Open Catch-All (TDM Prompts)

⌛ Who: Gaura and whoever joins him!
⌛ What: Some TDM prompts and general exploring
⌛ When: Beginning of June
⌛ Where: Various locations
⌛ Warnings: Gaura has face blindness so if your character has met him before and he doesn't recognize them immediately that will be why!

I. Arukibake

While wandering around to try to get to know his surroundings better, Gaura had noticed the little creatures were following him. However, their presence didn't bother him since they seemed harmless. Though since they'd started following him he'd been given many offers of food and comfort. It was strange honestly. Confusing. But now he had an armful of food that he'd been given which made handling his device a challenge.

Sure that he'd made a wrong turn somewhere, he paused to try to handle the abundance of food he held, the little creatures gathered around his feed to gaze up at him. More coming as he thought about how nice it would be to share all this food with someone but didn't have any of his new friends near him.

"Do you eat, little ones? I can't tell..." he murmured with a soft sigh.

II. Sarusawa Pond

Finding the pond had honestly been an accident. However, he couldn't say that he had any regrets. The water was so much like glass that he was able to see every star reflected in it. Sitting next to the pond, he brought out the instrument that he'd purchased at a stall and started to figure out how to play the bamboo flute. It took a little bit of time but soon he was messing around with the sound to create a lovely melody.

Unaware of any company he might lured over with the music, he kept his eyes closed while he played, at peace in the shadows of the night with just the stars to light the world around him.

III. Meteor Shower

Never before had he seen anything so beautiful. With all the lights out the sky was so clear and every star that fell brought a gasp from his lips. Gaura couldn't stop smiling as he gazed at the wonderful rainbow tails of some that fell. Though whispers of wishes could be heard around him he didn't make a wish himself. He wasn't even sure what he would wish for in the first place except for the happiness of everyone that he'd met here so far.

Perhaps he should call one of them to join him. Henry in particular would probably find wonder in the magic of the rainbow tails. But he didn't want to bother any of them in case they were busy. He could always tell them about it later if need be. They would like hearing the story, of that he was certain.

Reaching up a hand, he pretended like he could catch one, even though he knew how impossible that was. "...beautiful..."

That sounded sad... but something good came of it.

"You won't have to worry about that anymore." Not like Silver could provide anything other than standard issue housing.

"About getting crumbs on the bed? That's what the towel is for."

Gaura watched him a moment curiously before looking ahead again. He wasn't sure what had brought up that thought when he'd told him about the wonder of the towel but that was alright.

"Oh, no, I meant..." Silver lets out a breath and gives Gaura's arm a squeeze. "Nevermind all that. I'm happy to learn this secret to spare the bed from crumbs!"

He meant something else? Gaura wondered what it was but didn't ask the man. Instead, he just opened the door for them when they arrived, leading the way to the kitchen. There he went to start toasting the bread right away as he gathered everything else.

"Would you like an herbal tea? Since it's so late?"

Silver leaned against the kitchen doorway, staying out of Gaura's way while watching him. Ah, he seemed so at ease at whatever he did. It was relaxing just to watch him do something as simple as make sandwiches.

"Do we have any chamomile?"

"We do."

Getting that, he started to get the water ready, humming softly as he worked. Sandwiches were made according to the preference of each of them, Gaura having paid close attention to the things that made Henry the happiest to eat. When he was almost done, he smiled at him.

"Could you grab the towels? I'll bring everything in in just a moment."

Ah, he's so cute when he smiles. Silver just stares for a moment before he shakes his distraction off to fetch the tea towels. He drapes two over his arm and returns to his perch at the doorway to see if Gaura needs help carrying anything.

"What else can I do?"

Setting everything onto a tray, Gaura was carefully heading toward the bedroom when he saw Henry. The offer got a smile and a shake of his head. He could manage this, he was sure of that much. It was a little heavy with the pot of tea but nothing he couldn't handle.

"Lead the way. I'll follow."

Silver smiled fondly and nodded. He turned from the kitchen, confident Gaura would let him know if he needed help, and led the way to his room. That's where they always slept, so he assumed that's where they'd be going. He turned the covers down so they could get comfortable and made room on the bedside table for Gaura's tray of food.

Setting the tray down, he got onto the bed with room for Henry there to join him then took a towel to show him out to put it over his lap and bed before handing him food. Tea as well. Pleased to have this moment with him, Gaura let himself lean against his friend while they ate. "Enjoy."

Silver settled in beside Gaura. This was a pleasant end to a pleasant evening and he's been glad for every moment of it. He watched how Gaura placed the towel across his lap and did the same. This little trick thrilled him more than it should, but... he's always enjoyed learning and this was something new. He felt like there's so much he could learn from his friend.

"What's your favorite kind of tea?"

"My favorite?"

Taking a bite of his food, he thought about that for a moment or so. He knew that floral were definitely the ones he liked the most. Not everyone enjoyed them since they could taste like perfume if prepared poorly. But he'd learned ages ago to make sure he took care when doing so.

