Jiang Cheng's birthday month!
Who: Jiang Cheng and YOU
What: Catch All for November
When:No n-- november??
Where: All over. Home, Work, the park?
Warnings: TBA in thread subjects as needed.
[At the Jin Household]
His sister said soup and Cheng had all but run to go see her. He also wanted to show her that the magic of the land or the gods or whomever was in charge of the random gifts what he had received in time for his birthday: Zidian.
[Working at Sakuranbo]
Jiang Cheng is a server, not a performer. He brings drinks and food to the patrons and tries to avoid looking at the screens. His brother enjoys toying with him and making extra noise and motion just to embarrass him. He's a little grateful that the low lighting helps hide the perpetual flush on his cheeks. That is, until he sees his next table. Steeling himself, he strides forward, trying to keep professional as he introduces himself and questions about the order.
[Random park]
Who knew that learning how to ride a bicycle was going to be a bruising experience? Not him! Still cursing the little contraption out, Cheng finally gives into shedding his robes and keeping to the undershirt and pants so he doesn't get his clothing stuck in the spokes for the twentieth time. He sports a few scrapes here and there and has already cussed someone out for providing 'friendly advice.'
"If I wanted your opinion, I would have asked for it!"
[Wild Card]
Not limited to these things! If you want some random scene, let me know!

He smiled, wondering if he should say something or act as if nothing was wrong. "A-jie." Stepping in, he pulled her into an embrace, tucking her nicely against him as he tried to convey his comfort to her.

She hugs him back and gives a soft smile," A-Cheng."
no subject
"You and A-Ling are well?" Despite his birthday, he wants to make certain is family is not too lonely for the time being.
no subject
"We're doing well, A-Cheng. Adjusting to him being gone, but we'll get by."
no subject
"If ever you're in need of having the place filled with noise, I can always drag Wuxian here more often." The suggestion was genuine and with tender feelings. She did not have to maintain this house all by herself-but he was not going to offer the obvious, either. He still had his pride.
no subject
"Don't offer that, A-Cheng," she says softly. "Because I would rather this place always filled with noise than with silence." Don't offer something that isn't doable. Her brothers had lives outside of her, after all.
no subject
"You said there was soup?" He had to change the subject. The last thing Cheng wanted to do was get in a fight with Yanli. "They have the proper lotus here?"
no subject
"I did," she tells him with a soft smile. There would be no fight, even if he voiced himself, she wouldn't fight. Though, she'd have to remind herself to ask her brother about that a bit later, before he left for the night. "I don't know about proper lotus, but an equivalent to it. A-Xian didn't complain about it. So, it must be close enough."
Even as she says it she moves to the kitchen to grab two bowls in order to serve them. She'd save some for Jin Ling too and put it away for later.

"Did you want to order anything?" He asked in clipped tones, trying not to get too worked up over the whole thing.
He was failing, mind you.
no subject
"What would you suggest?" he nearly purrs.
no subject
"T-there's a hot pot that's the special for today. Beef in an onion broth."
Why the fuck is he acting like this?!
no subject
Huaisang smirks and nods. "I'll take that," he says and his eyes roam over Jiang Cheng again.
no subject
But Cheng doesn't leave then because Huaisang is giving him that look. "What? Something on my uniform?" Was there a stain he wasn't aware of? Annoyed, Cheng patted himself down, flushing in embarrassment that he was not clean. He didn't realize that Huaisang was implying that Jiang Cheng should be the main course and not the special. Which was the hot pot, not Jiang Cheng!
no subject
"How are you working here and still so innocent?" Huaisang laughs softly.
no subject
"Hot pot or not?"

Jin household
"Jiujiu!"
no subject
Here, he didn't have to acknowledge that his nephew was now sect leader. This young man was still his opinionated, spirited nephew. And his smile was broad for jin Ling, too. And he doesn't have to hide away his softer side, too.
"Be gentle with your hugs. No reason to break your elderly uncle's bones, now."
no subject
"Ahh, should I be worried about you breaking your own legs now?"
no subject
None the less, it was still good to see him here, still. As much as had other family and friends here, he was pleased that Jin Ling remained.
no subject
"Maybe, maybe not," he replies nonchalantly and hugs him tightly.
no subject
"Did you get taller again?"
no subject
"It's not been that long since you saw me."
no subject
When he was used to seeing Jin Ling most days, it had been torture on him to give the boy-young man space so he could discover his parents. And now Jin Ling lost his father again.
"We, you and me and your Uncle Wuxian...have a job to do." His voice lowered in an almost conspiracy fashion. "Your mother wants to return to her training."
