• Four Seasons Manor – he lives here with Runyu and Mingye. He can be found helping out in the stables or on the training grounds.

• Hunting - he takes his horse through town to the outskirts and forested areas to hunt. He's now sporting a golden eagle to help with the hunt.

His whole body ached and was tired from the lessons that day but Riley had stayed behind to practice what he'd been taught anyway. Ouyang had said they were done and had walked off but the young Fae was determined to get this one move he'd struggled with for the whole of the lesson. It was something about his weight balance, he could feel that. After three and a half months, he'd learned to tell what was off when he was moving.

Still swinging it wrong, he sank his knees in the middle of the training grounds to close his eyes and breathe a moment. To go over it again and again in his head. He was panting hard and sweaty but he paid that no mind. He just had to figure it out.

He was focused enough to not hear that Ouyang had returned behind him.

Ouyang knew better than to get within melee range when someone wasn't expecting you. The last thing either of them wanted was an unexpected injury. So, he announced himself as he got closer.

"Take a rest. You'll get frustrated. I will show you again."

He didn't even wait for Riley to move off to the side of the field. He took a few steps away so he wouldn't be too close and drew his sword to take his stance.

"Like this."

He hadn't expected Ouyang to come back. And honestly his first instinct was to promise he wasn't going to be much longer. But then his teacher didn't scold him and instead went to show him the move again.

Swallowing down the instinct, Riley stayed put and watched the move again. He was so grateful for the patience and support for him to keep trying.

Doing as he was told, he kept resting and instead decided to ask questions. "When you start it looks like you're balanced on both feet evenly but you're not are you? I think that's where I'm going wrong. Every time I try it almost fall over."

Patience wasn't one of Ouyang's defining traits. Was this patience? Or was this respect from someone who was willing to exhaust himself to learn properly? He had great admiration for people who committed to whatever their pursuits were; especially if they were martial pursuits.

"Most of the weight is on my back leg," he explained, moving more slowly to Riley could, hopefully, see the shift in his weight. Perhaps if he were a bigger man it would be more obvious. "If someone tries to attack the foreleg, you shouldn't be overbalanced as easily when the weight is on the rear one. It also means you can move forward more easily."

Riley watched him and realized he could see it now. That was what he was doing wrong this whole time. His balance hadn't been right. It was actually a relief to see it in action and he was glad that he hadn't listened when he'd been told he was done for the day. Because he got to have this moment with his teacher.

"You can push off of it if the weight is on the back. Or swing the foreleg away more easily if it's in danger."

That made so much sense! No wonder it had never felt right! His balance had been wrong!

Harmony Garden was a place that Yanli enjoyed visiting. Though, she hadn't visited much lately due to her brother disappearing. She'd actively been trying not to think much on it and had thrown herself into work and taking care of her baby brother who was still there. However, she'd decided to head out for the day and venture off toward one of the places she did enjoy. On top of that it was possible she'd run into the very person she'd been teaching how to cook too.

So, when she gets there she gives a soft smile and allows herself to look around. She knows that she won't walk out without buying a few different herbs here and there. Though, when she spots one of the occupants that soft smile brightens a bit," Hello, Henry."

Henry didn't do nearly as much of the gardening as Gaura did, but he did help out. Which saw him taking a turn at watering some of the cold-blooming plants. He was too overdressed with his bulky cardigan and scarf to deal with the plants in the hothouse. Those darlings would get their attention a little later. He was just wandering through the nursery watering this plant and that and humming to himself when he heard a familiar voice.

He perked up and looked over to see his cooking teacher. A smile instantly turned his lips and he crossed over the nursery to greet her. "Miss Jiang, it's so nice to see you!"

To be honest? Henry looked like he would be ready for a trip to Gusu or Yiling. Both places were cold and his attire would work for them. It made her wonder what he would think of either place. Yunmeng didn't get as cold as either of those but the weather was nice until one had to deal with the heat. Even if it was a bit cooler near the waters of Lotus Pier. A place that she missed a bit but she was happy here in Nippon too. Things would, unfortunately, be different if her baby brother wasn't around.

"It's nice to see you too. How've you been?" He looked happy and that, to her, is all that mattered.

"I've been very well, thank you. And yourself?"

He's been keeping busy with his studies, as well as planning a Christmas party with his friend Riley. Being British, they both have a fondness for the holiday and wanted to celebrate with their friends and loved ones.

"I've been doing pretty good, focusing mainly on work."

That? It might not be the best thing to do but it was something that she did quite a bit. She has never actively celebrated Christmas. This? It was something that was new to her. Something that she didn't mind because it seemed the town enjoyed everything that was going on.

Those eyes do, however, watch him and she gives a soft smile. "How is your cooking coming along?"

They'd decided to stay in their place above the bar after closing up for the night because, well, they'd been horny and hadn't wanted to walk all the way back to the mafia compound. Plus it was a great way to be able to get rough without anyone knocking on their door out of worry or to tell them to shut up. And rough was what they had been. Repeatedly.

