Open Catch-All (TDM Prompts)
⌛ Who: Runyu and the people who come across him
⌛ What: TDM prompts
⌛ When: Beginning of June
⌛ Where: Various locations
⌛ Warnings: Sexy things are happening in the Kexing thread now~
I. Starry Night - Pond
Times like this were peaceful for him. When he could stand at the edge of a pond like this and see the stars in the sky as well as the reflection of the water. It reminded him so much of quieter times before everything had changed in his life. When he was just the Night Immortal with his Dream Beast at his side. Before all the pain and suffering...so much caused by his own hand.
Embracing his element, he stepped forth onto the water, walking across the surface with only soft ripples following. Soon the dragon was several feet away from the shore and just looking up at the sky above him. He smiled softly as he did, a breeze softly stirring his hair.
Hearing someone behind him, he looked over his shoulder to see who had joined him.
II. Starry Night - Daytime Stalls
Curious about the stalls that appeared for the meteor shower, Runyu visited them during the day. The food looked good but he wasn't hungry and ignored it for the most part. The trinkets though? These had his attention. Little toys and hair pins and other accessories. He couldn't help but to smile as he looked them over, sometimes picking them up to inspect them before setting them aside.
It was like he was looking for just the right thing. Which was honestly true. He was looking for little gifts for his loved ones. Something special to give to them. They never asked for that but it still felt like something he wanted to do all the same.
Lifting up a pin, he hummed softly then looked at the person next to him. "What do you think?"
III. Starry Night - Meteor Shower
Once all the lights were out, he moved to where he could have a good view of the sky. The shower was stunning, much like the ones he would provide the Mortal Realm in the past. It brought a smile to his lips to watch it happen. "...beautiful."
Near him he heard whispers of which on the rainbow tails. For a second he considered it then shook is head as he looked to the sky again. There was nothing he wanted to wish for. Nothing that he felt he could deserve to wish for. It was better that all that remained in his own world. Unless he wanted to wish for Xufeng's happiness which he already knew his brother would have in the end with Jinmi and those beautiful children.
So, he was just content to watch instead. "I wonder who controls the night sky here..."

A simple brush of their hands should be enough to alert the dragon that it's Ouyang who moved so close beside him.
"Perhaps this place has its own Night Immortal."
no subject
"Perhaps. If so then they do beautiful work. It's not often one can manage to gather so many eyes to gaze upon the sky this way."
no subject
"A pity. The night sky is the most beautiful."
no subject
But, that was his past. This was his present. With Ouyang at his side. "They say that the rainbow ones grant wishes. Yet I have everything I want already. What about you, Ya'er?"
no subject
"I would wish for our continued happiness."
no subject
Perhaps that was what he would wish for as well. Something like that which could allow them to live their lives like this. Peaceful. Happy. But, he knew better than to do something like that when wishes could have consequences. "After everyone leaves I'll take you out onto the water so you can see the illusion of being surrounded by stars in its fullness."
no subject
Ouyang's eyes widen slightly in the darkness and a slow smile curls his lips. "I would like that very much."
no subject
"Walk normally. We won't sink below," he promised him as he started to walk them toward the center of the pond.
no subject
Even though he knew Runyu told the truth, he still gasps softly when the water holds his weight. He smiles broadly in the darkness, looking up to Runyu with nothing but awe on his face. The stars were even more beautiful in the center of the pond, where it seems like they are floating in the night sky itself; stars above and below.
no subject
"The water is so still it's like glass. You can see the same view above and below us. It's beautiful."
no subject
"Is this what it looks like in the heavens when you set the stars in place?"
no subject
"This is what it looks like. I would walk to the end of this platform then move the stars in the sky as needed."
no subject
"Do you miss it?"
no subject
But those days were long since past. He could think about the past but returning himself to it wasn't going to help anyone. Least of all him. He was who he was now because of all he'd been through and he had to accept that.
"I like that I can show you this though."
no subject
no subject
"You both share so much with me in return."
no subject
"I am in awe of you, Runyu."
no subject
Turning Ouyang to face him, he gazed at him fondly as he stroke his cheek. "I admire and adore you."
no subject
"All that I am is yours."
no subject
"All that I am is yours in return."
no subject
Ouyang reached up to trail his fingers over those shimmering scales, admiring the way the stars made them glimmer. Though he's not the most expressive of people, Ouyang is truly happy -- something he thought he would never feel. But he's hardly what one could call a romantic. Yet, this moment, them alone surrounded by stars took his breath away.
"Thank you for everything."
no subject
"Thank you as well. Without each other and Ye'er we would have fallen so far..."
no subject
no subject
"Always."
no subject
Living with Runyu and Mingye is the first time he's felt comfortable outside of his nomadic life. Being at the Four Season Manor gave him space to roam and train without straying too far from the people who made the place feel like home. Not only did they provide him with love and respect, but formed a support system on which Ouyang never doubted he could rely.
He ducked his head, then peered back up at the dragon with adoration. "The first time we kissed, I knew I wanted to be with you."
