully accept it, but for as much as they are taking it one step at a time what he wants right now is this. This closeness.

Perhaps that's selfish of him. Perhaps he doesn't care if it is.

He draws Kaeya in close, closing his eyes as the kiss deepens and parting his lips, leaning in to the heated press of tongues and teeth and he has his hand in the other man's hair again before he realises what he's doing.]

Kae... [Diluc murmurs without realising, the sound of his own voice sending a little shiver up his spine.

He tips the man abruptly down onto his back, leaning up over him and touching the side of his face.]

Can I take it off? [The question is soft but earnest.] I want to see you.

[It was definitely difficult, to want to tread carefully and yet letting himself be selfish. Kaeya was a bit torn, but it seemed Diluc didn't mind as the kiss deepened still and he found himself sighing contentedly as he tasted the other.

Suddenly, he was on his back and he found himself panting softly as he looked up at Diluc, cheeks flushed lightly in soft surprise. His lips pursed a little at the question, it wasn't like Diluc didn't know what was underneath. But this... this felt different. Different and yet somewhat similar to that day at the hospital.

He nodded so minutely, just a slight jerking motion.]

Yes. You can... I trust you, Luc.

I know.

[And he doesn't make a ceremony out of it, just pushes his fingers under the strap holding it around Kaeya's head and slips it upwards and off. He sets the patch on the bedside table beside the still softly glowing Pyro Vision, then looks back at the other man with a smile.

His thumb rubs on the faint crease left against Kaeya's cheek by the patch resting there, and he plants a kiss against his right eyebrow.]

That's better. [Diluc says, and he pushes Kaeya's hair back off his face. When he kisses him again it's with his hand cupped up against the side of Kaeya's face, pushed a little ways into his hair.

The sky outside rumbles, but Diluc barely notices.]

[Kaeya stayed still for Diluc taking off the eyepatch. It was simple move, the eyepatch itself one of his lighter ones to sleep in as he was wont to do out of habit most days. He blinked a little at the sudden light though, even if it was a soft glow from the Pyro vision.

He closed his eyes at the kiss, reaching up to gently run his fingers through the red mane, mindful of the inevitable tangles there. He smiled into the kiss, but the rumbling did make his heart race and his breath quickened. He pulled away to wait for the rumble to get louder, closing his eyes in anticipation and with pursed lips. There was a mumbled curse when it did finally hit.]

Wish the sky would shut up...

[The rumble does get louder, rolling for a few seconds before it quiets again. The rain continues falling against the roof and windows and Diluc looks down at the other man's face, a softly concerned frown knitting his brow.]

Just concentrate on me.

[Easier said than done, sure, but he thinks he can give Kaeya something to concentrate on. He leans down into another kiss, and this time his hand lightly wanders.

Diluc's palm runs up the outside of Kaeya's thigh and then the inside of the other, coming to a stop near the top of his leg. He hasn't been so bold up until now.]

[Kaeya looked a bit confused at that, but it soon melted when Diluc kissed him against. He wasn't sure he could just concentrate on Diluc, but at the same time, it would probably be easier if he let himself get distracted. The fact that Diluc's very warm hand was running up his thigh certainly helped.

He sighed quietly, he let his legs spread a little for that wandering hand and when it stopped, he made a protesting sound that was muffled in the kiss. He reached down to urge that hand to keep going. Please?]

[He hesitates when Kaeya touches his hand, poised at the top of his thigh and breaking the kiss to look down at him. Kaeya is... so lovely like this, with that soft flush on his face and his mismatched eyes, looking up at him like that, and he--...

Diluc just...

He deftly loosens the tie holding his shirt together and pushes the fabric apart, and his next kiss is a warm press of lips and a soft nip of teeth against the line of Kaeya's collar bone. There's a hint of urgency in it, but the hand that explores the warm, taut muscles of his chest and abdomen is still gentle.]

[Kaeya looked up at Diluc, his eyes searching in a way. Was this too forward? Perhaps it was, especially with his fear of the--

Oh.

He gasped softly when he felt cool air on his chest, teeth nipping his collarbone. Diluc's hand felt so warm against his chest, his nipples hardened from both the sudden exposure and from the shivers that touch brought. Was this really going to happen? It felt almost too soon but he couldn't find it in himself to stop Diluc.

He didn't want the other to stop. He tilted his head lightly, chin pressing against the top of the red hair as he murmured softly.]

Keep going.

[His other hand continued to brush through the tangled locks, his own sense of urgency showing even as he was careful not to snag any knots along the way.]

Mm. [Diluc murmurs a soft affirmation, eyes lowered and brow knit in nervous concentration for a moment before the expression clears.

He doesn't want to stop, but he also knows that it's... far too soon for everything they might want to eventually do together. They're still working out how they feel, and he doesn't want to... complicate matters even more than they already are. If they go too far they can't take it back.

But there's plenty he can do without going all the way right now. He did say he would distract him.

Diluc trails his kisses gradually downwards until he closes his mouth over a pert nipple, pinching the hardened nub softly between his teeth. The other gets attention with the pad of his thumb, circling around and then rubbing over it.]

[Kaeya closed his eyes, panting once more when Diluc's mouth closed over a nipple. Hot, wet heat and he was moaning softly. His chest hitched when he felt the teeth and Diluc's other hand join the other nub. This was hardly the first time for this kind of stimulation but with Diluc it felt wonderful. His fingers buried themselves into the other man's hair, tugging gently but encouragingly for more.]

Ah... Diluc...

[It was certainly a handy distraction, there wasn't much of a flinch when he saw the lightning flash. His mind was solely focused on the tongue and teeth on his chest.]

[Those sounds, soft as they are, shoot through him like an electric shock. He's been intimate with other people in Nippon but nothing can quite compare to this.

Warm suction draws the nipple up between his teeth so he can bite it gently again, then he abandons it to the warm air of the bedroom to give the same treatment to the other. Then he's kissing him again and gods he's so beautiful, especially without the patch covering his face. It's still a slightly startling thing to see but Diluc thinks he can easily grow used to it.

He skims a hand down the centre of Kaeya's stomach and pushes his fingers beneath the waistband of his pyjama pants, following the line of his hip but not touching him - not yet.]

Can I?

[It would have been embarrassing how fast he got hard just from this alone had it been anyone else. But with Diluc, he couldn't find it in himself to feel like that. It was nice and his body was reacting accordingly. His bottoms were becoming tight now as both the rumbling of the skies and the attack on his other nipple had him shivering lightly with another moan.

It was one thing after another it seemed, as Diluc kissed him once more. There was a very visible tent now as those fingers seemed to tease him at his pants. He nodded, looking up at Diluc with eyes that were now blown wide from both the low light and arousal.]

Please. [He couldn't help a soft quirk of his lips.] Don't leave me hanging now, Luc.