So the next morning it was no surprise that Pete was still sound asleep with his head buried under the covers. If Vegas was still in bed with him it would feel like an extra limb was sprawled over him. If Vegas had already gotten up and come back then he'd find that it was like there was something slithering under the covers.

Someone had grown a black panther tail during the night.

Oh no, Vegas was still very much in bed and very much cuddling his husband. Since they basically sleep in a tangle of limbs, having one strewn across him wasn't anything new. But something was off, even to his mostly asleep, still sex-addled brain. There were too many limbs for just two people. And this mysterious limb was warm and silken. Vegas finally had to scratch the itch that was bothering his mind and he groped blindly, still half-asleep, only to find...

Pete was so happy to keep sleeping. So very happy to just snooze away. It honestly would have stayed that way if Vegas hadn't yelled. Because he yelled, Pete had a knife in his hand out of nowhere and was sitting up straight with a hand on Vegas' chest to protect him and his blade facing the...nothing in the room. Blinking sleep from his eyes, he didn't notice the black ears sitting on top of his head.

Instead, he just focused on looking around until he realized nothing was there. Relaxing, he dropped the knife onto his lap so he could safely rub at his eyes and yawn.

"What's wrong?"

Vegas noticed the ears. He trailed his hand along the tail, ruffling the fur the wrong way, until his fingers brushed against Pete's skin.

"You're a fucking cat."

If felt so weird to have his fur ruffled the wrong way and he shuddered at the sensation. And then realized what he'd felt. Grabbing the covers, he suddenly yanked them up to look at his tail under there. It was anxiously flicking because, well, he was freaked out.

"What the fuck..." Logically he knew he could get kizuna changes. But that didn't make suddenly seeing that he had a tail any less weird.

• Pete's bar in Yokohama - he gets dragged there a lot by his boyfriend.
• He'll likely be spending more time visiting his new friend's nursery in the Western Kingdom, so if you're near Harmony Garden, you can run into Will.

• The woods and forests of the Western Kingdom - James was a hermit for many years before finding himself in Nippon, so he's doing his best to get set up in the woods. He's got some camping gear and (unbeknownst to him) someone helping him hunt.
• Around the Western Kingdom - going into town for supplies and such. Since he's only camping, he needs to buy stuff until he can get settled.
• Around Harmony Garden - Gaura offered to let him take some produce, so he'll be doing that. Feel free to notice him there.

After their initial encounter with Silvio in his wolf body, he'd become bolder in allowing James to see him. As a wolf, of course. He would come to drop something off and perhaps linger nearby for a bit before trotting off to his own campsite some distance away. He wasn't there to invade the man's privacy, just make it easier for him to get through the colder months until the man had proper shelter.

But there where a couple of nights where the wolf didn't appear at all for James. The full moon meant that he had to lock himself away with silver so he wouldn't hurt anyone. After all, he went from a wolf with a high sentience to one that was completely feral. No one should have to end up with a bite they didn't want.

Silver meant that the next day he was always weak. Two days of not eating were not easy on his body but he ignored the hunger in favor of catching a fat rabbit to bring to James instead.

Limping into the camp, he went to set the animal at his feet before turning with plans to limp off. He'd just wanted to make sure the man had extra meat. But with burns around his neck and all his legs, he needed to go rest. Even this small hunt had tired him out. Silver would always do horrifying things to his body. Probably more so because he always had a little bit already inside his eyes to begin with.

James was out organizing some things around the campsite when he happened to catch movement out of one corner of his eye. He noticed the wolf hadn't been around lately and hoped something hadn't happened to it. When he turned to look at him, he could clearly see that something had. James sucked a breath at the sight of the wounds and had to fight the urge to rush the wolf. He was, after all, a wolf not a domesticated animal.

"What happened to you?" he wondered aloud, more to himself than to the wolf.

The question made him pause. He hadn't expected the concern. Why? He really didn't know. Listening, he noted that the concern was very genuine though. As far as James knew he was just a wild animal. To have worry over an animal that in general was the sign of such a kind heart. Something he'd sensed already.

Hesitating a moment, Silvio finally decided he was just too tired to go right now. So he turned back to the man and ended up laying down with his eyes closed. A sign of him trusting James honestly. Then again, why wouldn't he? The man had been nothing but polite to him. In either form.

Seeing the wolf give so much trust, James canted his head. He had to fight the urge to walk closer, lest he startled the obviously injured animal. But he needed to get closer to examine the wolf to see if he needed help. James is no vet, but surely such people exist in this world, too.

"Can I come closer?" He doesn't know why he asked. It just seemed to be a way for him to alert the wolf where he was more than anything else.

His eyes didn't open because there was no point in him using them to track movement anyway. Instead, his ears shifted to the sound of the man's voice and then he let the tip of his tail flop a couple of times. He wouldn't hurt him if he came closer and wanted to look. Not that he had the energy anyway.

Besides it would put James' heart at ease to be able to look him over so he saw no reason to resist.
