Tay said drinks were on him when all that madness in the Western Kingdom was over. Vegas wasn't about to forget that. There was a lot to celebrate, after all! Vegas and Pete eloped, Tay survived, they were all reunited, they had some solid plans for the future. They may not be able to find a club in the way Tay would like, but if the night turned into a bar crawl, would any of them complain? Wherever they landed, Vegas was sure to be buying the most expensive drinks on the menu since he's not paying.

The place had music -- nothing like they're used to, but at least it had music. Which would make for an interesting night as the longer they're out and the more champagne Vegas drinks, the more likely he is to try to drag the others into dancing (especially Pete). It may not be what they're used to, but they can still have a good time, right?

"Oh!" This was Kinn. Without the golden robe to identify him, he never would have been able to recognize him again. The man was quite a muscular person though wasn't he. That was easy for him to see even if he only gave that a glance before looking back to the face he couldn't recognize once more. "I'm so sorry, Kinn. It's nice to see you again."

Huh. Usually, Kinn is quite memorable. "It's alright. A lot's happened since then." What with the Yokai running amuck and everything. "It is good to see you. Your home weathered the... uh... festival okay?"

"Ah that's not...it..." How to explain? Probably he should just flat out tell him right? But first he'd been asked a question. "Yes. Tay was invaluable for helping to keep things safe."

Gaura licked his lips then ventured into the explanation. "I'm not sure if Tay has had the chance to tell you but I actually have face blindness. I can't recall faces or recognize emotions or things like that. So it's likely you'll have to tell me who you are every time we see each other..."

"Really!" That was fascinating. And there was nothing in Guara's demeanor to indicate he was lying about it. "Well, I can't take personally if you don't remember me, then. I don't mind reintroducing myself. It's a little refreshing to not being known by everyone, everywhere."

He offered the man a soft smile and nodded. It was nice to be in a place where something he couldn't help wasn't taken with immediate offense. Such things helped him to relax and Gaura smiled at the man again with a little bow of his head. "I've never really seen my condition as refreshing for anyone but it's nice that it is for you actually."

"How many rich businessmen have you met?" He tries to ease the possible uncomfortableness with his charm. "Everyone back home knows who I am and what I do. Celebrity status. Here? I can be the me who didn't get into business."

He laughed softly at that. "I wouldn't be able to tell you."

Because anyone could wear a suit. And he had a terrible eye for fashion. Something that wasn't obvious currently since Tay had been the one to dress him up and take care of his hair and makeup. "That must be nice though. To start fresh. That was what it was life for me too honestly."

"I don't know." He admits softly, eyes drifting back briefly to Vegas and Pete being... cute and married. "When I daydreamed about starting over, it wasn't alone."

He understood that feeling well. When he'd been back in his world, he'd never believed anyone could come around and be just his. Yet he'd still dreamed of it. Starting a new life with someone at his side. "They aren't a significant other, I understand that. But you aren't alone here."

He offered him a smile. "You have friends and family. Not everyone can claim that."

Guara was right! Maybe he was lonely, but he wasn't alone, if that made sense. Sighing softly, he nods.

"You're right. Thank you for reminding me."

"It can be hard to remember when the loneliness sets in. I was alone for a number of years. Sometimes it still amazes me how that isn't true anymore when I'm here."

He looked around until he was able to spot Henry and Tay. He was still so grateful to have both those men in his life. "I know we don't know each other well but I'm happy to be another friend of yours if you would like one. It won't chase away the feeling of being without a partner but at least it hurts a little less in my experience."

TERRIFYING

Kinn nods again, looking about.

"I'd like that. But... how do you manage to tell everyone apart if you can't recognize their faces?"

The poor thing. Corrupted by logic.

"Well, the truth is that I can't most of the time. For Henry, for example, there are others around who have traits like him so I'd never know it was him. But he wears a dahlia in his lapel every single day for me. So that way I always know who he is. Others do similar things for me, wearing a specific color or item every time they know they'll see me so I'll be able to recognize them."

So the consistency of those things was very much like how others had the consistency of faces. Only his was with things that people wore to help him out. It was something that he greatly appreciated beyond measure.

"With my condition I can have trouble telling animals apart and I can get lost really easily as well. So having some small gesture like that has been helpful. Even just having someone tell me who they are as soon as they see me is good."

He might die!

He listens, thinking about it. "I will try my best and remember that. Is there anything that reminds you of me? Or should I just pick something out?" Vegas was easy enough to remember-his fashion sense was very... original.

"Oh." He had only been able to see him a couple of times really. Once in that gold outfit and now like this. Two wildly different outfits. "Maybe if you just tell me you're Kinn? You seem to have a wide range to your fashion so I'm not sure I'd be able to keep up."

His nods. "That's reasonable. I change to whatever is best given the situation. And finding a good trinket to make one stand out isn't... really favorable in my line of work, sometimes."

"I understand. And you don't have to do anything for me that would put you in an unfavorable position. It's more than enough that you'd like me to remember you at all and are willing to have patience with me." That meant so much to him because it was sign that someone cared about him and wanted to know him without finding his condition too inconvenient or annoying.

That sounded like an acceptable compromise so he nodded. "I can do that Gaura." Alliances, no matter how small or insignificant, were precious, especially when they were all trapped here.

Gaura then seemed to recall something and smiled a little brighter at Kinn. "Oh. Please let me know what your favorite Thai dishes are. I'd like to be able to make them for you if you are ever able to visit my home for a meal."

Kinn smirks at that statement. "You sure about that? It can get pretty hot in a Thai kitchen."

The pink haired man actually laughed and gave Kinn a big smile. It even made those dark eyes of his seem to sparkle. "Try me."

Kinn actually grinned then. "Fine. Neua Pad Prik, Pad Ka Prao, Tom Klong Pla Grab, and Gaeng Kua Kling. Though Vegas would be better at giving you the ingredients and instructions. He's the best cook out of all of us."

"That's alright. I know how to make them," Gaura said simply with a smile that was now making the corners of his eyes crinkle. "I grow all kinds of peppers and chilis in my garden so I'm ready even for Thai levels of spice."

"Then I will look forward to trying out your skillset," Kinn stated, enjoying the way Guara seemed to light up at the thought. "I will be happy to be a critique for your dishes."
