[Closed to Four Seasons Manor residents + Ye Baiyi]
⌛ Who: Ye Baiyi and residents of the Four Seasons Manor
⌛ What: Missing arachnida (scorpion)
⌛ When: August 30
⌛ Where: Four Seasons Manor
⌛ Warnings:
He'd woken up to a strange but minor pain he couldn't identify. It lingers and he's not used to feeling something like this, but there are more important things to deal with. Namely, he can't find Xie Wang. It was odd given how the young man had been as glued to his side as a loyal hound the last week or so. It was also annoying, since that meant no breakfast. Fortunately, he knew where he could go that also had good food.
Like he has since he arrived, he shows up at the Four Seasons Manor and walks through the door like he owns the place. "Zhou Zishu? Brat?" He calls, making his way to the kitchen.

"Sell it if you don't want it."
As for a servant for a house he's only just learning about, he allows himself a smirk.
"I am sure you will find someone to take care of you. Until then, my offer stands." The offer to come here, if only for food.

"I lived fine on a mountain for nearly a century. I don't need someone to take care of me. But.. he'd been useful." He'd also been an emotional wreck. He shakes his head. "You have so many people already living here you might as well be an inn."

He could point out that Baiyi had just said he wants a servant. Instead, he shrugs a little. "This place is full of useful people. Surely someone would be willing to serve you, if you look."
It amuses him that his home is too noisy for the immortal. He loves the bustle and the various people who live here.

He pushes the tea cup toward Kexing and gives him an expectant look. More, brat.

"And I never asked you to keep him away from us," he tells Baiyi calmly. "However kind it was." And just as Kexing pours more tea for the immortal, Zishu nudges the bowl of food closer to the man. He really does look rather dreadful.

"Since when do I need your permission?" Baiyi snaps. He remembers his conversation with Gu Xiang and how frustrating that had been too. Gratitude apparently is something in short supply around this place. He didn't wait for Zishu to ask him about help with his nail situation and he certainly hadn't asked Kexing when he found him unconscious while Zishu was headed to the mountain.
If he wasn't getting fed right now, he might've stormed off. As it was, the first cup of tea had been enough to dull his pain enough to let him eat. At the bowl being pushed toward him again, he takes a sip of the tea before reaching for the fish. "What happens to people when they vanish from here?"
no subject
"No one knows for certain," Kexing mused as he went about preparing breakfast for the rest of the household (and perhaps something for Ye Baiyi, too, should his appetite prove to be what it normally was).
"We go back, I suppose."

Zishu pours himself a cup of the same tea his soulmate had given the immortal and sips at it, pondering that last question.
"Jing Beiyuan left then returned. He mentioned returning home." And the Lord Seventh would know, wouldn't he?

While the answer clarifies some things, he realizes that by going back to his own world, Xie'er has died. Was there a way he could've stopped that from happening? He'd thought at the time it was appropriate for Zishu to finally get revenge on Xie'er after what happened to Ghost Valley and Wen Kexing. That was before he'd gotten to know the young man better.
He shrugs and takes another bite or two of the dish he'd been given. As he chews, he decides they need a new subject.
"You should come visit my new house."
no subject
"You have a house already? Why are you loitering here?"
no subject
"I'll be sure not to in the future!" He snaps, the growl returning to his tone. "Ingrates." He rises. "I've said my piece."
no subject
"Sit down. Breakfast isn't over, you old toad."
