He'd woken up to a strange but minor pain he couldn't identify. It lingers and he's not used to feeling something like this, but there are more important things to deal with. Namely, he can't find Xie Wang. It was odd given how the young man had been as glued to his side as a loyal hound the last week or so. It was also annoying, since that meant no breakfast. Fortunately, he knew where he could go that also had good food.

Like he has since he arrived, he shows up at the Four Seasons Manor and walks through the door like he owns the place. "Zhou Zishu? Brat?" He calls, making his way to the kitchen.

Kexing, whose domain was in the kitchen, dead-eyed the old monster as he came sauntering in. "I don't cook for unannounced guests."

"Didn't you hear me just arrive?" Baiyi barks back, a little sharper than the last time they'd spoken. A hand rises briefly to his abdomen and he moves over to sit down on a stool. It's subtle but there's a slight heaviness to the way he moves and sits, certainly not the normal motion of the Immortal.

"Where are the others?"

"Training or bathing, probably," he snapped back. Yet, he couldn't help but notice the uncharacteristic weight that seemed to cling to Ye Baiyi. He barely spared a glance to the Immortal before nudging a bowl of rice with some dried fish on top his way.

"Because you helped A-Xu," he said gruffly as if that explained his momentary kindness.

He rolls his eyes at that reasoning, not asking about it. He really didn't care about this at the moment. His eyes slip to the bowl in front of him but doesn't reach of it. Instead, he lean forward and snatches a bottle of wine.

"This is where that idiot girl of yours gets her disrespect from."

"Respect is earned where we come from." he drawled.

"Haven't I?" He shoots back with a bitter growl to his tone. He pours himself a drink and drains it. As he pours another, he grumpily orders, "Go fetch your husband. I have news that concerns you both."

"You'll wait until he shows up for breakfast," Kexing growled in turn. "He'll be here soon enough. What hurry are you in, Immortal?"

He sighs heavily. It is so much effort to talk to this young brat. Although, he found talking to this young brat's brat even more exhausting.

"Fine, if you want me to wait, then make tea for me. Put ginger and ginseng in it." Maybe some herbs for vitality and energy would help him. It's been a really long time since he needed anything close to medicine.

Well. Zishu had told his ancestor he was welcome any time. Only partially because he knows how his husband 'loathes' the man.

But coming in for breakfast to see the man sitting, apparently waiting despite there being a bowl of food right before him has him a little concerned. He knows how much the immortal loves his food.

And ginger and ginseng tea? His eyes narrow just a little as he studies the man, wondering. His gaze moves to his husband, as it always does, silently checking the other over for signs of any attack - and finding none, thankfully.

So he nods to them both and takes a seat at the table, raising a brow.

"Ancestor Ye, what brings you this morning?"

"You, apparently," Kexing quipped. It certainly wasn't his company that the Sword Immortal came to Four Seasons Manor for. Still, there's the slightest hint of worry that shows in the way Kexing actually does brew some tea for him. It isn't exactly what he asked for, but it's a tonic that should help with his energy. "Here," he said to Ye Baiyi, pouring a cup for him. "Drink this. You look terrible."

Ye Baiyi is relieved when he isn't hassled further about the tea. He would've given as good as he got, but it would've required a lot more energy than he wanted right now. He almost scowls at seeing Kexing add something else to the tea than he'd requested, but for once he doesn't say anything about it. At least, about that. He says other things.

"Isn't it unfortunate for you that my 'terrible' is still mountains above your best?" He retorts grumpily. As he pulls the tea closer so he can take a drink, his attention moves to Zhou Zishu.

Instead of speaking, though, he reaches into his robes and sets a long ring on the table in front of Qin Hauizhang's disciple that should be easily recognized. "He's gone. You both can rest easy now."

The dragon wandering the grounds with a small fluffy black dog at his feet. His dragon features that had been brought about by the kizuna magic were on full display. Easy to spot for anyone who happened to look at him. Runyu wasn't really paying that any mind, simply encouraging the little dog to explore.

Seeing the man come in, he lifted a scaled brow as he watched him come in. Someone thought he was very important it seemed...

