( open ) there ain't no party like a mafia party
⌛ Who: Those Thai mafia guys, adjacent CR, and anyone who just wants to crash a good time
⌛ What: Celebrating an elopement, Tay's survival of all that chaos in the Western Kingdom, and other things
⌛ When: Early November
⌛ Where: J. Random Bar or two or three
⌛ Warnings: will be added in threads as needed
Tay said drinks were on him when all that madness in the Western Kingdom was over. Vegas wasn't about to forget that. There was a lot to celebrate, after all! Vegas and Pete eloped, Tay survived, they were all reunited, they had some solid plans for the future. They may not be able to find a club in the way Tay would like, but if the night turned into a bar crawl, would any of them complain? Wherever they landed, Vegas was sure to be buying the most expensive drinks on the menu since he's not paying.
The place had music -- nothing like they're used to, but at least it had music. Which would make for an interesting night as the longer they're out and the more champagne Vegas drinks, the more likely he is to try to drag the others into dancing (especially Pete). It may not be what they're used to, but they can still have a good time, right?

Because he wanted to make certain that Riley was safe. And if the boyfriend was going to be an issue? Well, he would do what he needed to in keeping Riley safe.

Riley shrugged because for him it wasn't that big of a deal. Sure Baiyi was overprotective but the Fae had managed for six years taking care of himself. He could do it again even if he wasn't on his own anymore here. "He thinks you guys have a dark aura or something around you but I already know you're mafia. So it's okay."
no subject
But that didn't mean Vegas was going to hunt down the guy. Not yet, at least.
no subject
"Also I guess I made friends with Vegas. So that didn't really go the way I agreed it would when you warned me about him. But he's been pretty good to me so far?"
no subject
"I will warn you, when Vegas has a target, he isn't going to let go. Which means if your beau didn't want him to be friends with you, Vegas will be thick as thieves now."
no subject
"So Vegas is going to put even more effort into being my friend and family because of what Baiyi said? Wow. You guys can be super intense." But it could be way worse. He was pretty okay with this outcome.

Even if Baiyi didn't want him to and wanted to keep him from seeing them ever again he wasn't going to do that. They were his family and he understood their darkness. He knew who and what they were. He wasn't going to just run from that just because it was so scary to other people.
no subject
"Thank you for giving him a chance. All of us, really." He offered a warm smile. "Vegas... I think he'll be okay here. We shouldn't have to worry too much about him."
no subject
He offered the man a soft smile and reached out to pat his hand. "You worry too much. You're gonna get grey hairs."
no subject
“Stop. You’re not my keeper.” The tease is light as he accepts the touch. “Ready for another refill?” Juice or soda, he didn’t care. Maybe he could convince the bar tender for some virgin Daiquiri or something.

Besides, it would just be a great chance to hang out with Kinn more. Properly this time rather than wasted off his ass.

He grinned as he popped what looked like a caramel piece into his mouth.

There's a smile as he finally takes in the candy. Yep. Sweet. Just like his brother.
no subject
Huh. He wondered if that was a Fae thing or not. Like maybe his body was just rapidly healing itself somehow. He honestly couldn't be sure but that was okay. He got to enjoy his favorite thing without the consequences and that was the best!
"What? Are you saying I'm sweeter than sugar?" Riley grinned at him.
no subject
And with his grin, he nudges Riley gently. "So do you have a favorite candy or is it, 'if it's sweet, it's my favorite'."
no subject
He looked around until he found one that he'd eaten earlier that was like that. Picking it up, he held it up to show Kinn. "Like this. It starts off harder but as you suck and chew on it you get to the center and it's like a flavor explosion as you find the soft center."
no subject
He pops that bit in his mouth and waits. "So you like surprises, then."
no subject
And he'd always been taught to appreciate all the little things around him. But after being on the run he'd come to value them so much more. They gave him so much life. "Do you like them when they're fun ones?"

But back to good ones, he smiled and nodded. "Yeah. It really tastes like cherry too!"