"Hibiscus, I think. It's got a fruity flavor to it but it also has a lot of benefits for the body too. I don't get to have it a lot so my second favorite is Jasmine or Lavender."

"I've never had hibiscus tea before. I'd like to try it." Because if it's Gaura's favorite, it must be good. Well, and he wanted to learn more about what Gaura's likes and dislikes were. He'd be happy to try drinks and food if Gaura liked them.

"If I find some I'll make sure to make it for you!" So far he hadn't really gone out of his way to look for it. But he could change that up now. Besides, it would be nice to have some around. Good to keep them both nice and healthy. "I know you might not have because of where you're from but...have you ever tried iced tea?"

He had to think about it, evidence that if he did have it, it wasn't often. "I think my mother served it once at a soiree when I was very young."

"Oh. I didn't realize that you would have had it there when you were young. I've always been under the impression that the people of England are very against iced tea." Well, that was a new thing to learn! He would keep that in mind that it was a rare thing. Hot tea was likely more common but best not to assume in the future.

"Well, if you have Hibiscus tea cold then it's very refreshing. Like when you have cool juice to quench your thirst."

"It's not terribly common. I'm rather certain it was served as a novelty. I, personally, hold nothing against a refreshing drink. Especially if you recommend it." Ah, he smiles shyly, but takes a cup of the chamomile tea to sip before taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Gaura, I'm very happy that you're here with me."

His cheeks colored a little and he smiled, hiding that behind a bite of sandwich. A bit of the sauce he'd put on his had gotten on his finger so he stuck it in his mouth to suck it off, looking over at Henry with it still between his lips. He smiled again before pulling it free.

"I'm really happy that I'm here with you too."

Oh... oh!

Silver's eyes widen slightly, fixated on what should be a simple, innocent gesture. And yet, he finds his skin growing warm and... Oh, God! Yes, that's an awkward stirring between his legs. He's thankful for the towel to hide the evidence of his burgeoning arousal. But how was he supposed to keep it hidden when Gaura was unlikely to leave his bed until morning?

Panic stopped his thoughts and all he could do was stare at Gaura's lips. They looked so soft... Good Lord, Silver, focus! Silver pressed his lips together and muffled a very quiet whine, tearing his eyes from his friend's face to the teapot just beside him. Swallowing hard, he held out his cup. "Uh, could I have some more tea?" If there's something strained in his voice, Gaura definitely wasn't imagining it.

Though he couldn't read emotions on faces, if they were obvious enough in voices he could pick up on them. And suddenly Henry's voice was rather strained. Enough so for Gaura to look at him with some concern before turning to grab the pot so he could carefully refill Henry's cup. As he put it away, he looked back to him.

Due to the spicier sandwich he'd been eating? His lips were definitely pinker at the moment. "Henry are you alright?"

"Yes," he lied without thinking. Then, after a pause, "... no?"

Silver chewed the inside of his cheek and shifted where he sat, hemming and hawing about revealing the truth. Or part of it, at the very least. He took a long sip of his tea and decided to go with a somewhat honest explanation.

"I would very much like to kiss you."

No? Now he was more worried. Gaura couldn't figure out the problem though and wished more than ever that he didn't have this blindness so he could see whatever emotion was on Henry's face in that moment.

But then the confession came. Soon his face was easily brighter than his hair as he stared at the man.

Swallowing, he licked his lips then shyly replied in a quiet voice. "...you can..."

Grey eyes blinked at that answer. He thought for certain it was too soon, that he hadn't made his intentions clear enough. Yet, given the way the night had gone and the fact that Gaura wasn't recoiling at the mere suggestion... Silver turned to set his tea on the bedside table (lest he spill it in their laps!). When he turned back to Gaura, his heart beat faster and, well, they were already sitting so close he didn't have to scoot nearer. He lifted a hand to cup Gaura's cheek and leaned in to press their lips together. It's chaste only for a moment before Silver's tongue pries between Gaura's lips for a taste of that wet heat just beyond.

Gaura felt his heart beating so fast. He hadn't even been sure if Henry would want him that way. At all. Perhaps that was due to his face blindness or simply believing he couldn't be desired that way. It didn't matter the reason really because the fact was that none of that was true and the man he'd been falling rapidly for wanted to kiss him.

Was going to kiss him.

Was kissing him.

This was hardly his first kiss. But this was his first with someone he had feelings for. Where he wasn't just a pretty face, based on what he'd been told, and there was emotion in it. It was so warm and for a moment he forgot to breathe as he leaned into the touch. A gasp soon left him as the kiss went deeper but that didn't stop him from returning it. His food was quickly forgotten on his plate in favor of his hand clutching Henry's shirt instead.

Food? What food? Though he was hardly so sloppy as to overturn the plates in their laps, it was all but forgotten. All that mattered was Gaura's soft skin beneath his palm and the warmth of his lips. Silver felt drunk but his heart pounded so loudly he was sure his friend could hear it. Wait... They're more than friends now, right?

Well, he could think about all that later. At the moment, he just wanted to enjoy their closeness and the way their tongues moved against each other and the faint hint of spice from Gaura's sandwich lingering on his lips.
