He at least waited until Cheng had a bite before pointing to his own mouth. "Now me!" Feed him, Riley, aaah~

"It's delicious. And it keeps for a long time, right?"
Because knowing how to store food in the leans times is always a good idea. And the kimchi was something that he didn't think would become boring after a while. It could be easily dressed up with other things that were on hand.
A small flush happened when he witnessed Will eating off the same pair of sticks. And Cheng couldn't help but focus on the Fae's lips. If he were lucky, they wouldn't have noticed him staring. Or maybe he'd be lucky if they did?

Then he went to feed Will too before reaching into the jar to get his own bite. Now they'd all used the same...
Ohhhhh. Riley looked over and he giggled a bit. This reaction to all this was a lot cuter than with his exes. One of them took it so weirdly personal. Bouncing over, he stole a kiss from Cheng's lips.
"One day we hope to have more than shared chopsticks in our mouths." A grin and then he waved for the man to have a seat at the table.

At this, he also nodded in agreement.
But to spare for Cheng from exploding, he grinned and started pointing to things on the table and explaining what they were. He's sure Cheng wasn't familiar with pizza, for example.

Cheng looked at all the various foodstuffs, noting there were foods he knew, foods that were somewhat familiar because of the Theerapanyakuls, and foods he had no idea about. It seemed strange that he had been here for so long and rarely divulged outside of his own culinary comforts. These Fae had changed him. Or maybe they had guided him into changing himself.
Finally seated and with the fact that he was between the two once again, he reached out to also gently squeeze Riley's thigh before focusing on the table. "I take it the meat and cheese pie thing doesn't require chopsticks?" he asked, referring to the pizza.

Loving the hand on his thigh, he scooted closer so he could make sure he'd get more of that from him. At the same time, he lifted one of the pieces of pizza up and brought it to his lips to have a bite in order to show Cheng how it was done. Well, he took a bite then tongued the cheese until he was able to break it and pull it into his mouth. It wasn't meant to be sexual but there it was.
Then he held the piece up to Cheng with a little gesture that he should try a bite to see if he liked it too. Riley was more than happy to share his piece with him, after all!

"Or you can fold it, like this," Will picked up a slice and folded the crust to make it a little more manageable. He was about to take a bite when his eyes went wide and he turned them intensely to Cheng.
"I forgot to ask... you don't have any food restrictions do you? Allergies or anything like that?"
no subject
"Allergies?" Was that a thing in his time? Probably. Only they didn't know it was allergies, then. Someone ate something and suddenly died, more than likely others would believe that food had been poisoned. But then again, the only thing he knows is an allergy. "No? By restrictions, you mean things I cannot eat, not things I don't like, yes?"
no subject
That was probably the best way to describe allergies to someone from a time when they wouldn't have existed really. Well, they would have existed but people wouldn't have really understood them. That was probably the more accurate way to think of it. So best to describe it in a way that the man would be able to make sense of. Cheng was still learning a lot of this stuff, after all!
"Basically we want to make sure to not make you sick."
no subject
"I forgot to ask," he offered sheepishly.

He lingered there at that moment, enjoying having another person to hold. It seemed to be a common custom with the future people to ensure that dietary needs were met and it was endearing. Something the Lan clan could learn from when they had dignitaries visit. And he hoped that the other sects showed the same courtesy as well.
But before he could go down that dark hole, Cheng turned back to Riley and waited expectantly with his mouth open for a bite of pizza.

Because he trusted this man with this information. Yes he was giving him a way to hurt them but he knew that Cheng wouldn't do that. He'd be like their family and he'd use that information to protect them instead. He could feel that in the very core of his being.
Lighting up at that open mouth, he carefully helped Cheng to get a bite of the pizza, even holding the piece there long enough for him to properly get the stringy cheese.
no subject
"Is this from the same place as the pasta with tomato sauce?" But with about the iron, he kept his arm around Will and offered a squeeze. "If I come into contact with pointy iron, I too will be hurt. But I understand what you mean. It is like nettles, then, yes?"
no subject
Once that was said, he sat back, still smiling. "Somewhat like that, but more severe. Like a burn."
no subject
Though he had to pause after a bite of kimchi. Because that was something he'd grabbed for himself after feeding Cheng some pizza. Humming, he swallowed. "Well Will might if that's what you're into. I'm more into getting stabbed by nice things than stabbing really."
Basically he was saying he was a switch who preferred bottoming. Obviously.

He held his chopsticks out to Cheng with a huge bite of kimchi on it. Since he'd liked it before clearly he should have some more right? And if a little got on his chin that was okay. It was okay to get a little messy sometimes.
"Ahhhhhh..."
no subject
"I don't know if I'd be interested or not. The topic only came up one other time, but before any of that could be explored, he had left."
Cheng wasn't talking about Huaisang, either.

"Is there anything here you want us to try? We have a little bit of a lot of stuff and maybe there's something here you recognize more than us."
no subject
"This is served every new year. It is to represent good things for the new year: progress, advancement, and growth."
With that, he reached over to cut portions of the cake and then cut it further so he could offer each Fae bite sized pieces.
