Over at Pete's in Yokohama, they had prepared a day to celebrate love. There were cute decorations about and the food tended to be served on heart shaped plates. More than that, they'd modified their menu to include the usuals but to also now have some special drinks for the week. Around the bar were little menus to let everyone know what these drinks were.

And what was the Cupid's Kiss? Why it was a little party popper filled with confetti that was made up of hearts and lips. A great way to celebrate with someone you loved whether it be friend or significant other. With the party going on for a week with the big party on Valentine's Day itself everyone was sure to have a great time and have their share of drug free booze to partake in.

And on the Day itself? The place would be packed. A food table with holiday treats could be found filled with all kinds of baked goods provided by The Bean Counter. Off to one side one could even play a little game of filling out a sheet to find out how well they knew their partner(s). Some of the questions were weird and some were expected. All part of the fun right? Anyone scoring higher than ten would get one free drink for the evening. Served in a giant glass to share with your loved ones, of course!

Ask the married couple who owns the bar and they might even be down to kiss each other for your eyes too. All in the name of love~

Now that she had her mocktail (the sherbert thing the Fae usually drank), she could people-watch. Did these devices have a range about translating languages? Wren wasn't certain and she kept tilting her head here and there to see if there was a range. Maybe it was a blanket magic on the surface of the earth? At any rate, Vegas was close to her when another party popper went off and she had to sip from her straw to hide her amusement as he turned to glare at 'cupid.'

"I take it the art herpes wasn't your idea," she said, opening up the floor for conversation.

"No," he practically snarled, though it wasn't directed at Wren. He was still glaring at Porsche as if to indicate it was his.

"Lucky for me, I'm not the one cleaning it up."

And that brought a smug smile to his face. If other people wanted to make a mess of his bar, other people could be the ones to lean it up after. Nor was he going to go easy on them when that time came.

"I swear it takes seven years to clean that up," Wren agrees, nodding. "Once, when I was six, one of the girls in my class had a birthday party and invited everyone but me. My mother heard about it and chose to teach me what grace was. We went out shopping and bought the one gift the girl wanted and we brought it home to wrap. Mom had me keep the last panel open on the wrap and carefully dumped one container of very fine glitter in it. Then we completed the wrap and the gift bag had glitter poured into the folds of the tissue paper."

She took a sip of her drink. "Ten years later, when I was in high school, that girl still complained how her mother wouldn't let her play with her favorite toy that day and the house was deep cleaned for weeks. I told Mom and she just smiled. She said, 'See, little bird, grace is accepting what's handed to you, even if it's negative and not your fault. Courage is teaching others that what they do to you is wrong and there will always be consequences."

Vegas laughed at the anecdote. "Sounds like my kinda lady," he quipped. He's not so sure about the grace part, but the revenge was nice.

"She's not the most stable person on the planet," she continued with a half smile. "Or most of them, actually. She's an acquired taste.

And with that, she sort of dives in with the introductions. "I'm Wren. And very newborn fresh new, here."

"Like I said, my type of lady." No one who knew Vegas for more than a day could consider him a particularly stable person either.

"Welcome. This place can be... a bit much sometimes. But it's not so bad with the right people around. I'm Vegas. This is my place."

"Ah, so you're the obsessed husband!" She's all smiles when she says that. "I think it's lovely, honestly. And I grew up in chaos. My family's alignment is basically in the D and D handbook. The family picture is next to Chaotic Neutral as a definition. So I'll roll with it and wait until someone finds me to take me home."
