Open Valentine's Celebration

Over at Pete's in Yokohama, they had prepared a day to celebrate love. There were cute decorations about and the food tended to be served on heart shaped plates. More than that, they'd modified their menu to include the usuals but to also now have some special drinks for the week. Around the bar were little menus to let everyone know what these drinks were.

And what was the Cupid's Kiss? Why it was a little party popper filled with confetti that was made up of hearts and lips. A great way to celebrate with someone you loved whether it be friend or significant other. With the party going on for a week with the big party on Valentine's Day itself everyone was sure to have a great time and have their share of drug free booze to partake in.

And on the Day itself? The place would be packed. A food table with holiday treats could be found filled with all kinds of baked goods provided by The Bean Counter. Off to one side one could even play a little game of filling out a sheet to find out how well they knew their partner(s). Some of the questions were weird and some were expected. All part of the fun right? Anyone scoring higher than ten would get one free drink for the evening. Served in a giant glass to share with your loved ones, of course!

Ask the married couple who owns the bar and they might even be down to kiss each other for your eyes too. All in the name of love~

Had they asked Porsche to wear that costume? Oh absolutely not. But Pete was delighted by it anyway when his friend came back. He'd been moving bottles around to see if he could find the last button they were looking for but that could wait. This had to be addressed.

"Couldn't get enough after the mermaid thing? Now you've got to be Cupid?"

Porsche laughed, just thoroughly enjoying himself. "Had to be done. Just think, word will get out that Pete's has the best eye candy in Nippon working the bar and this place will be packed. Every night."

He leaned in closer as if imparting trade secrets. "Besides, this is going to drive Kinn crazy which always works out well for me."

While doing a quick check to make certain he had everything he wanted close at hand, he glanced at his friend. "So.... whatcha lookin for?" He had a pretty good idea but wanted to see if Pete would admit to it.

"You're getting your ass beat later, that's for sure."

He didn't know much about the sex life of those two beyond being aware it wasn't as kinky as his own. But he sure as hell could be sure there was a spanking in Porsche's future. Which honestly served to amuse the hell out of the former bodyguard.

Not suspecting anything from his friend though, Pete was honest. "We've got one button left to find. I figured since customers haven't found it that maybe it ended up back here..."

"If I'm lucky," he quipped back. Which was as much as he was going to say on the matter, probably to Pete's peace of mind. Friends didn't need to share everything. Such as the fact that the upstairs was off limits and there was nothing that could inspire Porsche to mess with that, regardless of his complete disregard for rules and limits at times.

"And you guys are sure it's not anywhere else? The back of the bar is the last place?" Butter wouldn't melt his mouth, he was so cool about it. "Oh, and let me know who found the others and who gets the drink rewards, will you?"

Breaking off to make a drink and let off a popper, there was something he'd been wondering. "Wouldn't it have been easier to just replace the buttons?"

"I already handed out the drinks when they turned the buttons in so you don't have to worry about that." It was just the last button that was the issue. He'd just have to look again later when he was helping Porsche to clean up this mess later. Since he was the one who helped to make it happen in the first place.

Pete went to pour a drink for someone and make a note to cut them off after this one. Definitely too much at this point.

"Hm? Replace the buttons for what?" Because he wasn't admitting to anything, thank you! "The buttons that we used for that event were just randomly scattered. That's all."

That was half the truth anyway.