Xue Qianxun was just coming around the corner on his way to his rooms when someone almost ran into him. Looking at him, he observed him closely before adjusting his posture to have a hand behind his back with one in front. This stranger wasn't the only one who realized his own importance. This was an Immortal who had been accused of such in the past.

"Do you have cause for moving through here so bruskly?"

Kexing earns a brief grin at that chirp before Zishu returns his attention to Ye Baiyi. The grin fades when a familiar ring is set before him. His gaze moves from it, then back to the immortal at those words, then back to the ring and he picks it up.

It explains the faint headache he's been experiencing too.

And the tea.

Setting the ring back down, he moves it back to the immortal. "Thanking Ancestor Ye for the news."

Ye Baiyi feels eyes on him before he sees who it is. He turns quickly and lifts an eyebrow at the strange looking man. His hand almost strays to his chest where his discomfort was, but he catches it and any sign of weakness evaporates.

"Who- what are you?" He asks, stepping closer. "Why are you here in Zhou Zishu's home?"

Kexing shoots a glare at Ye Baiyi, but says nothing. What's important is whatever business he has with Zishu. He does, however, lift a brow at the sight of the ring. And bites his tongue to keep from asking if they should celebrate.

"An Immortal. Though if you mean my appearance the kizuna magic keeps me half transformed so you can always see that I'm a dragon."

Runyu smiled and then faced the man more. His dog hid behind his ankles due to being shy but he didn't try to make her come out. Instead he just offered a polite bow. "I am Runyu. The Four Seasons Manor is my home here."

He raises an eyebrow at Kexing. Really? No snide comment? He's actually a little impressed by the idiot's restraint, however out of character it was for him.

"His pipa is at my house if you'd like that back. I have no use for it." His house.. something he hasn't had time to tell them about until now. What was he going to do with that space now? Although he isn't as thrilled with the idea of living in this manor as he had initially been. Other people were noisy and nosy. Maybe he'll stay there and enjoy his solitude.

"I need a new servant."

Kexing doesn't need to say it for Zishu to know it. He's still pleased by the restraint and sends his beloved an approving glance before shaking his head at the offer.

"Sell it if you don't want it."

As for a servant for a house he's only just learning about, he allows himself a smirk.

"I am sure you will find someone to take care of you. Until then, my offer stands." The offer to come here, if only for food.

The news that this man is an immortal is surprising, though it isn't hard to sense now that he's aware of it. His own energy is a little weakened and he'd been distracted with the information he was bringing to Qin Huaizhang's disciple.

"How many people did that little brat invite here?" He mutters to himself grumpily, casting a judgmental gaze in a vague direction of where Zishu might be. He sighs and returns his attention to the dragon.

"I'm Ye Baiyi." If he should bow in response, he misses the cue (or ignores it). "What did you do to convince that fool to let you stay here?" He doesn't know this dragon and the man is way too close to his.. whatever they are.

"The only cause I need is because I choose to do it," Ye Baiyi tosses back. He's like a lion with a thorn in his paw today. "Who are you and what are you doing here in the Four Seasons Manor?"

Why had Zhou Zishu taken in so many strays? With so many here, he's more glad to have gotten a house elsewhere. Though that just reminds him of the metaphorical thorn.

"Nothing. He offered on his own and I accepted. It was kind of him and I appreciated the gestured."

The fact that he had been in quite the miserable place then... Well that was another story. It was almost a year ago now at this point really. Besides, it didn't change the fact at all that Zishu had offered without Runyu doing anything to convince him to do so.

"Who are you and why do you storm through the house of the masters of the Four Seasons Manor?"

Wen Kexing had become a friend of his. For some reason. He truly did not fully understand all of it but none of that mattered in the long run. What did matter was that he was now protective of him as a result and he did not know this man who dared to storm onto this property.

That did sound like something Zhou Zishu would do. The Lord of the Four Seasons attracted a number of people who ended up following him around like that little ankle-biter at Runyu's feet.

"What relationship do you have with him?" He asks, though some of that initial bark has calmed.

"He's a dear friend of mine. He has been there for me in my darkest hours whether he realized it or not. That means the world to me."

There was no reason to lie here. Or keep truths to himself. The man was amusing in how blunt he was. Protective which was nice to see. He could appreciate someone who cared that much about someone who was so important to the dragon.
